He sacrificed true artistic expression for greater pop appeal, what did you expect.

You guys need to chill with your bullshit.
first time u2 ever been on a 3.76 album tho looooool
?????
>RYM
top kekku, most of those scores are from first listeners anyways, they are all wrong.
those scores are vastly inflated anyway because "muh dadrock wrong generation".
Newer releases have much lower scores
Do you think U2 are a bad band user
its a lot better than to pimp a butterfly at least. its shit compared to maad city tho
>"they don't have 3.76 albums on rym"
>"yes they do"
>"lol whatever they're inflated anyways"
yes
more than half the tracks are mediocre
Ok
When pitchfork give it a score above 9 it will go up just wait
That's a shame
they're going to give it a 8.5
screencap this fucking post
GKMC and TBAP sat below 4 for a long ass time. They've become more classic over time. Also they both have like 10+k rating and DAMN. just came out. Not saying it'll go up to a 4 but these facts are important to consider.
IIRC they gave untitled unmastered a 8.6
No way are they giving damn anyth8ng lower than that
It will be at least a 9
This is merely competent, which is a letdown whatever the stans say. Yeh, it's unpretentious, but it's not charmingly loose and free like the untitled record, just workmanlike. "Fire" verses, "fire" beats, but nothing new, no real invention at all. For someone who's shown himself capable of lots more, it's meh
[Then again, GKMC is clumsy moralistic tripe and everyone seems to love that middle school Outsiders level shit anyway—Ponyboy in Compton, more like]
Anyway, this is one for the j Cole fans and the bros who talk about "lyricism" in reverent tones and the forum dwellers who earnestly debate who's the best rapper alive like it matters. Myself, I feel no urge to listen to it again any time soon
(feat. U2)
RYM are racist
>what went wrong?
World History. The BLM brand has lost consumer appeal.
xD epic post my friend!
this is structured like a christgau review with a brain injury
the 10/10 Fantano review hasn't dropped yet
How many subgenres do we need for talking into a mic?
