Could the EuroBasket champion even beat the worst NBA team in a 7 game series?

Could the EuroBasket champion even beat the worst NBA team in a 7 game series?

Depends on the year. I would take the Euroleague champion over the sixers of the last few years any day.

This

Fenerbahçe could probably make the playoffs in the east.

Obradovic is 10 times better than any coach in NBA, he'd figure something out.

>better than any coach in the NBA
If that were true, he'd have a job in the NBA. Regardless, this man disproves your argument.

Only way that could be possible would be that the games were played by european basketball rules. And then it would be a stretch.

Whats the difference between Euro-league and NBA rules?

Literally a poor man's version of Obra

The whole "le spurs passing basketball" he played and surprised every casual nba fan was created by Obra 20 years ago

They could, just like the MLS champion could theoretically beat the worst team in the Champions League.

But it would be a huge upset.

The Turk is exaggerating but right you fucking casual, learn something about basketball

>MLS champion could theoretically beat the worst team in the Champions League.
>But it would be a huge upset.
The MLS champion would probably beat teams like Apoel,Legia or Tottenham

I think that Real Madrid could beat some NBA teams. But most euro basket teams dont have the muscle to compete with the average NBA team

Umm, yes?

Do you actually have any reasoning to say why it couldn't happen?

>USA sends team missing all kinds of top-20 players to olympics
>wins gold easily

thats why

mainly defense. yuro rules let you play more organized defensively.

>just like the MLS champion could theoretically beat the worst team in the Champions League

They not only could, they probably would. There are plenty of shitty teams in the champions league.

Probably yes , eurobasketball isn't that bad.

They could make the playoffs in the east

Euroball has wider lanes to discourage players to set up close to the goal.
In Realball you can't stand around guarding an area, you have to guard your man. Euroball allows easymode defense which is only allowed up to college in America.
In Euroball you can swat a shot out of the air even after it's started descending, because they don't expect anyone to be able to jump that high.
Euroball lets you hold the ball and pass it around doing nothing for 30 seconds and not 24, yet another easymode rule.

There are some preseason games where the Euro teams beat NBA, but it's preseason, so it's not a big upset.

>Euroball lets you hold the ball and pass it around doing nothing for 30 seconds and not 24, yet another easymode rule.
Are you from the past?

Easily 2BH, oklahoma city thunder just played both Madrid and Barcelona last month and got defeated against both IIRC.

>defending easyball

By FIBA rules, some teams could be competitive.

With NBA rules, no.

Eurobasket was much better 4 or 5 years ago. 2009-2011 Barcelona could be aiming for a playoff spot playing FIBA rules
