whoa
reddit general on Sup Forums

reddit is objectively better for music discussion than this shitty board

it's about as shit in terms of how pleb the regular visitor is, but the whole 'upvote/downvote' system is essentialy what makes reddit much worse

FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP TALKING ABOUT REDDIT

RADIOHEAD

Boy, Radiohead vinyl pressings are pretty hit or miss, should I even bother

Most hyped for the unreleased tracks. Those three have been a holy grail for fans since the 90s

>Lift

So that's why they didn't put it on AMSP

also

>no early version of Nude

Full 15 minute version of Paranoid Android when?

What about Follow Me Around? Has it ever been recorded in the studio¿

>OKNOTOK
What a stupid name.

if it has, it's never been released. Closest there is is a live radio studio recording

OKOKNOTCOMPUTER

they must be really happy with these songs to finally release them, they wouldn't do it otherwise

can't wait

>no early version of Nude
Maybe on the cassette with demos and outtakes

>cassette
If they wanted to go full late-90s retard, they should've released it on minidisc and floppies with mp3 files.

inb4 they release the 10th anniversary edition of In Rainbows 10 days later

>20th anniversary edition of Kid Amnesiac

>130
I'd still be enough of a cuck to buy desu

>2007 was 80 years ago

how time flies

>$130
ok
but why

The "regular" 3LP is only $30, though.

it's pretty good, actually

I don't own a physical copy of this.
Do you fellas think the regular 3LP is worth it? It sounds like a good deal.

Studio LIFT and MANOWAR from 1997?

Well, I guess I now have reason to live.

looking forward this this boys

I've been wanting to pick up OK Computer on wax, and considering the wildly varying quality of anything but the OG pressings this seems like a good move.

yeah but you might as well go all in

>"this is too expensive"
>"there's a less expensive option"
>"yeah but I want the expensive one"

at this point, i'm not even sure i want to hear a studio version of man of war.

but the worst thing is, even though this feels like a blatant cash grab... i might actually buy the boxed version.

Why is the digital release later, and why is it wasteful 320kbps and not v0, it's like they want it up on pirate sites

>pay more
>get more of a product or service

pretty basic economics, you Amerifat cuck

what are u even complaining about lol

he was complaining about the price you retard

Do you get extra points for regurgitating two memes in one post?

He wanted the full package, but it was too much. The "less expensive option" you refer to isn't a reasonable alternative because it gives considerably less utility (it's not the same product, in fact it has much less content).

how long do you think it would take for this shit to sell out?

i'm broke atm

inb4 it's $9,001 on discogs

The blue vinyl 3LP is already sold out.

...

what blue vinyl

The one selling on Bleep

bleep.com/release/83961-radiohead-ok-computer-oknotok-1997-2017

Aaaand the standard edition also sold out (hopefully not permanent

...

>you actually thought that was funny

just preordered a copy of the blue vinyl

the stock availability keeps changing

Should have the inverted cover instead.

>being THIS reddit

Didn't they already remaster it though?

No. It's been repressed and reissued over the years, but OK Computer has never had a full blown remaster.

>Buying a Radiohead remaster

AMSP is probably their most compressed release ever, this will probably be even worse.

I'm to stupid to use Reddit. I couldn't figgure it out.

Friend of mine is planning on buying two box sets and sitting on one of them for a decade to resell at a higher price. I know nothing about how much shit like this tends to appreciate- is this as retarded as it sounds?

>is this as retarded as it sounds?

Probably, yes.

Even if the box set is limited edition, probably tens of thousands were made, and it won't be selling out any time soon. He'll probably make only like double the price in a decade.

Just enjoy the music

If they start releasing remasters of every album the yeah.

yeah, but bleep is retarded with that stuff.
they always sell out immediately.

but somehow, boomkat always still has it.
which is the case this time as well lol.

but why isn't the blue vinyl up on their site as well?

will the blue vinyl be available in indie stores like how the white amsp was?

Black vinyl went back up on Bleep

Not that I care about vinyl color, if the black edition isn't limited I'll grab it eventually, no cash right now

someone explain the colored vinyl meme to me

>cassette

fuck this

resist old-ass commodity fetishism in the digital age

it's important if you're just collecting vinyl without ever listening to it because you in fact don't own any gear

Limited edition, meaning people can sell at higher prices eventually in case they want to in the future.

Also because "it looks good"

Most vinyl fags want to feel special.

how will they actually fit this on 3lps?

the original thing on sides a, b and c and then the rest on d, e and f or what?

It comes with a download anyway, I think they want to make it more exclusive because its all old Demos and stuff.

unless said download is lossless it's a shit deal

Doubt it will be.

>cd is cheap AND comes with a bonus disc

that's fucking based, i'm used to 15 euro for just basic cds

Just buy digital only while you're at it

bands starting reissue campaigns in the middle of their catalog is some bullshit

that's waht i've been doing lately, 100 collections on bandcamp feels bretty gud. cheap, support more directly and no shipping that's twice as expensive as the cd/lp/tape

>20th Anniversary
>Unreleased Songs
>B-sides its hard to find on vinyl/CD
It's not like this is just some bullshit

The blue vinyl edition is limited to 4000 copies and is the indie record store exclusive. I doubt they're sold out already since the majority are going to physical stores and it's not even out yet.

This
Is not like the only version to get is the 130 dollar one (which also includes Thom's personal notes from the time and a shit ton of art from Stanley along with a hardcover book of the lyrics and unreleased studio footage. So I wouldn't really call it a ripoff)
If you just want the songs then you can buy the regular for 15 dollars, that's actually super cheap considering the rarity of the songs

I really hope it's not brickwalled, but it probably will be.

Yeah if you call your local shop today you can probably get one.

copped a boxed edition. feels good man.

i just hope the remaster is good.

>INNOTIN

4000 copies for the US, 3000 for the UK

Is the actual album itself remastered?

Every track is, from the analog tapes.

Oh fuck this is gonna be a disaster
Goddammit it's as fine as it is, OK Computer is one of the best produced and mixed records there is, there's no need to compress it and make it part of the loudness war.

still a bit worried it'll be harder to get in store than the white amsp since it's almost less than half of that pressing amount

I'm more optimistic about it.

Obviously tape transfers to digital will never be as good, but it can still be pretty damn good. Don't think they'll just crank it up to 11

Take This Heat reissues for example, they were also tape transfers and still sound fine.

The problem is precedent, everything Radiohead have released this century has been very loud, it would actually be a surprising move if the album is mastered sensibly.

>mfw they will probably EQ tracks like No Surprises so nothing stands out except the vocals (which are already perfect) and Paranoid Android guitars will be pussyfied

I still have some hope though.

but why?

i mean, i agree, but... why?
they're not retarded. are they?

This is honestly what I was hoping for. Not seeing it has me pretty sad.

>tfw Jonny's organ solo will never see the light of day

>I promise
>Lift
>Lull

Fuck me I'm actually hyped for what is little more than a deluxe rerelease

Their box sets are always great. IR and AMSP

Yeah but AMSP deluxe edition was a disaster

A shitty vinyl pressing and one average b-side. What's not to love?

...

>Man o war
>lift
Im going full reddit now yooooo

I think it needs to be something really really rare for that to happen like he wants to, like the blonde black friday sale vinyl

They did a rerun of the actual records sometime earlier this year(or tail end of last year) and those were actually fine pressings. I had been having problems with the records but they sent me new ones each time until asking if I wanted to wait until they repressed a bunch, its why I still preordered the boxset for this one, figure if its total garbage pressing (mastering aside) I can just ask for new copies.

>$130 for a box with a record and a cassette

KEK

Fuck, I wish I wasn't 10 dollars in debt. At least the CD is cheap. I also have the asmp deluxe edition so I'll feel at least somewhat satisfied
