Thanks. Most people have the choice between Spanish, German or French. But at my tiny school we only had French. Every language that isn't English is pretty useless, so French is as good a language as any to learn after English.

Understandable, but definitely with an accent. You seem to have problems with the soft "ch" as in "ich", but I think you know that. "st" in "Dünste", "ist" and "knistert" is not pronounced "scht", "zischt" is "tsischt", you pronounced it as a voiced s. The first "e" in "gehen" needs to be long, the "i" in "Tritte" is short. All in all, the vowels are mostly close to correct, but slightly off. I think you're getting there.
I'm not trying your tongue twister you pagan devil, Norwegian is unpronounceable for me. I'm learning it at uni though, i like it cause it sounds so weird

The long "e" is more closed. You pronounce "gehen" like "gähen". We actually prounounce "h" :^) The "i" in "Tritte" needs to be short and more open. "knistert" is not pronounced "knischtert". Your "au" doesn't really include the "u", for example, you pronounce "Strauche" more like "Strache". You can understand it, but there's definitely an accent.

By the kind of mistakes you made, I would guess you did not learn German for a longer time? (They're pretty obvious mistakes, hence my guess). In that case it's surprisingly good. Still heavily accented, but that should probably be no surprise.

In "st" and "sp" when in the beginning of syllables, it's "sch", otherwise not. Southwestern dialects (Swabian, Swiss German, Alsatian :^) ) always pronounce "st" and "sp" as "scht" and "schp".

The freely spoken part was perfect, the read-out part almost. The "e" in "stets" and the first "a" in "nachweisbar" need to be long, and there is no dark "l" in German ("Merkel", "Notfall"). The rest was pretty good. Did you learn German for a longer time?
