Hey Sup Forums, can anyone identify what this might be? I found it when cleaning out my parents kitchen at their old house.
>inb4 knife
It's really dull and the shape doesn't seem like it would cut something.
Also general 'what is this' discussion

Also I apologize for the photo, I didn't know it would flip.
Is by any chance your father an ex convict ?
I don't recall him ever mentioning.
Looks like a cheap table knife that has been repaired and resharpened many times.
The curve on the back says it's probably quite old, but not an antique.
People used to do this before everything became cheaper and easily replaced.

Looks like some type of busted knife or scraper. I found some stuff similar to that when I go to estate sales of older people

Story time
It's a clam schucker
story?
Possible, I doubt it however. The usage doesn't really resemble normal kitchen use. It clearly is an inexpensive knife (the blade is steel, not the hardest one considering the damage). My best guess is that it has been used for repair work -> breaking off tiles from the floor/wall for example. Show the kitchen floor to us OP?
Ass Man guess: he lifted a tile or something from the wall and hid something behind. But he had to go back from time to time to get at it (hence he kept the knive and repaired it).
OP you might be close to a treasure. Or a dead body...
Thanks for taking my sleep
