but I still ain't givin recs

thats alright

Can't really rec but

>Spore OST

I like that game but... what about the soundtrack is good? Enough that it edges out albums.

Surprised to see no Hendrix on that chart senpai, though it's hardly an obscure rec it seems like you would be into it.

Love that Philip Glass appearance in South Park, I'd assume you have done already but f not then try;
>Joni Mitchell - Blue.

Ah, the guy who really likes Batfinks, what actually are they anyway?

Try Japandroids - Post-nothing, its nothing amazing though if you want something in the vain of Arctic Monkeys with a louder dynamic then you've got it.

You can't just thrust albums on her and expect her to listen to them and/or enjoy them, that's just being plain stupid. People like what they like and even if you have the greatest taste in the world you can't expect people to crowd around and listen to every album you recommend, especially in real life. Is she straight up asking for recs? If so then that is a different case, though with the same answer -lurk more!

Try Whirlpool by Chapterhouse, if you like Nowhere and want something more madchester influenced then it should be right up your alley.

Have you tried Cavern of Anti-Matter? I seem to believe that it is made up of Sterolab members, and Void Beats/ Invocation Trex is a great album. That being said I really need to try Stereolab myself.

Remi Drive is the shit. Try Labor & Lust by the Littlest Vikings - its a 30~ minute math rock album that is fun as fuck to listen to, it might seem a bit of an odd rec though believe me its great.

Forgive all the typos, I'm pretty rough atm.

>Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On
Was going to listen to that today, I'll do it now.
Other rec looks interesting.
>Fiery Furnaces
Already enjoy them, Benton Harbor Blues is a GOAT song.
>Ah, the guy who really likes Batfinks, what actually are they anyway?
You shouldn't have asked.
Single guy from Manchester, died at the end of 2016. Makes all sorts of Glitch Pop, Breakcore, Lo-Fi?? and Zolo inspired stuff (I can't genre him very well). otherwise sporkcore

Just because I'm really curious (and have no idea what on Earth sporkcore is), I'm going to give Towards the Pipet a few plays later on.

sporkcore is a meme people give to "lol randumb" music, means nothing. Towards the Pipet is a breakcore EP of songs from 2004, enjoy.

Thanks for the link mate.

I'm really nostalgic about it and big parts of it are legitimately fantastic ambient/electronic

Oren Ambarchi is so fucking good
listen to Biosphere - Substrata

listen to Digable Planets

I'm guessing you've heard it but it's not your chart, have you listened to The Pop Group - Y?

Nope, I've heard a lot of great things about it nonetheless, I suppose I'll try it once I've given the rest of ATDI's discography a fair few listens, which shouldn't take too long. Need to try that Streets album, listened to Original Pirate Material and loved it, kinda shyed away from AGDCFF, guess I'm just waiting for the right moment, ya' know?

Since you like Metal Box you'll probably like Y. It can take a couple listens but it's worth it

Yeah! I'm actually not that big on Original Pirate Material, it's good but not really my thing, AGDCFF though has probably one of the best stories I've ever heard in an album, with very relatable, sad, and still humurous lyrics. There are some low points but the best tracks compensate for it by far

ha ha I'm back
built to spill - keep it like a secret
exuma
hi ricebeans
earl sweatshirt - solace
drone me or something

youtube.com/watch?v=N-GFJ7FGEok

Gonna try Y and Mass Murder (any easier way to refer to it?) tomorrow. Didn't realize that they tried to make a comeback, did it go well like Mission of Burma? Or it is like the Pixies where it may as well be ignored.

Often referred to as "How Much Longer".
Citizen Zombie could be worth listening to, some ok tracks and it's fun to see how they sound know, but nothing special.
Honeymoon On Mars is just..... bad.

Just some stuff I've listened to/enjoyed lately

Mount Eerie-Wind's Poem; Ocean Roar

Yeah I love The Mars Volta, I've got two of their albums up there. Any bands like At the Drive In you recommend?

You'd probably like Fugazi maybe Antmasque. I would really check out White Reaper though, i think you'd like em.

Thank you for all the recs!!! You should try Corima - Amaterasu

>Bavarian Screemo
Why the fuck does this exist?

Where is the Bavarian Screemo?

If you like Marilyn Manson, definitely try KMFDM

Good taste. You would probably enjoy a lot of what's on my chart.

bump-it

What can you guys gather from this? Any recommendations?

i gather youre lazy
i recommend you exercise

Don't know if you've ever listened to more contemporary Linkin Park, but definitely check out A Thousand Suns and Living Things

The lead singer of Porcupine Tree has a good body of solo work you may enjoy

In classic metal, definitely give Motörhead and Manowar a try

Could I get any recommendations? Some 'electronic'-ish stuff would be appreciated.

You should listen to Isn't Anything if you haven't yet

The Black Queen's Fever Daydream is a good fully electronic album, but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for. Another option is Minus The Bear, they've got a pretty good mix of electronic and instrumental sound.

should have made it more clear that The Black Queen is the band, and Fever Daydream is the album

electronic is not a genre be more specific you fucking flower power fuck

Hey while you're here and pissed, got any good scolding/recs for
?

That's why I put in in 'quotation marks', I like the synth sounds on both MBV albums and the way they're used, but it isn't really electronic music, was there something like that you could point me too?

I know I'm a plebe.
"Electronic-ish"

How non-specific. Listen to Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and MHTRTC. Listen to In Her Gentle Jaws and Velocity : Design : Comfort. That's some nice glitch inspired shoegaze.

bump

no fuck off and dont post again

Broadcast - work and non work
The breathing effect

tiger lily - vela

I always love seeing your chart

ninth paradise - s/t

candy claws

broadcast

madlib - shades of blue

luminous orange - drop you vivid colors

I'm sure you could go through my chart and find something you love. Have a lot of albums in common

whereere the fuck is the pram on this chart

I'm too lazy to update it, because the site that has this format doesn't use accounts. So I'd have to make it all over again.

But yeah, Pram, more shoegaze, deep house, dub techno, and Broadcast - work and non work should all be there.
