>stormtroopers
duh

The Empire was always Space Nazis really

The OT Empire were Nazis in the way the Nazis thought they were going to be like

TFA First Order is what they were actually like

a galaxy far far away is actually hell

well George Lucas did base a lot of the 1977 Star Wars cockpit falcon scenes fighting Tie fighters from WW2 footage of plane fights.

The Empire is the United States if it turned into a fascists dictatorship. The Emperor was originally based on Nixon.

The First Order is meant to be like modern-day Neo-Nazis, ISIS and authoritarian politicians like Trump.

Of course not, where did you get that impression from?

0/10

>"Hmmm. How do I get across to the audience that there's no moral ambiguity whatsoever in this?"
>"Say no more bruh"

>The First Order is meant to be like modern-day Neo-Nazis, ISIS and authoritarian politicians like Trump.
This is groupthink elevated to the level of genius.

Are there litterers, communists, and people who talk loudly on their phones somewhere in that plausible alliance of people you don't like?

Not really.

post more images. It always fascinated me with how many people there were in Germany (or I assume millions traveled to Germany across Europe to see Hitler in pre WW2 deliver his speeches).

The Empire in the OT was pretty similar yeah

In TFA if you watch the extended edition they literally splice the Empire speech footage with one of Hitler's speeches

The parallels with Neo-Nazis were obvious from the first trailer, and it's fairly obvious with the young men pretending to revive an old authoritarian regime.

The radical Islam parallels are less obvious, but if you pay attention you can notice that the First Order is also a religious cult unlike the Empire which was mostly a secular organization.

Also, J. J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan are Jews.

The Empire was always meant to be an attack on Republicans from day one. George Lucas compared The Emperor with Nixon, and the prequels were obviously making reference to the Bush Administration.

Only one I had saved from an earlier Sup Forums thread

Either he is or you are equating ISIS, Trump, and Hitler.
Leave that logic to tumblr girls.

So you need to hate the Nazis but liking the Empire and dressing like stormtroopers is OK.

Well alright then.

Fuck man you guys don't even feel ashamed anymore for being Sup Forumsfags.

I am surprised not many dress up as Nazis on Halloween or at Comicon.

Those Nazi uniforms are amazing as an outfit!

his lightsaber is a burning cross

>how many people there were in Germany

It's just a full stadium.

>It's just a full stadium.
I wasn't referring to that image. I am referring to images like this which show millions upon millions of people.

Incredibly amazing.

I can't believe that everyone in Germany went out together like that.

This is the Cathedral of Light, you can google it for more shots. It's pretty rad, it was designed by Albert Speer and uses anti aircraft spotlights. /wank

>Leave that logic

Well Drumpf fans are certainly not fond of logic.

There is not a single thing wrong with anything he said in that picture.

It was to showcase volkisch unity under National Socialism.

Didn't know Trump was that based, he just gained a vote, brah!

Reminder.

As a asian fuck yeah about that mix race shit. Fucking mix fuck trying to impersonate asian when they look 90% white. Fuck that shit to hell.

wtf I hate Trump now

yes, they are right

>The OT Empire
OT felt more like the British Navy

/trash/

They are the spirits of people from diffrent countries who have been right

>ISIS and authoritarian politicians like Trump.
go fuck yourself with a rusty nail

>George Lucas
that man had no subtlety. deregulating banks was straight from the headlines

well you would not want to be denounced for staying at home.I mean do you hate Germany or something?

just google nuremberg rally and you'll find loads of pictures

>those fucking steel helmets

>keeps Hitler's speeches by his bed
>still has the vocabulary and grammar of a 13 year old

1.I too have read hitlers stuff. how would you know if you disagree with a men if you don't know what he said? ex wife, yeah Im sure that is not a bitter source.
2.illegal immigrants being the key word
3. beauty queens. well he is right.
4.blacks being source of all crime. again correct.its due to poverty and poor education, its not genetic or some shit like that but the fact that they do those crimes is undeniable
5.syrian refuges. use has like 200 of them , I don't care 1 way or the other.
6. yeah if derek is not going to love himself than no one will. being self deprecating is not how you get far in business.
7.anyone who says there is no Muslim problem is a deluded cuck who will appease himself into an early grave

are you ready for your new queen of love and beauty?

>there's a Muslim problem
>so I'm going to send refugees back to those countries, disenfranchised with the West so they can work in Isis rather than be productive here

BRAVO

>I too have read hitlers stuff
We all know.
You are the creepy guy.

Too much for your reading ability?

Israel

I still mad at how non-existent world-building is in TFA.

What's the relationship between Resistance and Republic? Is Republic cultivating plausible deniability, if so, why? What is First Order? Why Order?

Original trilogy had barebones worldbuilding, but it was clear in its terms. There's Empire and there's Rebels. Empire rules galaxy, rebels want to make it stop rule galaxy. All clear.

This. I really have come to appreciate TFA as a great idea of an Episode 7 Star Wars film... BUT the way JJ made TFA is just terrible. Absolutely terrible directing story wise.

Why is there so many plotholes such as the ones you stated?

>Rey: "Why do you have Luke's lightsaber?"
>Maz: "That is a question for another time."
Oh fuck off

They had to play it safe.
This was essentially damage control after the prequels.

Playing it safe or not (Although amount of playing it safe triggers traumatic flashbacks to Fallout 3) I don't really care.

Why are names so unclear, and why for a franchise famous for its exposition crawl they explained nothing. Why is Resistance Resistance and not some taskforce?

And they were really unsubtle and clumsy at their destruction of original trilogy.

Basically the mission statement was to convince people "This is the old star wars you love and are willing to spend money on." "This is not the new star wars"
So they had to hit the same beats.
The problem is that the original trilogy was essentially about underdog rebels beating the big ruling empire. But they won.
So now they kinda hat to downgrade them so they are the underdogs again.
Again the main point of this very first movie was to convince people that "Star Wars is back"

>muslims
>productive

First order is not an Empire, bro.

General Hux's speech was the best scene in the movie

Bottom right? He just denies that there is such a thing as white trash and doesnt even let the guy defend himself. Thinking that whites are better than other races is a (racist) opinion, but its just an opinion. Thinking that all whites are better than all blacks/mexicans/whatever is just plain delusional and stupid.

The Empire is an allegory for empires in general. Which is why they have nazi-like uniforms, British accents, Soviet giantism, and a backstory that resembles the transition of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire.

The "First Order" though is definitely just Nazis.

>Star Wars creator George Lucas sought to make the Galactic Empire aesthetically and thematically similar to Nazi Germany and to appear to be fascist.[2]
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galactic_Empire_(Star_Wars)#Themes

Why are Sup Forums neckbeards not only so easily triggered, but always so incorrect?

>the prequels were obviously making reference to the Bush Administration.
It's an obvious Roman history parallel, why bring Bush into this?

Looking at Trump's own "speeches", he didn't learn any lessons from that Hitler book.

>Hitler speeches
No blamimg here, that guy knew how to make speeches.

Do note that pic related is back from the "Roman Republic" days, before the Declaration of New Order.

Marx was the original neckbeard edgelord

the cool table indeed

Empire = Nazi's is incredibly blatant in the OT

It's even more blatant in the EU pre-Disney. The Empire's symbol was something Palpatine stole from the Bendu's (space Buddhists), mirroring how Hitler stole the swaztika from Hindu's.

Star Wars was inspired by WWII movies. So yes the Empire was most directly modeled after the Nazis. But it resembles the US more than Germany.

>, and a backstory that resembles the transition of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire.

Adding to this that Palpatine's rise to power is basically a combination of Caesar+Hitler, both of which are similar. Both took democratic republics, and under the guise of false threat, gave themselves autocratic powers.

Palpatine is a latin word which was the central hill of Rome or something. Pottery and all that.

>wave your arms like a mad man and shout at the top of your voice

Hmmm

...

Looking back on TFA I just see so much wrong with it

>Poe quipping with dark evil mind wizard after he just watched his village get burned to the ground, everyone murdered and his old friend fucking decapitated
>Finn butchering his former allies while yelling WOO! 5 seconds after turncoating
>Pretty much everything that happened on Han's new ship
>The entirety of Maz Kanatas character
>Rey being too perfect. I actually think she is so competent she puts a shadow over every other supporting character and villian
>Poe. He was barely in the fucking movie. Why?
>Constant shoehorning of characters and references in out of place scenarios. Oh hey theres c3po! Wow the chessboard just like in that other movie!
>Adolph Hitler empire speech that served LITERALLY no purpose in the movie other than to remind the audience that World War 2 happened
>the whole map to Luke plot is stupid and doesn't make sense
>the whole squad being emotional at Han's death even though they met literally like less then a day ago. They were only emotional because a character in a long running movie franchise died, not because it made sense for them to cry in the movie
>Kylo losing the final fight. He should have fucking slammed Finn into the nearest tree as soon as he picked up a lightsaber. He should have overpowered the complete rookie that is Rey. Also ,no, him being hurt or emotionally compromised is not a reason for him to lose the fight.
>literally another Death Star plot. Also they blew up like 3 planets instead of one because the big bad guy device is biggerer then the last one. Lazy as fuck.

Among other things I probably forgot

There are some good things in the movie though. I thought Kylo Ren was actually a well written character. I also thought Finn was a cool idea, even if he wasn't used very well...Poe could have also been great but he just wasn't in the movie really.

Maybe don't call people trash.

"Black trash" would not go over well with anyone. Actually saying "white trash" is racist because it implies that whites are supposed to be better than that.

You seem to hold a cartoonist caricature of the man in your mind.

>Party that united war-torn country and raised it from it's ashes
>T-they we're o-obviously f-fo-forced by ebil nazis to pay tribute!1

>Poe. He was barely in the fucking movie. Why?

I'm pretty sure they were originally gonna kill him off when the ship crashes on Jakku, can't remember why. That's why he disappears then shows up again later.

You're a fucking retard if you think any of those pictures have millions of people.

It's just a rally back in a time where TV, video games and all that other shit wasn't a thing.

10/10

My favourite part of the movie is how one woman, in the rank of captain could turn off the planetary shield and nobody noticed.

I never knew planets were so close together....really makes you think huh?

Damn, really makes you think.

If they have families then definitely

>ISIS
>Trump
>The same

Is a muslim family called a bomb squad?

damn, i would give everything to f*** her throat

The military force depicted in OP's picture is not the Empire, but the First Order.

>Poe quipping with dark evil mind wizard after he just watched his village get burned to the ground, everyone murdered and his old friend fucking decapitated
It's not his village, he barely knows the old guy. The title sequence says Leia sent him there to get the piece of the map.

till that scene i kinda liked the movie, but then it made me really WTF and broke my immersion. what on earth were they thinking?

There's nothing shameful about the truth. Lying to others makes you a typical liberal; lying to yourself makes you a fool.

It'd still be out of character

It came across as lame and forced humor when the situation didn't at all call for it

You don't make you character a quip machine when you are basically about to get mind raped by the super powered villain. Especially after some seriously traumatic shit just happened

The complete movie is garbage.

That's not even close to a million people. 250k tops.

>everyone immediately brushes off the death of literally every single thing on 4 entire planets
>it is never mentioned again and nobody really reacts to this

WHY EVEN BLOW THEM UP IN YOUR MOVIE?

TO ESTABLISH STAR KILLER BASE AS A THREAT???? WHAT???

>have plans for a thing called the Death Star
>seems pretty efficient enough for what it does
>nah fuck that instead decide to make a BIGGER Death Star that requires you to eat entire suns while being noticeably larger and probably much harder and more time-consuming to build, all while providing barely any more defensive protection
>the only pay off for building this monstrosity is you get SICK MULTI-KILLS

>requires you to eat suns to fire

Is this the stupidest design decision ever?

>blow up some planets
>reload
>ignoring the implications of destroying the sun will pretty much ending all life on the planets you were shooting at anyway, and also on the surface of the Star Killer
>blow up some more planets
>need to move the entire planet sized station to an entirely different galaxy just to get more sun juice to threaten more planets

Seems like a mild oversight

So how many planets did they blow up with each death star?

To get rid of Republic.

...

>To get rid of Republic
>By blowing up one (1) star system
>To get rid of a military force which's size was never established
>This, because of an off hand comment in the movie about how this one attack has crippled the Republic fleet. The same fleet which is supposed to police the entire galaxy.

That's like blowing up the Pentagon, and expecting that the entirety of the US Army to keel over and start sucking its thumb in the fetal position.

No one is "trash", faggot.

Well every time they build a single machine to attack it gets destroyed. At this point they are going for one big blast because they now some diverse group of rebels filled with different character tropes is going to blow it up somehow.

It's significantly longer ranged than the Death Star, which is also pretty stupid when you consider that means it also has to shoot a beam through hyperspace, a technology that would be better used in almost literally any other way if they had, or taken years to hit its target, but it's hardly the most stupid thing in the franchise.
