Yeah. Don't use that hand to swipe your credit/debit card anymore.

why?

How will border crossing work?
Also, have fun at MRIs

This.

ive got an rfid implant and havent had any issues

Watch your hand when you on suck on your fat daddy's pierced dick from now on

stupid fucking people what is with this fucking fad?

I can see RFID implants having some interesting uses, but a magnet just seems kinda useless.

Get another implanted in your shaft and jerk off, tell us how it is

Yeah it's basically a parlor trick, and not even a very good one.

>hey uh... wanna see something cool?
>uh... yeah, sure
>ok cool do you have a paperclip?
>no...no I do not
>ok well... maybe a pin?
>no
>any metal?
>I've got some pennies
>yeah that won't work
>my wrist watch is metal
>too heavy
>oh shoot
>y-you know what? Just forget it...

Yeah i wouldnt worry about that to much, just try to tell the doctor (if possible). Ive also once got an MRI with two bullets stuck in my Arm and he just shielded it with wet towels

People who get magnets are usually electricians, and use it to find live wires through walls.

/this

If only there were tools which would do that with much greater accuracy.

I have one, only problem I've run into is can't use that finger for rock climbing any more (pressure against the magnet gets very uncomfortable).

best thing about it imo: I can feel the magnetic fields coming off live AC wiring, helps avoid getting shocked. plus all the party tricks you can do.

rolllllll

There has to be a better way.

do it

make sure it doesn't get infected, you probably know ideal placement in the ring finger. Just don't crush it, it'll either be fucking shit or fucking sick.

Thank u for some serious responding... du you think i still could go to the gym few weeks latter?

it's like an extra sense

You can sense stuff like how magnetic something is, and even can actually feel when your stove is on etc

you can feel large electrical fields with it

This.

Is this just to appear cool and edgy or something?

While it is mostly a novelty body mod for most people, you don't get a magnet implant just to magnetize small objects.

You completely underestimate how convenient and accurate it is.

youtube.com/watch?v=x2cNmtO3YXw

Wait for real? Is the procedure expensive? It actually sounds really neat.

You'll never be able to fly on a plane or get through customs ever again.
Enjoy.

Avoid touching metallic objects

And you completely underestimate how quickly the real world would show any electrician who thought that was acceptable where the exit was.

Well what he can do is get some magnetic surgical steel balls and stuff them in his uthera then pull them up and down his shaft.

It needs to be coated in I think silicone, or your body will reject it and you get sepsis.

That being said, this is pretty much gaining a localized, extra sense. There's a constant, weak force acting on you from magnets and electric fields and you can feel them out pretty exactly.

You'll notice that relatively few have tried to get a magnetic ring first to try it out, which would do the same thing

So who will implant it? Do doctors actually do this type of surgery?

Your body will create a nerve cluster around it which will increase the sensitivity of the magnet. You can hold your hand over a computer and tell whether it's on or off with just your finger.

Never have an MRI

it would be a fail-safe replacement for pic related
what difference does it make how the electrician detects current or not?

Generally avoid doing lame magic tricks with your new magnet-finger in public--keep that shit to yoself

The difference is that between calibrated tools and and a bit of metal stuck under the skin.

Metal detectors at airports/clubs do go off when I go through them, I'm not OP but:
I have pins and plates from a spiral fracture in my right radius (forearm).
No trouble to get through once I show the massive scar that looks like I tried to an hero the proper way.

until someone holds a neodymium magnet to your hand and there is suddenly a hole in your finger.

You're literally giving yourself a sixth sense.

I implanted a tiny one in my right index finger in 2011 at home. It was simple and not /that/ painful. Getting my nipples done was worse. It felt cold when I got an MRI, like I was touching ice.

Sensing magnetic fields and current is debateable on usefulness but it's neat.

Bullets are lead and lead isn't magnetic. So there was nothing to worry about

It can make you feel magnetic field

But I already have a sixth sense.

ur ded btw lol

How'd you do it on your own? I'm genuinely curious.

I'm pretty sure this bait is only effective on /k/, user-kun.

You want step by step or just how I got materials?

this sounds pretty cool. not heard of this before.

Worded that backwards. But anyway, ordered a 5mm magnet with a casing over it for implant. (Google)

Had access to scalpels and an autoclave through my job.

Cleaned the area, alcohol everywhere
Cleaned me
Made a small cut (hard since I'm not lefty) and shoved the cube in until I met resistance from bone while cursing various gods
Superglue sutures and about 8 months for the healing pain to fully stop.

It has since migrated cloaer to the surface and has either lost power or I'm less aware of it.

magnets, how do they work?

ok good luck with life cuck

...

Is that so Mom can tell when you leave the house?

We need a really good famine to bring people back down to fucking reality.

Magnets? In your body?
What the fuck is wrong with you?

not him but I think it'd be cool to get one because you'd be able to feel strong magnetic and electric fields, which would be a pretty cool extra sense. Though an MRI might not be fun

Suggestion: Don't.

Seems like that shit would move. Also, have fun wrecking your electronics.

I've had an implant for about 2 years now. It's never really been an inconvenience and girls love it. Good for carpentry (what I do) I'm always picking up screws and such. Just don't use it AT ALL for the first 2 weeks at least.

with that spelling you need to go to school

Where are you getting this done?

Bump

oh god it's visible please post more pics it looks like it will burst out haha also can you like lift heavy objects using that finger still? I feel like it would hurt if you pressed on it

Wouldn't that damage your phone or your keyboard when you type?

if you go to an MRI you will never be tested positive for drugs, so if doctors ask if you have any sort of implants say no.

thank me later

If pressures applied to the right spot it does hurt you just learn to not hold things on that spot without thinking about it

that's terrible cut it out literally

The benefits far outweigh the very slight inconvenience

good luck getting an MRI.

Ha! The magnets would rip themselves out of his fingers. Great success!

>Get magnets that can lift at least 10 pounds inserted in each finger tip
>go to the gym, start lifting
>bitches watching as your swinging around a 300 pound barbell
>pussy magnet

Steve Haworth the guy who essentially invented this tested it multiple times with 2 implants in an MRI and they weren't ripped out

>10 pounds each fingertip
>300 pound barbell
Come on nigga math isn't that hard

Gym should be fine after a couple weeks, just don't get it right under the pad of your finger if you lift. It's possible to break the magnet if you're putting lots of weight directly on it, getting it implanted off to the side is probably enough.

it's been five years and maybe two dozen flights, haven't set off any metal detectors yet. the amount of metal is less than the volume of a filing, after all.

also using a grinder without gloves gives you the ol' iron caterpillar

Wow. I normally have a two step process to check that.
1. Am i awake, if yes PC=on.
Or
2. Look to see if it has lights on it. If yes PC=on.
2b listen for it. If you can hear it, it's on.

That waving finger trick is totally worth all the inconvenience to avoid having to look or listen for it.

Is it bad that I want this just to sense magnetic fields? It just sounds so neat

it's amazing to be just... more aware of all the unseen machinery around you. walking by a transformer substation or turning on a stove for the first time is like JESUS FUCK WHAT IS THAT.

Dude, just check cody's lab. It seems awesome, it's like getting one more sense where you can sense any magnetic stuff.

youtube.com/watch?v=x2cNmtO3YXw

Pls stop I am reckless and retarded enough to hit ebay up and give myself septicaemia

have fun not using any electronics ever again

get a body mod artist to do it, they'll have steadier hands and proper equipment. wasn't cheap ($175 syrup dollars) but his incision and stitching was way better than I could have managed.

no you will not gain any extra sensory abilities, you will just have a retarded magnet in your finger.

nerves dont reproduce dumbass

Is your finger numbed when implanting it?

I know a couple of piercers/body mod artists actually. Thanks mang. Can't wait to be a shit tier Magneto

Apparently not

no I think what happens is scar tissue encapsulates the magnet and kind of bonds it to the nerves nearby. the sensations from mine definitely got stronger after it healed.

You have muscles u dumbass.

depends on the guy doing it. mine wasn't but I've heard of other dudes who use like novocaine or someshit, it's just a little dodgy since they're not exactly anaesthesiologists.

But if those muscles cant swing around 300 pounds than a bunch of implants in your fingers isn't going to help. Youd just get stuck to the bar.

I think someone misunderstood the saying "chick magnet"

It's cool and all, a friend wants to get one on his wrists but...what's the point?

You know what magnets do to computers, right?

Cody's lab on YT implanted himself a magnet in his finger at home, has a video about it, you should watch it, also OP did you do this kind of thread before?

That sounds cool af. Infamous irl when?

that's not how magnets work.

sincerely, a physicist.

that is how magnets work

sincerely, not a complete retard

lol do you store your files on floppy disks or something?
you'd need a fuckhuge magnet to mess up a hard drive.

mmmh should i trust a physicist or a mildly retarded user

what, so throwing a magnet under a few layers of skin somehow binds with neurons, allowing you to 'sense' fields? are you fucking kidding me. yeah, all you'll be able to do is point at the refrigerator and go, "yep, it's definitely made out of a metal that is either ferromagnetic or paramagnetic. yessir."

i hope it gets infected and falls off you twat

magnets get attracted to each other. Therefore the magnet will apply a pressure on the inside of your finger, and you will be able to feel whether there is a magnetic field present. it's not difficult to understand.
