First and foremost we have to take a look at Lebanon's demographics before modern Israel was founded, and before the Palestinian emigration into Lebanon.
The last official census was in 1932, and that included only mount Lebanon. This means that every other region that is part of the country today was excluded from the census.
The result of the census was as follows:
51% of the population was christian while 49% was muslim. The whole concept that Lebanon was a "Christian country" is wrong. It was a Christian majority country, with muslims living along side them and making up the rest of the country.

It was this small difference between the amount of christians and muslims that lead to the tensions forming between the two religions and eventually the civil war.
You also have to understand that back then a majority of the muslims were poor farmers, while a majority of the christians had more fullfilling and providing jobs. My own grandfather tells me that back then the Christians had a monopoly on the job market. They'd refuse to hire muslims in favor of their Christian bretheren. This could be a factor that was intensifying the tensions, but it could also be the biases and misinformation of an old man.

It is a definitive truth that the civil war wasn't just a war between whose religion would dominate, it was a also a classist war as the poor class (muslims) wanted to be treated more fairly. The tensions were pretty high up until the 70s where the arab-israeli conflict forced out a huge chunk of palestinian muslims to take refuge in Lebanon. It was like adding oil onto fire. The existing tensions intensified and finally exploded into a civil war that lasted 30 years.
The formation of Israel, and the expulsion of the Palestinians from their lands was the spark that lit the war. If modern Israel never existed in the first place, then the country would have probably ended up much better than it is today. Israel played a huge role in the civil war along with Syria.
The Palestinians rats started shooting rockets towards Israel from the southern part of the country bringing the Israeli-Pali conflict into Lebanon and forcing Israel to mobilize a strikeforce to contain and get rid of the pests firing from the south. Not only had the Palis thrown the country into a civil war but now they had Israel invading from the south too.
And with the Christians getting overwhelmed but the muslims they allied with Israel and recieved arms. This was act of betrayal as they had just allied with enemy that caused this entire situation in an attempt to drive the muslims and palestinians back.
The Palestinian pigs where indeed a menace that needs to be exterminated, but forming and alliance with the country that forced this entire situation upon your country was dumb.
However disgusting the palis might have been they were far less of threat than the zionist filth that has destroyed this country. A lot of people say the 2006 war was Hezbollah's fault as they started it but these people are speaking from their asses. They don't understand that every single fucking day Israel breaches the border either by air or by land. Especially back then where they'd kidnap farmers living along the borders. It was a continuous battle, it was far from peaceful. What hezbollah did was justified. It was a planned attack to get back their kidnapped bretheren but the zionists refused to be treated the same way they treat us. So they started bombing cities left and right claiming all civilian casualties to be collateral damage.

Regardless of what hezbollah is, since when is bombing civilians okay? Things are slowly moving forward, public services never really fully stopped, but rather there was no moving forward.
