The incredibly grinding group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts finally ends tonight in Wolverhampton. With groups B and F having no guaranteed eliminated nor qualified players yet, we're surely in for a far more exciting session than last night's shambles.
In Group B, dancing Belgian youngster Dimitri Van den Bergh has to win his match against Yorkshire carpenter and two time Lakeside champion Scott Waites to stand any chance of advancing, but a big win for Scotty could see him progress ahead of DVdB and Welsh rugby roidlet Gerwyn Price, especially if Robert Thornton re-imagines the Iceman as his wife and gives him a pounding.
Over in Group F, Stockport powder boy Nathan Aspinall is all but eliminated and will have to win 5-0 against the fellow youngster from the Netherlands Danny Noppert to even stay in contention. If Noppie gets a victory, it will pile the pressure on everyone's favourite Serbo-Austrian Mensur Suljovic against an in-form Raymond van Barneveld and the Gentle must win big if he is to progress.
In Groups C and G, the situations are far more simple straight shoot-outs with a good guy derby in C as Aussie Simon Whitlock faces Canuck Jeff Smith to join Peter Wright in the Last 16, while it's another James battle in G with former BDO number 1 James Wilson against Tipton dimwit Jamie Hughes in order to progress alongside James Wade.

Started playing with unicorn eclipse pro boards, because they were 1 Euro cheaper than the blade. I couldn't believe the difference when I first switched to blade4. I don't know if those new unicorn boards they are playing are any better.

To be honest they've been making it up as they go along because they've been saying 9 dart shootouts don't matter because they're using head to head and viice versa and I'm amazed this is being run so poorly for a PDC event.
