/180/: SINGHA BEER GRAND SLAM OF DARTS DAY 1

The BDO's annual venture to the dark side of the PDC starts today from Wolverhampton's Civic Hall with the Grand Slam of Darts. Last year saw a thrilling comeback from Michael van Gerwen against Phil Taylor in the final to secure what was the Green Machine's complete set of PDC major titles.

Following the official side of the sport's unmitigated disaster last year, where Martin Adams was their only representative to advance from the group stages and shithouse Dutch Harry Potter impersonator Mark Oosterhuis produced some of the worst darts ever televised, there has been a shake-up in their entry criteria with places now being allocated to their Order of Merit alongside its major winners. This means that for the first time we'll see their Number 1, Middlesbrough's Glen Durrant, Dutch youngster Danny Noppert, Canadian good guy Jeff Smith and Tipton's answer to Dave Chisnall in Jamie Hughes gracing the West Midlands stage. Also from the BDO are current Lakeside champ Scott Waites, 2015's winner Scott Mitchell, Stockport bottlejob Darryl Fitton and another glorious return of Wolfie.

For the PDC qualifiers, it's another case of "oh god who are these jobbing twats" as players that actually won events this year (Stephen Bunting and Josh Payne) weren't allowed to qualify for this tournament and instead have to sit at home watching nobodies including Dullster's Brendan Dolan and permanently enraged midget Darren fucking Webster shit their pants on stage yet again. These two beat Kim Huybrechts and Jelle Klaasen respectively which is sure to enrage everyone. Uncle Barry really needs to improve the qualifying criteria otherwise we're just going to have this for years to come: places given to undeserving floor jobbers over those that actually won things in the year.

Coverage starts at 1:00pm UK time on SS2 with the evening session from 7:30pm UK time on SS5.

Good OP. Currently in spain or just b& and thus using proxy?

>OP is in Spain again
Nice

>Michael van Gerwen v Martin Adams (A)
lol poor Wolfie

Just away.

Interestingly, MVG v Wolfie is a rematch of the autist's first breakthrough a decade ago in the World Masters: youtube.com/watch?v=oPeDkZ8WBa0

He remains the youngest winner of a major in darts history (17y 174d).

Absolute state of MVG's hair.
>He remains the youngest winner of a major in darts history (17y 174d).
Damn, son. It's amazing how young he still is.

And we're on now.

>no John Part

This event is the only circus exhibition worth watching. While the enlarged trebles are offputting, the sight of the BDO boys laughing to the bank as they school these amateurs is a sight to see.

...

BDO STRONK

>le dancing dutchman

Johnny Fat's right anyone could come out of this group of jobbers. Wonder if Thorny will actually log a win or two, he's been gifted this group really on his recent form.

Waites will top this group lads.

He looked handy at last years worlds where he put out Ian White iirc. There's an Iceman in the making with this lad.

vdB playing damn well.

the dream maker has shit the bed.

>allowing this to happen

>Price
lmao

>The city of welsh roids

>tfw no australian_national_anthem.mp3

>jizznall

>Jizzy getting rekt by some who

Clutch 64

What's Wilson's ceiling in the PDC do you reckon? I'd assume around Beaton level, permanently between 19th and 25th in the world.

I think Jizzy is incapable of finishing his dinner, never mind this

>jizzy

>Chizzy

>Jizzy
lel

>busting 42

ffs chizzy

Wouldn't surprise me if he makes top 16

BIG MENS

>Noppert's ear stud

Mensurs action is almost hypnotic

...can you finish a 9er on D14?

...

You're not Peru, fuck off

dem averages

>Peru falling over

I'm sure it can't be done.

Noppy is a very good player.

Had a great start to the year but fell off big time recently.

Will be debuting at the Lakeside in Jan as #2 seed IIRC

Bugger. Theres goes my dream of seeing Mensur get a 9er off D14

Lovely setup from Noppert.

Haven't really followed BDO darts this year. You're not kidding. He's playing lovely darts in this match.

So that's Noppert switching codes in January then. Making the GS count for the OoM was the canniest thing Uncle Baz has done in the past five years.

DAT 104

Noppert looks like he can barely believe his eyes at the size of these trebles.

dartsdatabase.co.uk/PlayerDetails.aspx?playerKey=13202

He did better than I thought in back end of the year.

DAT 104

Come on MENS

Although the main downside of it being ranked is floor jobbers getting even more chance of staying in the Top 64 when they should fuck off.

Well done Noppy on beating Mensur. Shaken that group right up.

AWOOOOOOOO

Mrs Rab putting the headguard on.

She'll be the only thing wee Rabbie beats today.

Stream 170 seems to still work

Huh it switched to SS 4

What channel is still playing it if sky isnt?

Thanks

It's still Sky apparently

This seems like it's ogre anyway.

Cant wait for wolfie to blow out these pdc circus floor jobbers

Your one hour warning.

/147/ is just starting

>/147/ is just starting

We comfy season now

There were no threads all week

Couldn't watch the afternoon session, only saw a recap of Clown and Mensur losing against noobert. Did I miss anything? From the thread, I guess Chizzy also screwed up. How did Shitlock? Did the downfall of Thornton continue?

Ive only managed to catch the end of one of Ronnies games. The US election kinda took up everything else

Already had some GWAN RONNIES tonight

>literally allowing a busted match fixer to play
Disgusting

Two greats together.

Yes Barry we know

>football shirt guy

Shitlock did okay and so did Thorny. Barney had a good performance.

Comfy overload, m8s.
