s/fur First world countries have lots of people who are well educated but can't get a job above minimum wage, which isn't enough to live comfortably on. Third world countries have few people who have any decent education, so especially in Africa, there is a lack of the proper knowledge and management to make decent use of the abundant manpower and resources available.
So what's the holdup? It sounds like if an industrial company existed that made it easy for disgruntled graduates to move to a third world country and get into managerial positions within that company, that company could do very well.
Possibly. I remember when I first read the article the first comment was about how the industry needs to stop pretending these advancements are for anything other than sexbots.

But you can build possibly a very powerful business based on just that. $5 an hour could be a very comfortable wage in some countries, in places like Madagascar there's people with families working for $2 a day.
Why work for $10 an hour in a country where you pay $2 to get your laundry done when you could work for $5 an hour in a country where you could pay $2 to have someone do your laundry, clean your room, and cook you a meal or two?
A company that took people out of first world countries on that basis and used their skills to amplify the usefulness of an incredibly cheap but uneducated workforce would be possibly very powerful. How can you compete with a mining company that can have a well-managed workforce of a hundred people which has a total cost of less than $1000 a day? Sure, they might not have fancy equipment, but by sheer number of people they could do better than companies that can't have even ten people working for that amount.

Yeah, my lame joke aside you're actually probably right
In practice I would imagine you'd have to overcome some hurdles, namely dealing with foreign (and likely corrupt) governments, and enticing people to areas that generally lack social stability in the first place
Who knows, if you develop the idea a little further you might be able to drum up some investors and give it a go

I mean, that's basically what China has been doing across large swaths of Africa - bringing in Chinese engineers and managers to oversee mining and infrastructure operations
though if you tried it as a westerner you might attract liberal criticisms for 'revitalizing colonialism' or some such nonsense

And? This wouldn't be moving a huge labour force to the US, this would be taking the well educated but underpaid young adults of first world countries and moving them to somewhere in Africa where there's a huge labour force that needs managing.
It'd be good to see a little more of the world if I was to consider actually doing a project like this myself! Like, Africa is the obvious destination, sure, but where in Africa? It'd need to be somewhere with a very cheap workforce, not too much corruption, not too much crime, and not much difficulty with language (i.e. a good portion of the work force would speak English and/or the native language would not be hard to learn)
I'm aware of this, but China is the least qualified country to be doing that. It's a notoriously hive-minded country that puts little value on individuals trying to manage a notoriously selfish continent where people are really just trying to get by. Plus, are the Chinese actually making use of bulk labour, or are they trying to use heavy machines that cost far more for the same amount of work and also require trained operators?

you mean a waste. just find some stupid slut to take your shit. sure, you have to deal with unwanted pregnancies and STD's, but hell, it's that or be all sad and unsatisfied with yourself, sexually.
I mean, you could just man up and deal with it, but no; you need to prove yourself to yourself by jeopardizing yourself, because only pussies don't fuck worthless diseased sluts. loser.

I was getting at people aren't satisfied with themselves and need to spend money on sexual gratification. I own sex toys; I don't rely on them in lieu of someone elses approval or their cost.

Yes actually. For woman it means that she is independent, proud, in control, and not whoring around. For a man it means that he is useless manlet fag that can't get real pussy in his life, which is basically his purpose on this planet.
