Yes. Better jokes, better plots, better characters. Both shows have genuinely strong casts but Silicon Valley's doesn't have any actors as bad as Penny so it gets the edge on casting too. Only advantage Big Bang has over Silicon Valley is that it's comfier.

I liked the first season. I originally started watching because of Thomas Middleditch played a character in the webseries Jake and Amir which I liked. After that it stopped being funny
