Steve Wilson is pretty good, and relatively recent
Making them longtracks

To Be Kind

Ed Sheeran's new album has some elements of prog

Coheed and Cambria
(first 3 albums anyway(The afterman was pretty proggy too))

post favourite prog albums and other anons rec similar sounding albums
ill go first

the mars volta

i saw thits exact pic file in r9k just yesterday

This, everything from their discography except Year of The Black Rainbow and their newest album is great. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 is a 10/10

i feel like TBK is more post than prog rock tho. the songs are pretty straightforward technically, but are more about creating a hypnotic atmosphere anyway

Try Van Der Graaf Generator (Pawn Hearts to Still Life) and NeBeLNeST s/t

I'm looking for a band similar to Focus, especially pic related (symphonic prog, flutes, jazz influences). I already know bands like Jethro Tull obviously so please don't rec those

cheers
try renaissance - scheherazade (very symphonic)
iberia - musica urbana (for more jazzy stuff)
il balletto di bronzo - ys

are the albums between court of the crimson king and red worth listening to?

Definitely. All of them are worth listening to, but Islands and Larks' Tongues in Aspic might their best work. God I love those albums

what genesis album is the best?
rush?

mine are Foxtrot
and 2112

the lamb lies down on broadway is my pick, though I wouldn't argue with someone who chose foxtrot or selling England by the pound

this
The Lamb is a beast of an album.
