a sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow movie

A bunch of sweaty men, shirtless and dripping all over each other. Confined in tight, tiiiight spaces, their chests heaving in the thick, sticky air.

Waiting for you to start the movie.

10/10 patrician goty Kino cinema

when i first saw this movie it was a weird double sided dvd copy i got form the local library. i accidentally put it on the part 2 side and just thought the movie started in media res

>17.7 knots
that's pretty slow

All humor/off-topic comments aside, an exceptionally well-done movie, the best submarine movie and one of the best WWII movies in general. It's a timeless classic, but be warned; if you select director's cut by mistake, prepare to wonder why your movie's playing for an extra couple of hours.

The monotony of naval existence illustrated in the most blunt way.
Prepare to be just as bored as the characters on the screen.

*yaaaaaaaaaawn*
*zzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

prepare to be rooting for nazis
also, great music

penis inspection

>prepare to be rooting for nazis

A treat.

A good experience, made me want to go kayaking.

good movie, bad ending

it was banned in america for this very reason

not my point

Das Boot is awesome
Hitler dindu nuffin

I have a friend who did this with Schindler's List.

Do people still take out movies from the library, or are we just old? I have the library to thank for having seen the Good the Bad and the Ugly, Ben Hur, and Apocalypse Now as a teenager.

Which cut are you watching?

Hopefully the 3.5 hour Director's Cut or the full-length 6 hour miniseries?

Anything less than 3.5 hours is disappointing.

It's one of the greatest movies of all time.

Forgot pic

a long way to Tipperary

>tfw they sunk that cargo and there was still people inside

ALAAAAAAAAAAAAARM

>Why weren't they rescued?!
>Where are their ships?!

>this moment
>the whole final part of the movie

truly great movie

if you guys like submarine movies Crimson Tide is actually really good. Hackman and Denzel at their prime

Great film, a true classic. Haven't watched in years because you have to commit the time to watch it properly - may watch again sometime in future though I hope.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!

Almost no focus on boots.

i really like the part where the cocky blonde guy gets hit with a washcloth cause he was being annyoing

A period phsycho-drama.

I can't hear. I think its more effective if people watch the entire movement before they feel bad about his one scene.

One of the greatest war movies of all time.

One of the best thrillers.

This was my teen years, too. I still get movies from the library from time to time. Going to the video section and browsing what movies you can discover next was comfy af.

>hurr durr Hitler was the bad guy

bullshit revisionist history

a comfy nap

did we watch the same movie

Zyklon B yourself immediately, edgelord.

Guten kino, meine Freunde.

How can i get this movie with German subtitles, my DVD only has them in English?

Try winning the war next time.

>the best submarine movie

>mfw

I assume he wasn't counting Down Periscope.

A film women will never understand

ortwin freyermuth

If you watch this movie and walk away thinking the main characters are "Nazis" you need to call your parents and tell them to ask the public North American high school you went to for a refund of their tax dollars.

Ride Of The Valkyries is for cunts.
