In tone it's sort of dark, I suppose. But what's more consistently true for comedy in all countries is that we suck at it. Touring comedians, tv-shows, films, it's all really unfunny. Even if you figure out what sort of sense of humour is common here, we haven't had much luck inspiring people to cater to it. Scandinavian drama tends to be much better.
Pic related is about the only movie I've heard is actually funny in the last few years. Maybe go with it.

It varies very much by country or rather by language, Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) have very different humour, Nordic humour in general I'd say is very much about the absurd, cringe, sometimes dark humour. I'd say Danes are probably the funniest of them, Nowegians second funniest, (Danes are evil tho, so if you laugh you support imperialism) Finnish and Icelandic humour are also different from the Scandinavian humour which does share a general "vibe" despite national differences, more plays on words, linguistic absurdities, I think Danes and Icelanders are edgier, but that's just my feeling, Swedes can be edgy af too. Of course it's all just my opinion. Don't know about Faroese or Greenlandic humour tho.

Hugleikur Dagsson is also a funny Icelandic comedian, he has a show called Hulli which is on RÚV, you can watch all episodes free on the RÚV site, dno if you have to fake ur IP as Icelandic, might not be open to foreigners, it's state TV.

Fuck, we have a reality/documentary show consisting purely of people with Downs syndrome. A detective movie with a down syndrome as the main lead. Downs syndrome in almost every sketch and comedy show.
It's pretty ridiculous actually how much focus on downs syndrome there is here.
