seeking rappers/singers, DM me if interested!
like those vocal effects, your rap voice is good, the drums feel like they need more punch, would vary from that vocal sample you use, but I definitely see the potential in this. some of the better noise hop I've seen in these threads
recommendations
some of the better sampling material I've heard for chopped and screwed, but some more delay and a bit less bass would help to establish the atmosphere a lot more IMO
Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind with my next project. I like your use of classical samples, though the soundcloud track could be just as good without the high pitched ringing.
at the time this was made i exclusively made music digitally, i play guitar and i got an amplifier, now i'm a singer songwriter actually, if you wanted to hear guitar you can check out that second link
also i listened to one of your tracks dude, it was pretty nice honestly, one critique i have is that the stereo could use more dynamics, it doesn't all come together as much as it does pass through really pleasantly, maybe that's one of the trademark qualities of "shoegaze" though
alternative rap, a nine track tape of my work from last year. will be releasing another nine track tape within the month that i think is a solid improvement.
>I am new to mastering, but I am making progress. >My tracks aren't as loud as some releases, but I find my songs less fatiguing. >This rapper that I produce and I are about to embark on an electronic hip-hop project
listening 2 trusty dude, its really cool, spacey and ephemeral but very listenable at the same time, enjoying the art work and stuff as well man feels orignal in a very unorginal world. If u weren't joking in ur bio you should def do a triple cd, i think if done well could turn some headz! x balloon song is real epic man, obvs got that microphones vibe which is rad all the ambient sounds are dope and the actual songwriting is killer big! this is really beautiful man some really good choices of sounds and textures etc
youtube.com/watch?v=0U2wAtYBrgI here's a video that my band put out yesterday >weed-adled-pavement, noisy/melodic/ big searing guitars
I feel like a little more dynamics and maybe some tasteful clean lead would brighten this song up a bit, but I really like the lyrics
Uma Vibrinota Pífana Assoprou is something fresh, I listened to a few other tracks and they just felt like treading water, but that ones is a big star, some really good but ambient vocals in certain places would make that pop, like dueting female and male vocals.
I'd see if you could isolate the phase on the drums to make them invisible then put in your own preferably recorded live it would make all the difference but the voice chopping is nice
Never heard drums like this, crackley but not in an erosive way. I think a very predominant melodic explosive guitar line would just open this song up with a synth counterpointing it
I feel like your knowledge of you hitting your own notes instead of everyone elses makes you afraid to sing with real soul power. Scream it out it sounds less harsh on tape if you keep the mic levels down.
What happens when a bunch of dudes who've been playing music for years sit around all day playing music with no real intention of sticking to any one genre, staring at walls we painted murals on and entertaining the neighborhood kids as loud as possible spend all their money on rock and roll gear, recording equipment, and electric kool-aid and spend all summer recording hours of jams with all sorts of musicians from the Chicago music scene and picking out the peak transcendental moments and also writing songs that feel almost mystically delivered then spend winter recording and compiling those into an album?
It's Redeys! By Mr. Marmalade and the Heavy Functions.
If you like beats literally made from a doorbell, marbles, a rolling pin and a milk bottle (and some guitar) then you have pretty fucking weird taste but this is for you.

This is fucking cool man, only issue is drums need to be heavier sounding though and need more reverb kinda sounds a bit flat like in comparison to some parts, kinda clashes a bit with the sampling at times.
