Ghost World

Ghost World sucks there arent even any ghosts in it

I didn't expect A Hard Day's Night to be as good as it actually is. Help! was a bit of a letdown after that.

The Devil and Daniel Johnston.
I'm not too fond of Daniel's music, but his story is tragic and uplifting at the same time.

>okay let's meet this volatile egomaniac musician whose entire career is based on ripping off the Rolling Stones and Spacemen 3
>"listen dude, i've composed over 4000 songs and put out 50 albums this year, so fuck off okay. also i take heroin everyday, was obviously neglected as a child, and fired half of my band yesterday night because my stoner friend who plays the tambourine was being silly on stage lol i'm so rock n'roll"
>okay now let's meet his gay rival friends, they dissed him on a track that got played on MTV lol
>"dude, life is so cool, i mean, we do coke in LA clubs during the weekends, this is so fun ! i love partying ! i love people ! also Anton, you're a loser lol ! love you Anton !"
I really like the BJM and ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down, but this documentary was annoying imo.

Almost Famous

Yeah the book's great. I can't even remember much but it was definitely a fun read since I found it not long after I had my first breakup.

Yellow submarine is pretty good too, a nice silly cartoon

This is great but it's unfortunate how they portrayed Dave van Ronk as such a piece of shit through Llewyn Davis

I actually really like Help!, even though it's clearly inferior. I like the more surreal humour compared to AHDN, and the soundtrack is very debatably better.

...

They always made it pretty clear he wasn't supposed to represent Dave Van Ronk. They just used him for the songs/aesthetic kind of basis for Llewyn.

I agree

This one was done so terribly, in a classic desperate, nohappyend ''Coen'' style, pretty much like the ''No country...'', but just worse, people who've been close to Davis admitted that the entire movie has nothing to do with the real character, everything was just intentionally made to feel disguisted for the whole 2 hours.

''Due Date'' has an amazing sountrack list, very diverse and very long one.

God I fucking hated the characters.
