why does chief wahoo seem like a comforting friend? he's been there since I was little, but he's just a cartoon.
is there a place that can take the Asshole of the World title from my hometown? >Lima, OH >I will kill myself before I move back there

my hometown is approximately equidistant to South Bend as it is to OSU. and lately OSU's program is scummy and money-soaked and generally unsavory (not to mention choke city) so I prefer Notre Dame now >even though as a kid Notre Dame was in a very dark time so I was bored to fucking death, but OSU is always competitive (well I don't give a fuck about pro handegg and I have preferred Fußball for 6 years now anyways so I'm sure as shit gonna remember it because I wear the shit out of my Indians gear) can you read, motherfucker? they play very rarely, they're not in the same conference, except in hockey (that shit used to be beautiful- I went to BGSU and all three teams were in the same conference). Notre Dame's big rivals are Purdue, Michigan, and USC. Most Catholics in Ohio are ND fans to some extent.

I'm really quite shocked no one's flaming me for being a Celtics fan. I wasn't interested in hockey until my uncle shoved the busjackets down my throat when the franchise started up. they really sucked for a long time, too.

>Eintracht >suffering could be worse, could be Offenbach
Ryan Jones
kek Offenbach is a cesspool >or so I've been told, my mother-in-law lives in Langen, but lived in Frankfurt for years. we're actually doing quite decent this season, and considering the suffering that was the relegation playoff, I feel okay about this.
James Hall
>have a stadium that can hold 25k people >play in the 4th league alongside teams like FK 03 Pirmasens and SC Teutonia Watzenborn-Steinberg >declare bankruptcy every other month it's bad, like BAD

>liking the Celtics over the Cavs
you chose this fate
Austin Collins
other than the fact that it's actually a Traditionsverein, why should I care? I know... when I was a kid, the Cavs were an unentertaining basement-dwelling team with a terrible color scheme.
The reasons I chose Boston are as follows: 1) the Cavs sucked ass, they had always sucked ass, there was nothing interesting about the team, and nobody, literally nobody in my family liked them. 2) I was spoon-fed Hoosier glory tales of Bird's quasi-hometown hero, rags-to-riches midwest story, like Rudy meets Babe Ruth, I shit you not, and I held him up as a sort of role model (even though I could never be much of anything like him) 3) the legend goes that after Bird led the Sycamores to their one and only shot at glory, his hopes and dreams were shot down by a black man who represented the evil MSU Spartans, who had before and would later have plenty of shots at the sweet sixteen. (I'm pretty sure this is one of the few instances my parents were clearly racist: they went on and on about how Bird was the greatest white guy to ever play the game) 4) Bird would go on to play in Boston, and continue this epic struggle against the man named Magic, and stand tall against the big bad Lakers, who had two of the biggest baddest negros in basketball: Magic, and that muslim (note: my parents largely innocuous racism and devout Catholicism, and the resulting very low opinion of Johnson's philandering [and KAJ's religious beliefs] most likely rubbed off on me in the simple and blind way that only ignorant prejudice can, which is pretty ironic considering when I read Bird's biography in 8th grade I was crushed to learn that he was a failure as a husband and a family man) 5) as some kids do, I also chose the Celtics for dumb aesthetic reasons. The Cavs color scheme, that baby blue and orange was (and I think we can all agree on this) one of the worst ever. My dumb Irish-Catholic ass saw a team that boasted a classic kelly green and Irish theme...
Sebastian Evans
much like Notre Dame, and combine with that the fact that I had family members who were actually old enough to enjoy 80s basketball and be proper Celtics fans in that age, and there you have it. 2007-2008 was fun. Senior year of high school coinciding with a championship comeback year for the Celtics? even Paul Pierce's number was almost the same as Bird's.

besides, let's not pretend The Decision™ was some fucking dark times for da Land. I was relieved I had neutral ground to stand on, because I was still angry about that for a few years.

Jackets are literally the only acceptable thing on that list.
Fuck you and fuck Cleveland
Thomas Ward
I'm not even from Cleveland, you jackass.
Isaac Martinez
I go to school at Notre Dame
All those home game losses don't matter because of the cocaine I snort and the belvedere and redbull pints I drink

>Since I really started giving a shit (about 9 years ago)
>Red Wings win 1 cup then are first round exits basically every year the last 7 seasons
>Pistons get swept, then end their 7 year playoff streak by missing the playoffs 6 years in a row before finally making it and getting swept last year
>Lions went 0-16 and compiled 4 wins over a 5 year stretch, made playoffs twice and choked
>Tigers had one of the greatest stretches in their history which resulted in playoff chokes and no titles
>Michigan football suffers one of, if not the worst stretch in its long history up until 2015. Even their basketball team choked away a championship in 2013
Literally no fun.
I remember seeing the Pistons win in 04 but I was 11 and really didn't care. Same with the Wings winning in 02. Even when they won in 08 I was only 15 so I wasn't super jacked.
>Tigers haven't won and probably won't in my lifetime >Lions will never win
I hate sports.

find something better to do with your life then. if it ceases to be entertainng, it no longer serves it's purpose.
Nathan Ross
It is entertaining. It just ends in misery.
Andrew Lee
Detroit pretty much is misery, man. not that my hometown or Cleveland are that much better.

>why am I such a masochist? >why do I root for teams that haven't won a Championship in a long time? Get on my level.
