You want us to clone Yoda?

No, no, you fool, I want you to arrest the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic!

horrible scene. it had no fucking quips

What the fuck kind of Star Wars name is Cody. Is that so the shitty kids can also relate?

So why did Palpatine order Cody in particular to execute Order 66? Cody seems to just be a lowly commander in charge of tactical operations, wouldn't there be a higher ranking clone who he would relay the order to?

Unless this is just a snippet of what happens and Palpatine sends individually tailored orders to every single commander in the massive clone army. "Commander Tony, execute order 66"

Did they ever explain why some clons were capable of being commanders and not others? Was it just random? Did they have different training?

this lmao. and why the fuck is he issuing an order directly to this one guy? did he actually have to call up each clone sergeant that was close to a jedi and tell them what to do lmao

I would assume they're bred for it, like the commandos.

>I am Dess Enate!
What did he mean by this?

Wasn't it order 66?

The more I think about Episode III the worse it gets. On first viewing it seems like the best of the prequels, but with each repeat viewing you see more and more how shitty it is.

Real talk, Episode I is the best prequel. It's not GREAT but it was a pure look at Lucas' vision and it's actually pretty striking in parts. The other two prequels, after he'd received lots of criticism, are a muddled mess.

You know, Episode II REALLY glosses over the fact that the Jedi approved of using mass produced human soliders. Isn't that a really morally grey for the Jedi to do?

Well I guess they had no choice because they had no army and the clones were already made.

Are you this fucking ignorant?

Jesus. Are you kidding? It has Jar Jar Binks, and Jake Lloyd. It's a textbook example of flaws being greater than its positive traits.

Jar Jar really isn't all that bad.

If i remember correctly the Clone Wars series showed they had some implant that pre programmed them to do it and order 66 was the phrase that unlocked it, some of the clones managed to remove the implants and thus were unaffected

It was a political master stroke, because it meant the Republic would never agree to form an army out of drafts because clones could die in civilians' places.

The Jedi had no power to stop using the clones. The Republic adopted them as their official army and the Jedi had to work with what they had. They have no power to levy armies, that's all up to the Republic.

really? wow.

I agree, but the Jedi seemed like they would be appalled by the clone army.

It all comes down to things that should have been in the movie, instead of Anakins romance

There is no "Jedi" thing to do. The Jedi have no philosophy and no goal in mind other than working as hard as they can at doing nothing

Only a Sith does things

>So why did Palpatine order Cody in particular to execute Order 66?

Probably because he's the Clone Commander in charge of the Clone Army that Obi-Wan is attached too. Sheev probably ranks Yoda, Windu and Kanobi as the biggest threats to his new rule. He just killed Windu, leaving just Yoda and Obi-Wan. He probably contacted Commander Gree, Yoda's Clone Commander personally too, but chose to contact Cody first, to rub it in Anakins face.
