2nd for ricci win

After reading and listening to enough people, there's this one weird thing about Verstappen's drive in Brazil that I still can't wrap my head around:

How did people not see it coming? I was unimpressed by it because it was so easy to see coming. Every single one of his overtakes was predictable, all the way down to his lines and overtaking spots. He was on 30+-lap fresher wet tyres, which degrade just fine, in a car that, in wet conditions, is at least up there with the Mercedes, and on a track where it was already not very difficult to overtake at all.

The only thing that surprised me, if anything, was Ricciardo's helmet fogging up. That's the first time I've heard that happen since Lorenzo in MotoGP not long ago. So why are people making it sound like it was such an amazing thing to see? He would've easily finished second with a largely anonymous drive if Red Bull hadn't repeatedly fucked up their strategy for both drivers.

This photo really highlights Valteri's autism.

You could've at least tried to prove me wrong

i was gonna make it but the autistic german had to go make a shit one of course.

It's the smile, it is distinctly autistic.

Do I like Ricciardo because he is Australian? or do I like Ricciardo because he is just a likeable driver? which one is it guys?

BTFO

Probably the latter. I don't really like him because his on-track antics get on my nerves, but off-track he's genuine and a good lad. He's easy to like.

>2017 Renault 'looks awesome, feels quick'
Just reading Palmer's words I hear his boring voice and I feel sleepy again. God I hate that guy. I was so happy when I thought he was to be dropped.

>STILL no whenisf1on or f1calendar link in the OP

lmao'ing @ u

nobody uses those one week before

Gonna watch TGT now, half a bottle of rum down, half a bottle to go.

Can you tell this is my favourite gif yet?

Also, lol @ motorsport manager pitstop with 0.00 fuel left

>OP is still shit
What did he mean by this?

What do you mean by on track antics? is that like
>my time
>rosberg is a mofo
>garbled australian breathing into radio

just curious.

literally over a week till race. shit thread.

I am going to base Hulkenburgers career to Jenson Buttons, and you tell me if this is mere coincidence.

Jenson spends 2000 - 2006 in midfield / decent cars.

Hulkenburger spends 2010-2016 in midfield / decent cars.

7 seasons each in good cars? lets go on.

Button spends 2007/2008 in shitbox Hondas

Hulkenburger will spend 2017/2018 in shitbox Renaults

2 seasons at the back at the same point in their careers? hmm.

2019 (at the current pace) will see rule changes much like in 2009 to shake up the field. Hulkenberg will win in 2019. Hulkenbergs careers is basically Buttons +10yrs

Place all bets now.

really nice move from nats to let her son spend some time with his real father

He divebombs too much and is generally too aggressive. That'd be fine if he was penalized for his idiocy a bit more, but the stewards often don't care. Spain's a good example.

He's like a perennially wrong version of Massa.

Make me ruminate

Yeah, I thought he was a bit too adventurous in Mexico on Vettel tbf, should have waited to get closer.

>keeping your computer right next to your stove and kitchen

y tho

Only one problem: pic related

Button already had like 15 podiums before 2009.

If you cook it's nice to have a kitchen computer to play music or watch stuff.

All-time pole positions:

>Schumacher 68
>Hamilton 60

Fug.

Where can I watch f1 replays, from past seasons aswell.

Schumacher was never a top tier qualifier. Hakkinen and Senna were both considerably better at that.

But Hülkenberg will win two WDCs in a row.

Maybe in WEC

I feel like you can probably do that a lot easier with a tablet though. Less space too. Pinkham needs to step it up desu

comparing teammates on qualifyings was harder back then because in many seasons they had to set their quali lap with fuel
in 2012 43 year old Schumacher tied with Rosberg, who two seasons later would outqualify Hamilton, in qualifying

after he finished his career in F1 after 2 WDCs, yes

Kek @ 1:50 fuck Vettel

Really toothpastes, really.

I wish I could go to something like this

>mfw watching f1 alone

I would hate this. Maybe group of 10 people at maximum, room full of slightly drunk old people. No thank you.

No. Here is better.

Considering most races are early morning or late at night, watching by myself is best. I'm a cunt in the morning

Will RedBull's engine have enough horsepower to compete with Mercedes next year?

Depends how much room to improve there is on the merc engine. Renault isn't too far behind right now in all honesty but they have been trying pretty hard to catch up

Yes.

I'd ride that

Yes. But they won't have enough aero.

Who is going to be champion first? Ricciardo or amx?

strawpoll.me/11683131

Neither. 4 more years of MWL.

This absolutely beautiful. Couldn't McLelren do something like this since they have >no sponsors?

>“We've got the same thing inside [the company],” he said. “You've got people who say 'Why don't we make it orange?' and I say, 'Why?'

>“'That was the old color of McLaren.' 'Well yeah you just said it, why the hell do we want to go backwards?' Then what do you do? Do you create an aesthetically pleasing design? For what purpose do you produce an aesthetically pleasing design?

>“This is the livery of McLaren, it's always been a combination of these colors, and it will only change for commercial reasons, it wont change just to make a few people in the company happier because they want it orange, or they want it yellow. We tried to put a bit more of our real color, which is dayglow.

Thoughts on TGT's test track?
Its called the Eboladrome and there's a section that's all cracked up and has grass growing out of it.

Also this turn is actually like this, because "an unexploded bomb from WW2" was under the original corner

Maybe now that Ron's autism is gone McLaren can give up the exciting, predatory grey and move on to an actually good looking livery.

Also they might get good

wogs arent australian m8,

he's just likeable

I like him because we grew up two sububrs apart (him in Duncraig, me in Hillarys) and because he's just a mega likable guy and very fast racer.

just ate the best fuckin kebab lads which got me thinking;

lads, whats your favoured pre-race meal? is it a works doner like me or perhaps a nice sunday roast or are you one for simple snacks like crisps or peanuts before a grand prix.

Whose watching Macau?

Bread, Balsamic and Olive Oil and some sorta alcohol

Considering most of the euro races are on late I like a nice cup of Milo and maybe a bit of fruitcake on the side

pretty comfy desu

>Its called the Eboladrome
Never change, Clarkson

Why not just do a rolling start?

Wouldn't that be pointless at Macao though because the run to there's, like, 2km of strraights before the first braking zone, so they'll be heading into there flatout regardless?

Yeah but they won't be as bunched up.

>Sixthquist

>Those graphics

Why do F3 cars sound like they're running on 3 cylinders, with a holey muffler?

This stream might show the bike race in less than an hour.

Best chance to see someone get killed.

absolutely crazy that bikes still race at macao

how many have been killed over the years?

Bike race just about to start

This is a pretty good race

>Why do F3 cars sound like they're running on 3 cylinders,

Makes perfect sense to me.

Someone has to

Makes perfect sense to me.

When Pedro Rodriguez won the 1967 Sith Ifrican Grand Prix, the organisers didn't have a copy of the Mexican anthem to play, so instead they played the Mexican Hat Dance.

It's probably impossible, but imagine the hilarity if that happened today.

>F5000
>5000 cylinders
>F5000 cylinders

And this is why F5000 was always the best feeder series to watch

yes, follows the basic principle of moar cilindars = better

I like how there is dip for odd numbered cylinders.

Although I guess a W9 could work.

3 cylinder is where it is at #fuelefficienttowncar

If that Swede gets bored today he could watch Marcus' youngest brother, Hampus, compete in karting.

cikfia.tv/live-tv.html

Yes I am that bored.

>Rosenqvist
At least Eriksson gained a few positions. Don't know if that was due to the crash though.

Appreciate it, unfortunately I'm home visiting family. About to go help my mom assemble furniture.

*sigh*
