Damn you are really about the pity party music. The only album I would describe as even slightly happy in this chart is Low End Theory. Cheer the fuck up kid.

spring break is over :c no more binge watching sitcoms and jerking it all day

alex g - trick

Pls r8

here

Yeah, I've just never been that happy of a person.

madvillain is ok, maybe you'd like to explore newer hip hop

>MBDTF

Man, I feel like I'm missing something with all the praise this gets. I'm a fan of Kanye but I just cannot get myself to even remotely enjoy this no matter how hard I try.

Overall I like your chart though, 8/10

Mostly just recently, with a few old ones

no one rates, I mean, do I just have garbage in my cchart or is it outdated? whats the big idea

I didn't rate because I haven't listened to most of the stuff on your chart. And some of the stuff that I have I'm simply not a fan of. (Deftones, Gorillaz, Grateful Dead)

don't bother concerning yourself with stupid shit like that dude

>tfw you never get to rec music in genres you like because Sup Forums is full of neo gentlemen
feels bad man
Oak Pantheon - In Pieces
Anthrax - Spreading the Disease

youtube.com/watch?v=9jFixq0Df50

Witthüser & Westrupp - Trips Und Träume

...

The Boats of the Glen Carrig? Their worst imo, but still an 8/10. They're drifting way too far into post-rock for me, I'm kinda nervous about their next one. Also nice chart.

yeah i can definitely see the whole post-rock thing with glen carrig, i enjoyed it a lot although i don't see myself coming back to it much

i guess but i really dont care

Joy Division
Elliott Smith

the move
soft machine
faith healers - lido
to rococo rot
jim carroll
matthew sweet

The Body/Thou - You Whom I've Always hated. I'm not really into that stuff but DAMN it was heavy and someone else raved about it.
I'm sure there's something that can take Nevermind's place in Second-tier classics. Maybe Tad or the Melvins.
That Herbie Hancock is pretty good, thank
Check out Maggot Brain if you haven't already.

Someone help me on my quest to fill the Top 4, please. I just didn't know 4 albums that resonated through my bones and where completely "me"

...

I am not very diverse in my music spread. I really want to get into more things. I try to listen to music as often as I can and I've found tonnes of stuff on my own that I've really liked, but I still have stuff from my highschool years following me around.

Recommendations, please?

you didnt rate anyone else
+the sophtware slump

i like these charts

MCR? Well if you like that kinda stuff "The Black Parade is Dead" live album was a pretty good release from them. Not that patrician, but it's kinda fun

It's exactly the kind of stuff I want to avoid.

And don't worry, I've heard everything put out by Mr. Way. As time went on, it got worse and worse.

If you like the Sabbath sound, I think the subsequent Stoner/Doom bands did it better. Sleep's Holy Mountain is a pretty good example of "Sabbath" taken further.

gotta respond to people who haven't had any recs yet. Poor people

+ Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, Elliott Smith, Death Grips

- Bob Dylan

+ Velvet underground, codeine, and that cold cold circle =3

valium aggelein - dweller on the threshold

Rate :)

Good choice of Bowie albums, I predict you've spent around 1.5 years on Sup Forums, seem to be beginning to develop some personal taste aside from the Sup Forumscore (though don't take that the wrong way, Sup Forumscore is common on here for good reason, like what you like when it comes down to it). I'm kinda surprised to see Mount Eerie's new release on here, its good don't get me wrong, though I wouldn't say its enjoyable at all - more of an experience than something you listen to day-to-day, ya' know? To each his own nonetheless.

Know way more than me.

The top ten barring WYWH is essentially my backlog. I take it you're a big fan of Shoegaze, may have used the chart. Have you tried Lilys - In the Presence of Nothing, its one very snowy shoegaze album.

Try branching out a bit from hip-hop, give Autechre a whirl, if you like Cosmogramma you should be able to get into it. If you want something closer to hip-hop try Mezzanine by Massive Attack.

Would pet into submission, I've been there before. Nice to see the Unicorns getting some recognition, what a good album that is, I predict first year of Sup Forums, definitely watches Jojo. Try the following;
>King Crimson (use sharethreads to download the albums, ITCOCK is a must if you like Yes).
>Steely Dan (Discography, they're all great albums).
>Pink Floyd (Discography, overrated as sin imo but you might as well, their first two albums and Animals are great to be fair).
>Japandroids - Post-nothing (just because you like Arctic Monkeys and the Strokes).
>DFA1979 - Two short albums and you'd really like them.
Sorry for reccing tons of stuff, I don't really know what'd suit you best, if you want a couple short albums that are really fun go with DFA1979 though, its good stuff.

planning for burial - leaving
true widow - s/t
pygmy lush - mount hope
lilys - in the presence of nothing

lowercase - the going away present

+++swirlies.
Underwater - tamagotoji

you should check out the new magnetic fields record if you haven't

Mazzy Star - She Hangs Brightly

forgot chart!!

You're welcome, hope you enjoy them, sorry for how long the list is.

I really need to catch up on 2017. Didn't realize the Slowdive link was genuine, how is it?

Not as good as their older stuff and has some weird mixing but it's still pretty darn good. t b h the two singles they released are the worst of the bunch.

Check out Haken, either Visions or Aquarius are both awesome albums

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden, Laughing Stock
Also check out Stereolab

toe - The Book About My Idle Plot On A Vague Anxiety
Naked Acid - Valet

either you guys got the link to slowdive?

77 Live

Shabazz Palaces - Black Up

youtube.com/watch?v=67cx9M2c51M

I'm guessing you've been on Sup Forums for around 6 months, probably is somewhat popular and follows meme pages on Facebook. By any chance did you discover Buena Vista Social Club from YouTube's recommended videos?

I know a handful of people with similar taste (minus Slint). Good stuff though, need to get 'round to Bladee. Have you tried Shabazz Palaces?

you're right with the amount of time i've spent on Sup Forums but i'm not popular and have never used facebook, I discovered buena vista social club from my dad. I would recommend bladee its pretty trashy but still good.

youtube.com/watch?v=rNSUl5dBQXU

Big KRIT - Return of 4eva
Normally wouldn't rec this but Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On.

jesus so much shit taste in one thread

There's no good charts in this thread worth downloading stuff off of.

>shit taste
>posts trout in top 10

hasn't changed since you posted yours.

you're not allowed to say that if you post a chart of assorted Sup Forumscore

this coming from the retard who has damn as his top album lol

this is awesome

samefag

I'm gonna be honest. You say that but your chart is filled with some of the worst shit I've seen, and the stuff I like that's on there (there's quite a few) is not enough to break it

why is it that the people calling other chats shit happen to have the shittest taste on here?

it's not in a specific order, dumbass.

i'm also not the one who came in claiming to be superior than everyone else.

also what's your top for this year then? let's have an actual discussion rather than shitpost this thread up

h8 and r8 me

i feel bad for unironically enjoying crywank cuz someone i knew in highschool would always clown on them but james music is just so comfy. l ilisten to tomorrow is nearly yesterday a lot at the gym
i just like how stripped down the music is. it just some dude being sad over three fokken chords and i've heard nothing else like it and the lyrics are pretty robot-y but i mean that's just how it do

curtis mayfield is good
bobby hutcherson is good
you listen to damn? yet?
early stevie wonder is good

i got no friends and i'm a fat bloke

Don't take it personally but that is by far the most stereo-typically hipster chart I've seen on this board, at the end of the day though you like what you like and many of those albums are very enjoyable. Alvvays is also great, no idea why they never released another album, in lieu of that try the Autocollants youtube.com/watch?v=sjl9Ki5Nutc

could you post the name of the 4th one?
Actually if you displayed all the names that'd be great.I don't know many of these but I like all the ones i've heard

very mu/reddit core so it seems like you're still exploring. I would just go decade by decade in genre and try to go past surface level.

That being said:
Mazzy Star - She Hangs Brightly (already rec'd this above)
Bill Evans - Sunday at the Village Vanguard
Rocketboys - 10000 Ghosts
Drop Nineteens - Delaware

...

kinda been wanting to get into metal recently. all ive heard is sunbather and bongripper bongripper is nice sunbather was boring help me out friends

john galm - sky of no stars

isaiah rashad - pieces of a kid

bright eyes - fevers and mirrors

the dismemberment plan - emergency & I

...

Ah, its not often one sees a chart heavily vested in electronic music, this is a quite an interested chart regardless of how 1.5 year of Sup Forums it is. Try Ride (just to finish off the trinity of Loveless and Souvlaki) and Massive Attack for sure, you would love them.
youtube.com/watch?v=CoWPL28Z9-E

how does this chart make you feel truly?

Nostalgic middleschoolcore

bump

Team Sleep - Team Sleep
Sorry, I've got nothing.
Pinback - Blue Screen Life and Offcell EP
Children of the Sun - Dandelions
Why no Beach Music or Race? Those are Alex G's best I think.
Kauffman and Caboor - Songs From Suicide Bridge
Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway
Var - Nobody Dances Quite Like my Brothers
Also Kauffman and Caboor.

These are my most listened to records of the past week. Recs please, I don't care if I've heard them before.
