Maybe u should consider building up ur savings account.. work on taking in more money than you spend.... having 3-4 months rent in there at all times will prevent stress about the bills.....

While I'm at, saving for retirement is really important especially at a young age, or else you might end up fucked when you're older, safest real investment at this age is 401k I believe, but I'm no expert stock broker. I just think a 401k is much easier to work with than creating a diversified stock portfolio. But I'm not an expert. Also, brand name clothes/fijiwater/hype shit like that is a total waste of money imo. Not to mention brand new cars, which lose value as soon as they're driven off the lot. Real estate is much safer investment I'd say than vehicles, and an actual way to pass money down through generations and build wealth across time. So many landlords out there making a killing.

I don't look at life that way at all, but owning a home is just simply smart in the long run... if you're someone who's say into engineering not for the money but actually passionate about the subject, it's a great way to save money, owning a home is much less expensive than renting one. Everyone would be better off if every family owned a home/land. I know it's not for everyone, but from a financial standpoint it's the opposite of a scramble for the most money, it takes money away from super wealthy landlords. I believe in charity and stuff like that, but honestly that sort of thing can be disruptive. I would imagine it'd be smarter to hold onto money or put it into the market if you don't know what to do with it, you could give it to some random black guy in Detroit but then he might just buy a bunch of coke and a new car and hoes and self destruct.

College isn't for everyone though, certifications and careers/jobs are a large staple and highly viable route as well.

As someone that wants to go into the dark arts of genetic engineering as of late, I'm doing in part for the money in part because I think it's cool.. But I'm no rush

I may decide to go back for music instead or who knows... but yeah, at least I can feel confident that there's potential within me to have a good future and be able to help support a family etc in the future. Right now I'm focused on getting an A+ comp tia cert then maybe a Security + cert, I could walk away with like 40k a year with those alone. But my dad is in the computer science industry so he showed me how getting a job in that works really, helped me with creating a resume/showed my dice/indeed.com
