Hi Sup Forums

Hi Sup Forums,
I've been looking into getting a new smartphone. I've done a little bit of research and was looking for a second opinion.
Which phone do you think i should get? Money Isn't really a problem but i'd rather not get something stupidly expensive. So what do you guy think is the best phone to get in 2017, for the average consumer.

samsung galaxy s7 (non edge)
fuck apple

S7 edge
OnePlus 3T

I was thinking the same. although whats the problem with the samsung s7 edge/benifit of having the samsung s7 edge?

Cons: some people don't like edge, 5.5" vs 5.2"
Pros: 5.5" vs 5.2", bigger battery

I usually hold my S7 by the edges (comfortable and I'm used to it).
I used my friend's S7 Edge and kept fucking things up because I held the phone by the edges.

Huawei Mate 8

I like to hold my phones by the edges too guess i'll get the samsung galaxy (normal non-edged.)

Sony experia z+

Don't be cuck and get Samsung. People love making fun of Apple, then quickly running off to suck Samsung's greedy dick.

Get the latest OnePlus or the latest LG (forgot what they're up to, to be frank). Huawei isn't a bad choice either, and the iPhone 7/7 Plus is also great if you want to buy a premium-priced handset and be in the iOS ecosystem instead of the Android ecosystem.

I highly recommend not limiting yourself just to Android unless that is what you decide you want. But if you're still undecided, don't let the retards give you tunnel vision. It's worth considering both options.

This thing is more expensive, and for what a longer battery life?
This looks like the I'm on a budget phone.

I hold my s7 edge by the edges and it's fine. Got small hands too

checked
Nice choice.
You won't need the Edge anyways, since you'll have plenty of your own.

The reason i was favoring the S7 over the Iphone 7 is because of the price. not to say I can't afford the Iphone 7, but its more expensive for not much more about the phone.

Samsung is absolute fucking garbage. You can't even watch porn without getting a few viruses on your phone. It's also really fucking slow.

I don't watch porn on my phone. how slow is slow? slow to normal people, or slow to people that expect only the fastest tech available?

It's not slow.

Tho I myself use s7 edge, which by the way is a great phone. I would recommend get the Google pixel. The only con is no expandable memory. (What was google thinking)

And all those people saying edge is difficult to hold are either 12 years old or are midgets 'coz they musty have really small hands. In fact from my experience I can tell you that the edge actually makes it easier to hold compared to any phone pic similar screen size.

Moto g play, $129.00 unlocked brand new, no bloat ware. Android 6.0.1 fully upgradable to nougat when available. Best bang for the buck, unless you have to have the new shit on the market.

That's fine, but the ecosystem is different. Despite what people say, it's easy to get locked into one once you've bought into one of them.

Therefore, I recommend taking your time to weigh up the pros and cons of both.

Do remember that Apple products tend to be more expensive because they're a "premium" product with a brand name. I know people love to make fun of that, but if they didn't sell millions of units, they wouldn't be overpriced.

It's like buying a Rolex. Except a lot cheaper. But the point is, you don't need to buy a Rolex to have a working watch. But do you want a Rolex, or do you want a regular watch?

One thing to consider is that iOS is usually more consistently reliable because the amount of hardware configurations are minimal, though if software (especially the OS) reliability is something that is important to you, you may want to look into Google's Pixel phone because it uses stock Android. It's quite expensive compared to other Android phones though - almost the price of the iPhone 7, for about the same amount of power.

If you get a 128GB model of the iPhone 7 or Google Pixel, expandable storage is a moot point (unless you're a data whore like I am, but most people are not, even when they pretend they are with the age-old "muh expandable storage" arguments).

I also recommend going to a local retailer who has demo units and trying them all out. Take your time just playing around with each device - heck, spend an hour in the store if you need to - and see which one you prefer.

>recommending an old OS that's already outdated and will cause compatibility issues sooner rather than later
Ah, the naivety of some of you Android owners astounds me. If you're buying a new device, it should be NEW. Otherwise, what's the point? Even a year is "old" by technology standards.

sony xz

i have a sony-ericsson j110i and can recommend it.

>s7 circle jerk detected
Don't be a cuck and get a Google Pixel. You know how iphone people say they use it "because it just works"? Well that's what the Pixel is. Plus you get Android updates first

Agreed. But again, I recommend considering both options of Android and iOS. Just... just don't buy a Samsung device. They're okay, but you can do so much better. I mean, Apple's no saint, but they're not Samsung, at least.

Not to mention it has arguably the best camera on a smartphone

IPhone != premium. The only people that cal iPhone premium are Apple fanboys. Apple is really good good at releasing shit tier products in shiny packaging and themselves then calling in premium.

Lg v20

Sony Z5 Premium

I had an S6 and I absolutely loved all the proprietary features Samsung had like Samsung Pay and the Gear VR but going from an S6 to a Pixel was an eye opener to how shitty TouchWiz and carrier bloatware is

Get a Google Pixel XL, or if you're a poorfag, get a Nexus 6P.

Slow that it lags like a bitch and makes using the device impossible.

Took a more in depth look at the google pixel. its more expensive, not water proof, and has worse resolution than Samsung S7. The assistant/ voice commands look better though, along with the better position of the finger scanner. its definatly worth considering, any more first hand experience comments about it would be appreciated.

Google Pixel XL one of the best phones, but in relation to price it's the worst.
OnePlus 3T is almost as good as Pixel XL, but half the price

Pixel.

Don't even bother with anything else.

It's an iphone without the propriety bull shit and 30% Apple premium.

this

So the pixel is overpriced is what your saying, care to expand on what makes it overpriced?

The Pixel XL has a QHD, the Pixel has a HD screen. I have the Pixel and in everyday use I don't notice a difference. I will say when I'm looking at photos I took it would be nice to have the higher resolution screen. The fingerprint scanner is so ergonomic and quick, the phone is usually unlocked by the time I pull it out of my pocket. The Google Assistant is one of my favorite features. It's pretty natural to talk to and is a lot more useful than Siri

Forgot to mention, the camera on the Pixel blows the camera on the s7 out of the water

yeah im not big on selfies but its nice to know I would have a nice camera. I think i'll get a pixel, unless another user has something eye opening to say about it. it is rather pricey though but better is better.

I watch porn on Samsung for years now. Never got a virus. You are fucking retarded

Droid turbo 2 is god tier

It isn't overpriced. Same price as its competitors. Just a lot of people butt hurt that it isn't the price of a Nexus. But it's way better than a Nexus. If you have flagship money, the Pixel is better than the others.

Galaxy S8 coming in April

kinda looks like shit tbh.
I have no phone right now, and I haven't for the past month and a half, the time is now.
