Has there been a better year for music this decade?

...

>only 1 good album

holy fucking moly
imagine lactating off of pitchfork and rym THIS much to formulate your opinions
you're just a cardboard cutout of a human being aren't you

Why yes i am

2010 > 2013 > others

you're the reason this place is as bad as it is to the degree that it is

>Blames others for unrelated problems
Wew

Pretty much agreed, but

2013 > 2010 > others

not by much though

don't it make it my fault you like the taste of your own shit so much
your cookie cutter taste sucks the life out of coming here and only enablers think that an echo chamber is enjoyable at all

>Pretty much agreed
>different answer

2015:
- Jenny Death
- Compton
- Death Magic
- Oblivion Access
- Get to Heaven
- Dumb Flesh

And British Murder Boys if we count compilations.
All better than those six albums.

And 2017 is actually better than 2016 so far

2014>2011>2017 (so far)>2015>2010>2016>2013>2012

Id agree with 2010 what with MBDTF, This Is Happening, Innerspeaker, Age of Adz

Forgot pic

Where is Vektor - Terminal Redux

Not even memeing, this was the best album of 2016.

...

Never seen this posted before, ill have to check it out

why is blackstar laying down in that trashcan?

>Implying Sirens is trash
>Implying AMSP is trash

>beep boop for 10 minutes, underwhelming vocals.

radiohead album is ok tho.

>2015
>only one of these albums are memorable

>Using anime
>Ever

The Assassination of Julius Caesar
Arca
Carrie & Lowell Live
Damn.
Darling of the Afterglow
Drunk
Process
Humanz

2017 is already one of the best years for music this decade.

>you can't use anime
>on a Japanese cartoon message board

2016 > 2010 > 2012 > 2013 > 2011 > 2014 >>>>> 2015

>Taking anything seriously on a Taiwanese Oceanography message board

AE and Jaar suck

2016 had an average amount of great albums but seriously lacked in the "good" department. All the albums were either awesome or a waste of time, nothing in the middle.

Best year was probably 2012 or 2010, with 2013 and 2011 coming behind those respectively

2012
2010
2013
2011
2015
2016
2014
2017 (thus far)

tpab?

2015

Best for rap, rock, pop, metal the list goes on. The only thing 2016 did better was punk and prog

Arca is the disappointment of the year, you has to have no taste whatsoever to think it's anything more than a 5 and worth to be mentioned.
Entranas was good.

I can't imagine getting this pissed off because someone likes popular music. I actually like a few of those albums WITHOUT being influenced by pitchfork or RYM. Who'd have thought such a thing was possible?

Its just what happens when man children from reddit and pol come here and misunderstand this boards culture

>The only thing 2016 did better was punk and prog

But Steven Wilson didn't even release a new album

>when sorceress is better than all albums but blackstar

Definitely was a superb year in terms of album covers.

t. nu-male

Not even the biggest Opeth fanboys liked that album

You don't even know what you're talking about not to mention yes it was in fact better

4.5 > HCE

Lol no. Maybe in a top 20 but that's it.

>4.5 > HCE
"No"
2015 also had Riverside, Leprous, Anekdoten, Kingcrow, Neal More and Steve Hackett

t. Manchild

because opeth fanboys are stubborn cunts. the problem with the album isn't that it's a bad one, but that that it's caffeine-free prog refusing to commit to any sound.

also, my exact point was that it wasn't their best and still topped all of OP's picks.

>Leaving out Beardfish
I'm better at your argument than you are and I dont even agree with you.

>"I come to this board to validate my opinions! How dare somebody disagree with them! I'm going to have to call them a cardboard cutout of a human!"

It was their weakest album by far
Shame they broke up now

>buying into the "music taste defines who you are" meme
>buying into the "popular music is garbage" meme
>buying into the "popularity and image of an album is more important than it's musical quality" meme

don't be such a boring person m9

and we're still missing new LCD, Fleet Foxes, and Grizzly Bear (which sounds promising based on teasers)

dont forget the new Sun Kil Moon and the possibly new Tool album, maybe even doomstarks but thats a huge stretch

mature themes > pom pom
the seer > to be kind
most death grips albums > NOTM
black up > lese majesty
you're nothing > plowing into the field of love

2014 was the year of inferior releases and follow ups

except youre wrong

So much this, its whats wrecked this board. Its either circlejerking the same shit or attacking someone over anything you dont like. There is no discussion

>Depeche mode tribute album
>disappointing album
>live album of an album from 2 years ago
>disappointing album
>an album no one cares about
>very boring snippets of songs shoved together as an album
>only good album you listed
>trash

2017 is a really boring year you pleb

i meant before today rather than mature themes but yeah apart from that i'm right

>Never seen this posted before
It was the most memed metal album since Sunbather neewfag

That's a smug Wendy

I think it might be 2012. gkmc, channel orange, money store, the seer, etc.

people are saying 2013, I don't really agree with that in all honesty.

>doomstarks
fuck dude, i wish i was optimistic enough to think this was ever gonna be released

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
