I can really contribute to this thread.
There's a not very well known album called "The Race for Space". It's a concept album, in which every song represent an event in the cold war space race. There's one for the first satelite, the first man on space, the moon landing, etc, etc. I don't want to enter the merit of the "quality" of the music, I'll leave that up to you.
