Do students in your country wear special hats ?

Do students in your country wear special hats ?

Belgium
Yes

It's called : la "calotte", for the catholic universities.

...

Pic is the king wear The Brussels hat

Tu es de Louvain-La-Neuve?

In Gent, Leuven and Antwerp some clubs wear pic related.

They're not all right wing though

That's a special snowflake fez

yes. every school has their own. universities have their own hats. academic organizations have their own hats. etc.

pic rel was my hat in 10-12th grade, before that, beginning in 1st grade there was no star on it.

i swear i posted the pic lol

Only some students on graduation, generaly not.

Kek, looks pretty much like the hat some fraternities wear here. Fraternities that wear that are usually linked to the( far) right though, is it similar in Estonia?

the fraternities are hard core nationalist here too. they were banned many times for this reason.

The fuck, they look exactly like the right wing fraternities here. I didn't know other countries had them too

i know finnish university students have a white hat

damn i wish i was at my parents place, i have a shit ton of pics of estonian sutdents with all kinds of different hats

pic rel, a sample of what i'm talking about

are you flemish?

>USA on his calotte

Yep. AMA

Looks cool. Nevertheless I have the feeling that it's a tradition that is dying out. In the past most students were in frats, but now they're rather small afaik.

i'd the the opposite is true here. it used to be a big thing for only the elite schools and tartu university students. now everyone wears them with pride. not every day tho, but when ever there's reason you put it on

just curious, which parts of Belgium are more liberal and which more conservative?

here's a nice pic of different styles

are you pro independence?

Very nice. Yeah as of lately most frats are shunned upon by society because of all the heavy drinking

Flanders has always been right wing, while Wallonia can be very socialist

Meh depends, I just want a more efficient goverment. The Belgian structure is such a mess that a break-up is probably the only solution. If Flanders becomes independent it should immediately join the Netherlands though

if Flanders becomes independent, what should happen with Brussels tho?

Yeah that's the big question. People in Flanders used to care a lot about Brussels, but since it has become full of muslims people don't care anymore. Today only 10% of the population of Brussels is Flemish. A lot of Flemish people work in the city though, so losing it might be bad for business

>penne

quelle horreur, dégage de ce thread

oui

maybe because he went to the USA for some time or either he loves the country.

yes

Uni students wear this

One patch = organized party or event you attended

Basically used for normies to boast about their normieness

some frats in France have something called "la Faluche" that they decorate with all sorts of party bullshit
they seem to be mostly left wing and tend to have a lot less rape than other frats
still normie douchebags though

Wow that looks god-tier comfy
All jovial nice men in good spirits spreading the word of fraternity

Yes, we receive the ylioppilaslakki once we finish high school, this is my moms hat
>tfw too intelligent for high school

cesec was here !

For upper secondary school ours look exactly like this

Normally you also have your name printed on the brim.

For uni graduation they look like the top left here:

Same thing here. Especially Technical University students wear overalls coloured according to their department, and then they go patch hunting in organized student parties.

They also wear white cap with a black tuft hanging in the end of a black braid.

What a stupid tradition.
