yup, I may consider investing in archive specialised HDD's to save mass amounts of data. Main reason why im getting archives is because Youtube keeps deleted "good" videos, but it should server me well in storing 4chin shit. Also, I don't trust clouds...

whats done is done, all of the memories from that golden era (not talking about Sup Forums, but the internet in general) are stored in my head. Its only going to get worse from now, so I might aswell horde some interesting parts of the internet on my soon-to-be home database.

My collection is split up over a few hundred folders, each folder containing an original meme and it's variants. There are folders for gets, epic greentexts, raids, national IRL shitstorms, times when Sup Forums changed (moot's annual old Sup Forums and christmas themes) etc
plus a whole fuckton of stuff i've not mentioned. this isn't even all of Sup Forums as mine only dates back to late 2007/early 2008

I lost my shit-ton of content along with my laptop that exploded from too many pr0n viruses a long time ago.
My friend started saving pictures in around 2006 and he introduced me in around 2007. We both stopped browsing daily back in around 2012 but we combined out folders and put it on an external harddrive for preservation purposes. I'll dump the folder someday but it won't be today. There's a ton of shit that I haven't seen posted here in ages. Pic somewhat related

Pretty much you download a program that continuously sends your folder to another computer. You don't have to upload anything. You just have to keep the program running.
