Don't argue

Don't argue

DUDE U2 LMAO

GKMC > DAMN. > TPAB
didn't listen to Section.80

out of 100 rating scale maybe

this desu

GKMC>S80=DAMN.>TPAB>UU

S80: 8/10
GKMC: 9/10
TPAB: 8/10
UU: 7/10
DAMN.: 8/10

I genuinely can't comprehend how anyone could prefer TPAB to GKMC, GKMC is so much more conceptual, sonically consist, lyrically rich, more abrasive and carries far more personal themes. TPAB is structurally like Kanye's most recent album but it's given a pass because Kendrick is popular and can do no wrong

I think it strongly resonates with black people. I don't deny it's good, I just can't fully grasp it.

I can't imagine being this stupid

I easily prefer GKMC over TPAB, though I definitely think that TPAB is very conceptual and executes its well (like when he talks about how he was depressed in the poem and then 'U' plays). GKMC is one of my favorite albums though.

What an idiot you are.

Sct. 80: 8.2/10
GKMC: 9.0/10
To Pimp A Butterfly: 10/10
UU: 8.4/10
Damn: 9.8/10 (honestly might be 10/10, but I need more time to rest with it) I listened to it on Acid the other day and I'm pretty sure he's channeling God, or something. Completely surreal

>needs to be under the influence to enjoy music

Sct. 80 6.5/10
GKMC 9/10
TPAB 11/10
DAMN 7.5/10

there is not a single line where user implies that

Sct. 80 8.7/10
GKMC 9.1/10
TPAB 9.5/10
UU 8.3/10
DAMN 8.8/10

>Inb4 dickrider

GKMC > DAMN. > TPAB > S.80 > UU
Haven't listen to OD, KLEP, or any of his stuff under K.DOT

Youre a fucking retard, To pimp a butterfly is kendricks best album. How about you listen to more real hip-hop to actually comprehend and appreciate TPAB instead of listening to shit trap

Because youre a fucking dumbass that only listens to trap and thereforecant comprehend the genuis of TPAB

wow you literal fantano drone

Section. 80 was fun. Easy to listen to.
GKMC was the best album by far.
TPAB was "whitey did all the wrong" - the album

Haven't bothered to listen to the latest one.

>TPaB is structurally like Kanye's most recent album
what in the world are you talking about ?

s80 trash/10
gkmc 3/10
tpab 6/10
uu 4/10
damn 4/10

Is it just a meme for TPAB to be related to anti-white?
I didn't get that from the album as the big booming message...

this

How dense do you have to be to fail to make that connection?

Hell, one of the songs is literally about niggers fucking white women behind the back of the slave owners.

Same here.

gkmc 9
tpab 7
all the rest is

sick list brah

naw it wasn't a white woman, chump. it was about a house negro, a light skinned black woman. you need to actually listen if you aren't just baiting.

>"brown skinned but your blue eyes tell me your mama can't run"

>promoting racemixing

>liking white women = hating white people
rely maks u think

...

DAMN is not even as good as TPAB's leftovers.

TPAB>DAMN.GKMC
FAGGOT!

>i listen to anthony fantano

GKMC=TPAB>DAMN>S.80=UU

S.80: 8.5
GKMC: 9.5
TPAB: 9.5
UU: 8.5
DAMN: 9

>TPAB is structurally like Kanye's most recent album
Really? I remember looking at the tracklist a while ago being like "Idk how else this could be organized" I would agree with you if you were talking about DAMN.

nah, I just really dislike DAMN.

GKMC > S80 > TPBA > UU > Drake's latest 3 albums > DAMN

both are great

TPAB is irrefutably his best work, anything after is subjective.

That's objectively incorrect, where the fuck are you coming up with this stupid shit?

If he was truly a Fantano drone, Section 80 and DAMN. would be much lower.

section 80 was a six, good kid bad kid was a seven, to pimp a butterfly was a ate, untitled unmastered was a seven, damn was a seven. this all changed soon.

>le real hip-hop
jesus these people still exist

It's just what I like. Listened to all his albums at least 5 times, and that's my rating. I understand why people rate TPAB as his best, but it's not for me, and that's ok.

damn is the spong

objectively correct

you a fuckin nutjob if you believe this trash

I don't believe the Drake part. I personally like S80 better than TPAB, but I understand why TPAB is better. Still dislike DAMN.

I like S80 above TPAB also, I think it's better done as an album. TPAB gets preachy and doesn't flow well, S80's only flow issue is no makeup.

why don't you like DAMN? I'm curious cause many of the reasons I like S80 kendrick is also why I like DAMN kendrick

I dislike a lot of the beats. That particular aesthetic is not for me. I also don't really dig Kendrick's vocal performance on this one. But there's like, a good 5 songs or so I like.

Feel and Element from the top of my head. DNA is ok, and so is XXX

element's one of my favorites, so you don't like the more trap inspired direction of it?

the reason I compare it to S80 is cause it's more of a "rap" album as dumb as that sounds. like he's more spitting bars, and still has deeper meaning it's just underlying. less just taking from flylo and every other jazz rap group like TPAB did

The only people who think TPAB is bad are the ones that perpetuate the whole "kill whitey" meme.
There's 0 reason to consider it a bad album by any means

>People think DAMN is best
GOD is LEGITIMATELY IRREFUTABLY the worst song he's ever recorded since fucking OD.

There is no worse song on his entire last 4 projects than that.
LOVE is laughably bad why are you singing you're not drake
The album is poorly mixed like come the fuck on people I'm starting to believe it's memes at this point.

>This album is poorly mixed
Of all the flaws DAMN does have, this is not one of them

I really am not sure why everyone is losing their minds over DAMN. It's good; I enjoyed it when I gave it a few spins. But it didn't blow my mind and now, a few days later - I barely remember anything about it sonically or lyrically. Could anons give me their thoughts on what makes the album so good for them? I'm genuinely interested…

I really like the production. Kendrick's realness also stuck with me.

this desu

>you're not drake
drake can't sing nigga lmao
>worst since OD
nah, it's a catchy song.
>poorly mixed
purchase headphones

good taste
sucks to be unable to appreciate music :(

Listen to damn backwards and realize that it's kino/10

Go listen to GKMC and listen to how his voice pops over the instrmental, every song on this his voice is burried.

Buy some headphones kid.

Am I the only motherfucker that liked LOVE

You're not alone user

>What an idiot you are
>I listened to it on Acid
Rarely listen to trap if ever
In the sense that both albums feel like a collection of underdeveloped ideas without any overarching cohesion. Some tracks have relationships (lowlights/highlights, for free/for sale) when others do not, there is no consistent thread throughout. There is nothing wrong with an album just being a collection of tracks or not carrying a single narrative or theme, but to insert tracks that clearly allude to one another and then lessen that effect with a handful of tracks that add absolutely nothing to that equation is shallow to me. Especially coming off the back of such a holistic album like GKMC and arguably for Kanye Yeesuz.

GKMC>TPAB>>>>>>>>>>>>>DAMN.

>person voices an opinion that deviates from the norm
>wow how fucking dare you dude, you're a fucking idiot

>Some tracks have relationships (lowlights/highlights, for free/for sale)
You need someone to hold your hand to be able to see the relations that run throughout the whole album? Look past track titles

same here

It nearly cracked my top 5 songs off this album. It's catchy af

How Much A Dollar Cost and The Blacker the Berry are my two favourite tracks on the album and they have absolutely nothing to do with each other and they are two places apart in the tracklisting. If you dare try and claim some nebulous thematic connection like "race relations in america" or "Kendrick's confrontation with race" I all call you BS.

love is great. super catchy

>TPAB
10/10
>Untitled
9/10
>GKMC
8/10
>DAMN
7/10
>Section
6/10

DAMN>TPAB>GKMC>>S.80

did you buy some shitty expensive headphones with a fuckton of bass or something?
the mixing is fine

>didn't listen to Section.80

Sec. 80 is 8/10
GKMC is 10/10
TPAB is 9/10
Damn is 6/10

objectively

yea this dude is just trying to find things to complain about

section 80 8/10
GKMC 10/10
TPABF 10/10
DAMN 6/10

Weaboo, go listen to your shit anime music. Not even real music

all of them NA/10

I don't like hip hop. Never will.

I wonder if the conspiracy theories about DAMN. bugged Kendrick.

like actual news outlets were saying shit like "if you thought DAMN. was lackluster we've got good news for you! it was probably just the intro to his REAL album that's coming out next sunday!"

personally I liked the album, but GKMC and TPAB and even Section.80 all feel like much more complete albums.
I'd probably like it more if he trimmed away fillers and tracks like FEEL, PRIDE, LOVE and just called it an EP

what's wrong with feel and pride?

UU is forreal amazing. Untitled 06 is his best song hands down, even with a Ceelo feature.

racism = lower intelligence

i know it's the hot moo meme to say so, but Section 80 isn't that good.

Section 80: 6/10
GKMC: 8/10
TPAB: 9/10
UU: 9/10
Damn: 8/10

they're mediocre and out of place with the rest of the album

what would your ideal tracking be?

pride is literally a continuation of the main narrative

just remove YAH, PRIDE, LOVE, XXX, FEAR, GOD and maybe even LOYALTY while you're at it.
now you have a dope ass EP
that doesn't make it a good track though

>fear
>xxx (first half)
>pride
>yah
man what the fuck

>xxx (first half)
if by first half you mean up until 1:20 when that godawful police siren beat starts
>yah
fear and pride are not bad tracks in their own right, but yah is legit garbage

you're all a bunch of gay nerds that've never done anything

>yah is legit garbage
How

this desu senpai

beat isn't good, Kendrick is sounds like he's too focused on saying what he needs to say to care about rhyming properly and making what he's saying sound good. just my humble opinion, but the lyrics sound like they're from a Sun kil moon or Randy Newman song (not dissing Sun kil moon or Randy Newman)
