The atmosphere and the gameplay are top notch. The little things about the game just make it that much better. You walk slightly slower in cobwebs, you have to charge your flashlight, replace your filters, and wipe your gasmask. Just little things like that really add to a tense moment. Not to mention all the noises, and ambient sounds you hear in the tunnels, plus at any stations just listening to conversations on the side and looking at how people interact.
It's just overall a work of art.
