idk what to do with myself

crossdressing will always be one of the most fun hobbies

how does crossdressing as a hobby work
do you do it in your room by yourself?

moody and reserved

it's a huge financial black hole but by god is it fun. I could spend 12 hours a day changing into and out of different outfits and just prancing around the house listening to music full blast

I do, though sometimes I take walks at night, and I'd love to work up the courage to go out and do something dressed up. but yeah mostly it's staying home, feeling pretty and occasionally taking pictures

My nigga

Would hang out with you too

pretty much yeah

i wish i was anywhere near brave enough to go out dressed up

would love to experiment more but no money and still living with parents and they don't know so I just have to hide a few old clothes around the house dressing up when i get the house to myself

its killing me having to keep this in secret and not being girly enough

I'd hang out with you fuckers

I chose it because I really don't have a favorite, but TMR is definitely in my top 5.

For one, it gives me this vibe that I can't get from anywhere else. I guess you need to get into the album before you can understand what I mean, and I know this explanation is gonna be very poor, but just the raw power and energy I get from TMR is really unique and unmatched. Like the other day I listened to about half of the album and felt like putting something else on, so I switched to Unknown Pleasures and the intro beat actually threw me off because it was so.... idk 4/4 and hypnotic. The point of TMR is to be anti-hypnotic, like how 4/4 songs usually have a consistent rhythm or pace so you can bob your head to it and tune out. With TMR its just not like that at all.

If you're having a hard time trying to get into the album, then my suggestion is to try listening to Moonlight on Vermont on headphones, but with only one ear in so you can exclusively hear whats happening with each instrument. The guitars for most songs, including Moonlight, consist of repeated riffs and ideas that each have their own flavour.

youtube.com/watch?v=-FhhB9teHqU

This video is cringe as fuck, but you can easily do the same thing with Frownland if you fast forward to where he plays each guitar melody separately and you can actually see exactly how each instrument plays off of one another. The reason I think Moonlight is a great place to start is because it's the most accessible and IMO also the best song on the record. Once I realized that there were 2 guitars playing in the intro, and I listened out of each ear, and then on top of the drums I just lose my shit hearing it now.

A lot of user's say that the point of the album is to be cacophonous and to pleasantly confuse the listener, but I find that with repeated listens and attention to detail the album has WAY more to offer than that.

fellow running buddy, nice

pretty interesting, do you do the trivia competitions with a team at your uni?

very cool dude, would hang out with and talk about animals

i feel like just saying videogames/reading/films is kinda lame, you should mention some that you like or your favorite genre

i like the pic, that is all

i see this album posted a lot, what genre is it? (i don't really trust wikipedia since it usually says something generic or wrong entirely)

It's Ambient Black metal. It's very calming to listen to.

>pretty interesting, do you do the trivia competitions with a team at your uni?
It's a high school competition, but it is team-based. Check it out: youtube.com/watch?v=Wt80zLcgWGk

oh cool, i'll make sure to listen to that soon

This is an unreasonable amount of obscure facts for a high school kid to know.

>This is an unreasonable amount of obscure facts for a high school kid to know.
It's a good time

okay, well:
For vidya I really don't have a favorite genre but I love Metal Gear Solid, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Uncharted and been really into Overwatch lately, but really I like anything in vidya as long as I can kill a few hours.

Favorite genre of film might be noir, and my favorite film has to either be Blade Runner or Taxi Driver which is semi-noir in it's tone. Also really like psychological thrillers, something like The Gift that came out a couple of years ago.

I like to read mostly "classic" books like 1984, Fahrenheit, Catch 22, but I also really enjoy reading philosophy books like Meditations or things semi related to that. For example right now I'm reading The Complete Works by Michel de Montaigne, who basically invented the essay by himself. Good stuff. Also I like reading and watching a lot of historical stuff specially medieval history.

Anyways I think that should cover it I guess.

Unreasonable does not mean bad, the way the contestants and the judge are cracking jokes at each other seems pretty fun.
I felt the same way about vidya for a while but once you find that niche of games you feel weird playing anything else for too long. My niche is tf2, for some reason I cannot stop playing.

I'm into some similar films, never heard of The Gift so I might check it out.

You would probably fit right in at /lit/, I've never frequented the place but I remember seeing some of the books you mentioned.

Big Star - Radio City
Weed - Born Wrong Love
Grilling

/lit/ would fucking crucify him. his "classics" are high school required reading and his philosophy of choice is the journal of a gay roman.

The Gift is pretty great, I believe it's from 2015. Great mystery at the center of the film. Also another recent favorite of mine is Birdman, the camera work on that film is 10/10 and the humor is mostly dry and dead pan that I can't help but laugh every time.

I've been to /lit/ a few times, they are actually less pretentious and less about the whole "obscure means it's great" mentality that plagues most boards like Sup Forums and Sup Forums sometimes. But I just read so slow that I only need a rec every few months or so lmao
