Billion dollar idea

... said no one ever ...

Feig actually wrote that in one of his emails.

The Ghostbusters cinematic universe will eventually make a billion dollars. Even the MCU started off making very little money with the first few movies

Why do they have to stand like men? What's between their legs?

Long, hanging labia.

Did it flop?

>implying this will get a sequel
kek

>it's already made 122 millions
That's a shitton of money, Sup Forums BTFO MANBABIES ON SUICIDE WATCH

Wasn't its budget 150mil?

+ 200 mil in marketing budget
Feig stated it needed 500 mil min for a small amount of profit

I don't think Ghostbusters would have ever become a franchise that makes one billion dollars a movie.
But probably hiring Paul Fag and all PR choices after that, made things significantly worse.

Now they have a flop and the franchise is ruined for at least a decade.

>The Ghostbusters cinematic universe will eventually make a billion dollars. Even the MCU started off making very little money with the first few movies

Iron Man made 600m on a similar budget. Ghostbusters will be lucky to make 250. If Iron Man made 250m we wouldn't have a MCU.

Why couldn't they have picked a more attractive black women. I know black women are bottom of the barrel, but even for black women, she is super fugly.

Paul Feig's big ideas for the movie were GHOST ALIENS and the dance scene. Neither of which made it into the movie, except in the credits. Lol

It's already made $122+ million in ticket sales world wide. Add in all the toy sales, and it'll be fine. I don't think anyone regrets doing this movie.

>+ 200 mil in marketing budget
>Use Adblock + Anti Adblock Killer.
>Don't watch broadcast TV.
>Watch everything either on Netflix or download it from BTN.
>Only listen to ad free radio in the car.
>No billboards in my sleepy little corner of the world.
There are a surprising amount of people like me - advertising basically has no exposure on us.
In fact, when I'm visiting a relative and I see an add whilst we're watching TV, I'm legitimately weirded out sometimes - There's a lot of things that you just let slide when you see adds everyday, you'll be surprised how fucking crazy adds are after avoiding them for a week or so.
Like, when episode VII (the bloomening) came out, I saw Star Wars adds for razors, cereal, cars, underwear and I just had to stop and double take at every single one of them.

Toys are already on sale, they made way too much for the demand; even toy collectors who get 10 of fucking everything movie related aren't touching them.

I blame racist man babies and pokemon go for this!!!!!!

How do you know how much they spent on marketing?

Budget was 170M, after marketing, distribution, etc they need 500M to make even a small profit.
Marketing is always the largest cost of a film like this.

i hope they threw that much out, and learn from it to stop remaking movies

>adds

Reminder that the studio wanted people like Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence but they had scheduling conflicts.

>scheduling conflicts.
Smart enough to smell a turd sandwich.

I legitimately want a Back to the Future remake with Charlie Day playing the Scientist.
