I think you could benefit from a different type of beat. Something that juxtaposes your voice. Other than that the mixing on this is mad decent. -Real Deal Dave
i got a new mic so i'm slowly re-recording old shit

rec, followed
also collab pls
not bad my man, followed
you seem like a total memelord but this production quality is surprisingly good
already following you
pretty dope, would collab with/10
not bad, seems like the sound effects are kind of disjointed and don't really fit though
this is dope, followed, please collab
a little bit too "all-over-the-place" for me but production value is great

Not original music, but hopefully it's alright - a little acoustic project where we cover tunes we like. They all vary in quality a lot, depending on how much time we get to work on them, but we're pretty big fans of the one we linked.
Feedback for a lazy Sunday night and a week away from work. I'm very bad at giving constructive criticism, but will point out what I enjoyed in my listens:
Listened to "Routine" and "Farewell Station". Both are very short and sweet, and you have just enough going on in both of them. Could definitely see you building in some direction with Routine. Farewell station is very pretty.
Very unique! Your flow is very solid, and the intro was jarring in a good way - didn't expect it to unfold as it did in the first 5 seconds. Loved the Sagan verse, and the whole thing was very solid.
Had a really good chuckle at the album art, first and foremost. Have to agree with the memelord/production quality comment. I listened to Home Alone (very catchy, would be interested in knowing where some of the samples came from - if there was any sampling involved), 0:57 onwards in particular is very, very cool. Really dug it. As for why "My Waifu" is interesting to me - this stuff is quite far away from the stuff I listen to, so it's hard to be a critic, but I actually really like the melody and the different riffs thrown in. There is a LOT of good stuff in there. Great title.
Solid production! Enjoyed all of the little things you have going on during the chorus (or the section that starts from 1:02). The pacing itself is cool, and the single voice/hums leading in and out of the harmony is very nice. At 1:48 you sing "safe and sound" with a very pretty inflection. I don't know if you've heard of Bedouin Soundclash, but I'm a pretty big fan of their singer and your voice sounded quite similar to his in that moment. :)
dropped 6 instrumentals recently, very much in the vein of acts like Clouddead, blockhead, and whatnot but with far more sound collage and ambient elements
>abstract ambient hip hop >DM me if you feel like dropping a verse on any of these songs
talked bout ya in another thread, good stuff man, recommended
I'm usually not a huge fan of stuff like this but this works great, congrats to both of you for both being popular and pretty talented
like the beats, give me almost clipping vibes mixed with some Techno Animal
there's some bad mixing/clipping in the vocal tracks though, would help if that was fixed
listened to routine great stuff, madlib esque, not too generic, all around really nice stuff. followed!

Some really interesting ideas in Kidswaste. Chaotic in a good way, Not sure if intentional but a nice juxtaposition between the warmer sound at 1:10 and the 20 seconds prior to it, almost as if the dreamy part is earned. REALLY like Children of the sun. I got suckered into a few sections thinking they were going to continue, before you pulled them into something better.
A very simple but solid beat for this one. Agree w/ Thomas that it's a clean beat with subtle horns (for Sweet Escape). Listened to Weep - liked it a bit better, good pacing and seems to be a style that works for you from the little bit I've heard. Good stuff!
Really dug the ascending/descending bit from 0:50 - 0:57. Would like to hear some more stuff from you or even something layered if possible!
Fuck, that is pretty. Not sure how to phrase this, but nice... selection with every instrument you used? Everything fits quite nicely together. Any constructive criticism I have (more an opinion than anything else) is that the guitar chords starting from 0:42 that disappear 10/15 seconds after could maybe sound better with everything if turned down a tad, as they overpower the beautiful main melody you have going on there. Great work!
This is some really high quality stuff my dude. Keep at it! Not a mixing expert but the production sounds very, very nice here.
Would love to know what your inspiration was with this! It's a surprising mix between chill and almost unsettling. Streetlight Passage is very, very cool - could totally see it in a film/tv-show/etc.
(While I Should Be Sleeping) So charming! You've got a very nice voice, and this tune has a very welcoming groove to it. Song structure is very solid.
(The Mirror) Ooh, like your voice a bit better in this. Sounds juuust slightly rougher in the best way possible. These are some pretty, well-written and structured tunes!
Cool vibes with this one! Loved the build up with the drum beat and all of the little flourishes you have going on with this one.
First title made me chuckle a bunch. Listened to "Top Gun", very interesting - didn't expect the exploration of the subject matter that showed up. May have to sit through this whole mix afterwards!
Off2Sea - nothing bad to say about this one. Very pretty! You seem to have a really solid foundation if this is coming out of 2/3 months of producing - keep at it!
Home.Sweet.Home. - Sounds familiar from first listen, which is always a good sign. Similar to the above, quite solid! I do think some more variance as it progresses would be nice, as I feel like there's quite a lot you can do with the foundation you've set up with it.
Nonfiction - Really love this beat. Solid flow, some good lyrics/wordplay. Cohesive piece, this one.
Perfect Day - Another beat that I really like. Very pretty and melodic, and a good backdrop for your style and voice. Good stuff.
For Tom - One of my favorites in the thread. Love the fusion of the fast-paced background with the melodic lead, and what it devolved into at 0:40 and beyond is just perfect.
Hauntology - Really great mixing, like the track above. Can't think of anything else to say except very good!
Very mellow stuff. Ambiance is very fitting where present. Nice fingerpicking
I agree with the others regarding the image. Idk how marketable that is. The production is pretty smooth. The first track was pretty dreamy. The second track something felt weird about the faux sitar.
Bandcamp has my high quality downloads. Soundcloud has assorted older tracks. Facebook page is mostly memes, but I'd send my discog if you follow and shoot me a message.
