When I was in my mid teens, I legitimately despised ICP. The thing was, they perfectly embodied white trash culture in all its nihilism, hopelessness, and stupidity. As a kid from Colorado, I wanted desperately to get away from all that.
Now, as an adult, I can see them as a goofy, silly pop-rap group, and they have some stuff that's kinda fun in a light way. But that's because it doesn't touch on my insecurities anymore, so there isn't that emotional charge.
