What's going on with Hop at the end, when he gets in the car with CIA?

What's going on with Hop at the end, when he gets in the car with CIA?
Probably the government telling him to shut up about everything
Also I agree 11/10 el is perfect
It looks like akira but with worse animation and much longer, sell me on this series Sup Forums.
he didn't get to bring friends
>What's going on with Hop at the end, when he gets in the car with CIA?
Taking him to be killed and have his body dumped in a shallow grave.
>my first spread meme
He more than just a "big city cop" in his former life.
...
watch it you stupid asshole
This.
I'm surprised they didn't just disappear him after he tried breaking in. Didn't really make sense that they returned him to his trailer.
Keep 'em coming, boys. These threads are the most fun I've had on this shit board in months.
It's like X-Files plus Goonies plus ET with a little Twin Peaks thrown in, scored by John Carpenter, with Steven Spielberg and Stephen King as executive producers.
Watch it, you ponce.
I think the best explanation I've heard for it so far is that they killed Benny because he just runs a small town diner and is oblivious to the greater things at work.
They didn't kill Hopper because they didn't know to what extent he had told everyone about what he knew and so they wanted to observe him.
He easily could have told some other officers at the station that he was going to go to the Hawkins lab, and that if he was found dead afterwards then his suspicions would be confirmed
>El hated working with the boys because they were immature on set
Stuck up high society bitch. First major role and she's already a diva.
>they killed Benny because he just runs a small town diner and is oblivious to the greater things at work.
That seems like it would be a reason not to kill him. Why didn't the lady just keep up the social services act and take El away?
How is Will so normal after days of monster tentacle rape
El would probably try to resist and he would see too much.
Because El knows her. And even if she didn't, she wouldn't allow herself to get captured anyway. They capped the diner guy because they didn't know if he was told anything important
Kids heal quickly. I once fell off my bike while going downhill in a forest. I was fine a few hours after that.
He only got raped towards the very end. Before that he was running and hiding the whole time.
He liked it.
Marathon stream time, come join lads Vaughnlive.tv/anon2167
He's throwing up slugs and having flashes to that weird world again and isn't telling anyone. He's nowhere near back to normal.
Will was changed fundamentally on a biological level by the Upside Down.
Expect him to manifest some kind of power next season similar to the monster's powers.
It's kinda normal considering what he went through. His bathroom breaks will be longer that's all.
That doesn't make any sense though, since they go public and the lab is investigated, even Brenner is arrested. It's said on the newspaper article about Will being found.
If she's 011, what happened to 001-010?
They didn't fly so good.
I was really hoping that there would be no connection between the seasons, new place, new stranger things. Leave some questions hanging like old 80's thrillers.
I now worry that they'll fuck it all up by returning to characters that have already had their story told.
Does anyone have the "stranger things is about transsexualism" copypasta that gets posted in every thread?
will rewatch again next winter for sure
Wheres the Original score for the show? All I cna find are the actual songs and theme songs
>even Brenner is arrested.
What?
Brenner got ate
And also, what newspaper?
I flicked through the last episode and didn't see anyone reading a newspaper
>TFW WATCHED LATE NIGHT
>TRIED TO SLEEP
>SUDDENLY HAVE A NIGHTMARE
>WAKE UP AND THE ROUTER LIGHTS WERE GOING CRAZY
>MFW I UNPLUGGED THAT SHIT
W.-WHAT'S IS 011?
I was hoping for that too. I honestly don't see why we'd need to follow up with any of these characters. El's fate is left ambiguous, but just about everything else is wrapped up.
It's not about transexualism.
It's about how society brainwashes females to look and act a certain way.
They became the alien creatures in the show.
is it true next season will be a completely different story?
No
Lonnie go home.
Flaws:
>Final episode had way to many flickering lights, but was done so the screen just went black instead of dark
>How did Will communicate through the lights
>How did the monster come through the wall/ceiling but leave no mark
>Why did they return Hopper but just kill the diner guy
Might have been the newspaper page on the wall during the police station christmas party scene.
>>How did Will communicate through the lights
The only explanation I can think of is when humans from the real world enter the Upside Down, they are able to light shit up for some reason around lights. The last episode shows it where Hop and Momfu walked throughout the house and the bulbs from the lights lit up. So, I assume that whatever is in the real world shows up in the Upside Down, i.e. the alphabet Momfu painted on the walls..
But there is a flaw to my theory as the bear trap wasn't there in the Upside Down... I don't know.
It's not about how society brainwashes females
It's about the AIDS crisis of the 80's
>>Final episode had way to many flickering lights, but was done so the screen just went black instead of dark
implying it wasn't tripping as fuck on my home hd projector
also, those scenes were El stand in the pitch black made her float on my wall
>>How did Will communicate through the lights
he just talked and manifested, no need to explain
>>How did the monster come through the wall/ceiling but leave no mark
different dimension
>>Why did they return Hopper but just kill the diner guy
too much noise, they wanted to spy on him to find El
>>Why did they return Hopper but just kill the diner guy
Hopper was the Chief, an important character. G-Men probably thought he might be useful and now they are using him and he's allowing it to protect the people of Hawkins.
>literally nothing was explained about the Upside- Down, and no one thought it was really fucking weird that there was an alternate reality devoid of everyone but monsters that had even the smallest minutiae from the real world
It's not about the AIDS crisis of the 80s
It's about Reagan's failed war on drugs
It's actually about Reagan's America and the Cold War.
It's not about Reagan's failed war on drugs
It's about the dissolution of the nuclear family
It's actually about how we can only experience aesthetic pleasure through nostalgia because late capitalism has put an end to the process of history.
Why Nancy with Steve
>TFW steve is probably going to take El's virginity too
>"s-sex what's that, friend?"
The strobe effect did get tiresome. It's understandable doing it in an 80s setting to cover awful special effects. The problem was that there was so much motion between the frames and it was borderline impossible to follow everything. Then again, I was watching it at 4am after an 8hr binge.
Because he's good boyfriend material. Yeah, he was kind of an asshole, but he realized that pretty much entirely on his own. He was not only remorseful, but went out of his way to do things to make up for the wrongs he committed. Steve Holt is a good character
Netflix shills, fuck off.
I just wish it went dark and not full on black screen. Like what the fuck, Id rather see a mediocre CGI monster than that shit
Show is gender identity you fag. It's all gender identity programming.
But it was legit entertaining
Do you think this show would of worked better if they didn't pander to the 80s aesthetic a little less and worked on more character development, or introduced more characters for the next season?
what is this
I know that I would have enjoyed it more if it was less 80's, but I think that's what got most people invested initially, so I don't blame them for it.
having watched through it 3 times, I wish they made it a bit longer because as is there practically isn't a scene that isn't directly tied to the main plot.
It could have benefited from some scenes that just fleshed out the characters and just have some relaxing, non plot heavy moments.
I guess the lack of those kind of scenes is what makes it feel more like a movie than a tv show
When did they push the 80s aesthetic? It seemed pretty unintrusive to me.
>character development
All the important ones did have some development, I'm not sure what you want out of an 8 episode season set in the timespan of a week. If we're arguing realism, the amount Eleven changed in that time was too much.
INSIDE
I think the 80's aesthetic was great, but they definitely shoulda had more character growth
Based Steve was the only one that actually had any development
show would have worked better if they hadn't wasted half their budget on ryder's overacting
Fuck it I just finished yesterday and I wanna watch it all over again now
The Soundtrack is what made it all work
Seriously when that shit came on the feels became too much
Twin Peaks had a similar effect in the last two episodes. In that show it was used to exaggerate confusion and disarray. I'm not sure if Stranger Things used it entirely for artistic purposes. They established the rule about lights flickering and the monster. Perhaps they just tied their hands setting up those rules with the mythology.
The ending to me was frustrating. It was good, but the final DnD meta conversation was just so on the nose that it kinda pulled me out of enjoying the story. It was like a 'na na nuh boo boo' from the writers in what had otherwise been a very dark and serious show.
I'm still looking forward to the next season and would give the show an 8.5/10. I'm very excited so see what those agents were doing with Hopper and finding out if/how he's communicating with El in the Upside Down (assumably) and how that box is getting her those waffles.
The Soundtrack is what made it all work

>mfw this is the same caliber as other Netflix shows like oitnb but the retards on this board eat it up because it's catered to them
>Steve never tried to get El to have sex with him "because that's what friends do"
broke immersion for me desu
he's a fucking fearless mastermind detective, he got brought in for "promotion" i think.
>a show about childhood friends having an adventure, battling cosmic entities and doing what's right
>a show about prison sluts eating each other out
I'm not saying oitnb is bad, it's just not as entertaining or cozy.
no. because at the end hes still the sheriff. Its obvious they told him to keep feeding the spirit of Eleven by leaving symbolic food in a box
>no he's not working for them, he's doing work for them
yes
its a secret, obviously
meme show/10
I find it annoying that they neglected closure on Mikes story line. Those bittersweet kids movies from the 80s usually end with sadder reflective moment that emotionally gives closure to the audience. His character was in many way the heart of the show and I think they should have given more to the audience.
>Its obvious they told him to keep feeding the spirit of Eleven by leaving symbolic food in a box
wait what? Is there a post credit scene I missed?
I was born in '92 so I never really experienced the movies that this show is apparently appealing to but I was frustrated by that as well. I couldn't believe that they were going to end the season with all of the guys (especially Mike) acting like nothing happened and playing DnD with El still missing.
I don't think for a second that all the guys (minus Will) would have gone through all of this stuff with her and then given up on her when she vanished. That's not what friends do.
It's not a post credit scene but rewatch the last part of the final episode and you'll see Hop packing up food at the police party and grabbing some waffles and bringing them to the woods where Will disappeared (and the guys found El) and placing it in a box. There were tread marks in the snow when he got there so he's clearly been going there somewhat frequently which implies he's somehow handing things off to her.
but why would you feed a spirit in box? or at all for that matter?
>symbolic
kek
Hops best character in the whole show
>Based Hops
I'd like to see a bunch of seasonal stories, all with El being the connecting factor
>it's an /our guy/ episode
>Well that was weird, but I've seen Stranger Things
Fucking seriously?
is this actually that good? I honestly cant believe a show with that many child actors could be enjoyable, they are usually terrible and simply serve as motivation or plot for adult actors
Because he cares about El after all they've been through and wants to give her some small comforts in the horror that is the Upside Down (if that's where she is).
The child actors are better than they have any right to be. Probably the only 4 good ones in the industry right now. You don't see very much of one of them, but the other 4 are just great.
After watching an episode you'll have a pretty good idea if its for you.
I've never seen better kid actors actually. The Black one gets annyoing sometimes but thats more the writing than his acting. The kids are also just as integral as the adults
I really really enjoyed the show, but it won't be for everyone
He's obviously going to be working with them in S2.
>flashes
HAHAH
He's actually warping to that world.
>he has baby-gorgonites on his body
>gorgonites can warp to and from the UD at will
>because they're inside him he warps together
It's obvious.
They're fantastic, especially the Millie Bobby Brown (the girl with the shaved head)
The only one who's a bit sketchy is Lucas but like the other user said that's more due to his character more than anything.
Could just be her handler. They better do the 1 year later thing with every season. Seeing these kids grow up and having story lines that run for years. Theres great potential. I do think that the central mystery is a bit boring. Not sure how much more they can do with it.
All I read was that she got upset when one of the boys farted and stank up the bus. What else didn't she like?
That's the issue. Different subject matter sure. But same witting style/structure/pacing etc
