What made this the greatest comedy show ever?

What made this the greatest comedy show ever?

It's a show about nothing. Did the lack of plot or story arc give the writers freedom to make every show about something different and make it funny?

A lot of it was relatable. It catered to the typical 9-5 audience and gave them something to resonate with.

We all have a little bit of each character in us in some way. The show referencing itself was the peak of the show and made it comfy AF.

Lot's of dumb luck.

The writing and jokes.

Jewish meta-propagnada, media manipulation.

There was nothing better on tv at the time, and after that it's just been riding on gen-x nostalgia.

Oy vey who booked this Mohel?

Nostalgia has nothing to do with it. It still gets great ratings and is on all the time. It's timeless Simpsons-tier.

It's not realistic so it transcends all eras.

Comfy jew lives in the city.

>moron that drinks down fat neckbeard Sup Forums propaganda like it's water

literally die in the most painful way imaginable you boarding-wrecking dunning-kruger containment board cunt. like everyone on Sup Forums you're too fucking dumb to understand how dumb you are.

did this comedy show to try something different?

was Seinfeld innovative?

>this triggers the liberal redditor

>lack of plot or story arc

Nigga every episode had a standalone arc. Did you just mean over the course of a season?

It got better with every season and had literally no flaws.

Yes. Seinfeld is the only sitcom of the time not to have "serious" moments or episodes. No hugging and crying bullshit. It's all about the comedy and gags, which is why it's aged so much better than every other sitcom.

I honestly have no idea. Do you guys seriously laugh at this show in 2016 like it's still some cutting edge comedy when it's the most simple observation humor ever?

>Simpsons tier
Seinfeld isn't that bad

...

Is awful in later seasons. The early ones are still gold but later on, Peggy gets insufferable and Al can never catch a break (which has a lot to do with Steven leaving the show).

I hate people who haven't even seen it yet write things like "it's just observation humor". The Geroge-Jerry dialogue and their interaction with the world is what makes the series good. Kramer is the only character that has been done in other sitcoms time and time again as the "wacky" one but this is a rare case of the character actually being funny.

If you think Seinfeld is "observation humour", you may have just watched the stand-up part. You know there is an actual series after the first minute and half right?

You can tell everything you need to know about a person if they prefer Friends over Seinfeld.
