Why are English clubs always failing in the Champions League?

...

Shit teams, shit tactics and shit players. Any other answers are just excuses

not enough memes

Define """"""always""""""

>always

NOT SO FAST, ADOLF

why are german teams doing the same?

Compare the amount of money that is spend every year in the Bundesliga and the EPL. In this respect we are doing good.

the amount spent says nothing about the quality of a player anymore

Tougher league. Barca and Real get 30 training sessions a season against part time players and can focus on the CL knowing they'll still finish 25 points ahead of the rest. If you're not on your game every weekend in the PL you will drop points. Look at Pep, unparalleled dominance in that La Liga and that other joke league yet has been exposed and is having a mental breakdown trying to cope with teams that actually score against you

What if the baby poops in the vagina while the mother is giving birth?

Because there are many good PL teams and the talent in that league is spread out amongst them unlike other leagues where all the top talent goes to 1/2 teams.

Tougher league is the worst excuse ever. If the Premier League was so competitive then the standard is so much higher and teams must be sharper, stronger and better-prepared.

Because no liverpool

>we

Far to many games here with no winter break.

Premier league
English League Cup
Football Association Cup.
Champions league / Europa League

All teams in to top 6 are expected to get far in these competitions

At least your NT doesn't give your players a lot of stress.

>Being this predictable

>the talent in that league is spread
Oh yeah the mighty Stoke and Burnley are feared allthrough out Europe

Stupid excuse. If that was the case then PSG and Bayern would dominate the CL, not Spanish teams. Besides Bayern did better in CL during Heynckess era, when they had actual competition in the league than during Pep's reign, when they could probably play with 2nd squad and still win the league.

This is the only valid argument I would accept. The amount of redundant and pointless cup games in the EPL is hilarious. This is what happens when greed and foreign invenstors take over everything

Green meconium will pass, speaking from experience.

Stoke are decent though.

Nice quads but

Because the Premier League and heck, even the FA Cup are more prestigious than the """Champions""" League

Have fun playing against teams like Basel or PAOK

kek. This is why I can't take you seriously

Youre very dumb. Spain are buying the best and most expensive, then Bayern, then us. At least we're not France!

Spanish clubs buy better

Players like Bale and Pogba (inflation adjusted) were both worth the same money

the most recent of those cups started in the 60s, long before foreign investment

Why is United included? They haven't really been shit in the CL until they actually became a shit team. So they only underperformed in 2012.

>only have 3 cls despite being the top team in england for decades

compare that to real, bayern, milan when they dominated their leages

I think Bayern's "most expensive" transfers have been between $30 and $40 million. Nowhere near what some PL Teams are spending. Bayern is actually pretty smart when it comes to investing in players (apart from Sanches)

and Flöpze

/thread

Manure and liverkek turned into shit.

This. Their scouting is great and they actually understand football.
Bundesliga pays like a third higher wages on average as them and the teams aren't as good.
PL clubs are pants on head retarded in that way though.

>most expensive
>Bayern
You're really overestimating how much Bayern spends on players

t. United bandwagoner

Rental Sanches' transfer fee was 150 million euros all added up m8

Arnautavic, Shaquiri, Bony, Bojan. All decent.

>150 million

Because every team is mediocre, so in the end it seems to be a "tough" league, but its an illusion because everyone is just mediocre.

Reminder that the last time England won the CL, it was regarded as the greatest miracle in all of sports history.

No it wasn't, Buyern were just seen as shitty chokers.

Fair enough it's speculative and based on performance but that is the overall fee m8.

I did state apart from Renato Sanches, I still don't understand why they would spend so much for a player like him.

Holy shit how did nobody check this post?

If Barca or Real were in the Premier League, they would get even more points than they do in Spain (no Atleti or Sevilla to worry about).

Spanish clubs are just better across the board. Out of the last 48 times that Spanish clubs have met non-Spanish clubs in a knockout game (two legs), Spanish clubs have won 45 of them. Every European club trophy in the last three seasons has gone to a Spanish club. It's ridiculous how dominant they are, it's approaching Serie A in the 90s levels.

Based

Stoke did well in the Europa League in 2011/12.

They were completely dominant less than 10 years ago. And aside from 5 very specific teams, it's not like there's been widespread success outside of the English clubs

But they do suck right now lol

Weak b8 m8

united's domestic to european championship ratio is the worst of the 4, but its not too far behind bayern's. Milan and real are way ahead.

They weren't. They won 2 CLs in 10 years, which is fewer than the number that Italian clubs won.

>And aside from 5 very specific teams, it's not like there's been widespread success outside of the English clubs

Real Madrid, Milan, Bayern, Barcelona, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Porto....

>All teams in to top 6 are expected to get far in these competitions

Are they? It seems like the top English clubs consistently use weaker teams in the League Cup.

ajax and porto have both been completely irrelevant in the past decade, retard.

i wasn't talking about the whole decade, if you read carefully. tehre was like a 4 year stretch where the top english teams were clearly better than teh top group from any other league.

>ajax and porto have both been completely irrelevant in the past decade, retard.

So have Arsenal and to a lesser extent Liverpool (reached a final in 07 but are now ranked 40th in Europe).

>a 4 year stretch where the top english teams were clearly better than teh top group from any other league.

Yet they only won the CL twice in that stretch (and in the entire decade).

>They "only" won 2 CLs and put a bunch of teams in the late rounds in a 4 year stretch.

Lol wow they really SUCKED

Spanish clubs won the same number of CLs in the same period (2006 and 2009). So did Italian clubs (2007 and 2010). What makes that period some special time of English dominance?

English clubs haven't been dominant since the 70s and early 80s

Italians dominated the 90s, nobody really dominated the 00s (3 Italian, 3 Spanish, 2 English, 1 Portuguese, 1 German), ans Spanish clubs are dominating this decade.

>At least we're not France!
because you let shady businessmen/corporations take control of your clubs
if english clubs had to play with english players they would be ukrainian league tier

>10 million transfer loss + 3 years of €12 million salary
meh, at least he played and scored goals for bayern and not dortmund

Exactly. Gotze was worth more to Dortmund than he could ever be to Bayern, and by taking him for a few years (and, as far as I can tell, ruining his career), Bayern got to dramatically increase the gap between themselves and Dortmund. Damn good deal.

Fatigue from a tough schedule, poor tactics, and players that are just inferior to those of the top 5 clubs (Atleti, Real, Barca, Bayern, Juve).

Does nobody remember those years in the 00s when EPL was getting 3-4 into the quarters and 2 into the semis repeatedly?

Why is looking at only champions better methodology than looking at total CL wins? Hypothetically if a league got 3 in the semis and lost the finals, their quality is undeniable imo

Why the obession with English teams? Right now the Spanish are dominating through world class players and state funding. These things come in phases though, in the 70s english teams dominated, in the 80s italian this is just spains time.

>Why is looking at only champions better methodology than looking at total CL wins?

Because the competition gets more difficult as time goes on. Teams can rack up tons of wins in the group stage and the round of 16 year after year against shit teams like Malmo and Arsenal, but it doesn't say much about how they compare to the elite clubs.

People remember, but Italian clubs were doing the same thing at the same time. That's not dominance. Dominance for English clubs was the 70s and 80s, when they won like 7 out of 8 possible finals.

he's right tho
not that epl is full of "better" teams, rather all the teams are equally as shit, so there is a very small skill gap between the clubs unlike germany and spain

>A fucking dentist
