Remakes almost never work

The original is still shockingly funny to this day actually. And not the sort of movie that could get remade in it's current form at all.

One of the things that stuck most in my child's mind from having seen it originally was the nerds putting beer in Cheerios and how fucked up that seemed to me.

Then watching it again recently I realized that's the scene where they're watching the video feeds from the girl's dorm and there are tits all over the place. I probably hadn't seen many or any at that age, but still beer in Cheerios is what I remember. Crazy world man.

It would miss the point. The nerds would be attractive, the sex jokes would just become sex in general, we would most likely get "muh improv" humor that's killing comedy. Also like others said, everything would be toned down in the wrong places because "rape."
