Dude delete your search history and clear all cookies and cache honestly you could of been listed by google and they report it to local police because they will question how you stumbled upon it and weird websites like you say they will think you were purposely searching for it

Everyone can upload pictures to Imgur and then choose whether to share it to the gallery or not.
If you not share it, you can only access a picture if you have the direct link.
it is always "imgur.com/" and then after the "/" a series of random numbers and/or letters. If you just type in anything and it happens to be the url of a picture then you can see it.
But before loading the site you don't know what picture you will see (99 percent of the time, the url does not exist and you get a 404)
