Yes if they set it in a different kalpa that had no relation to the games.

Kalpa?

Cycle of time and existence.

Basically all of existence ends and is reborn different.

>tfw you will never see the battle of red mountain depicted in IMAX

>wanting to see Nerevar stab Ur in the back then get stabbed in the back himself by a hermaphrodite, beta and slut.

No but an anime would be great.

Let Snyder direct it. He'd get all the symbolism right

Ah yes but of course. I would agree that leaving any association with game plot lines left out would be a good thing. Perhaps the subtle reference to game story lines hear and there wouldnt be too bad though.

An Anime classifies as a series does it not?

Depends which game.
Morrowind would be more original, memorable and intellectual if done right, but I doubt studios would take the risk with such a surreal, alien world.

You couldn't adapt Morrowind or Daggerfall and do it justice. Way too much packed into them that wouldn't and couldn't be translated over to film or a series.

theres nothing hard in making a TES movie, just imagine pan's labyrinth but with even cooler creature designs and deeper lore

Probably a netflix or HBO series. For Morrowind alone there would be a lot to cover. The War, The Battle of Red Mountain, Dagoth going nutty, Nerevar being betrayed, and The Rise of the Tribunal alone would be a series in itself. Then the Nerevarine, investigation of the Sixth House, the unification of the ashland tribes, and the last battle with Dagoth. Assuming you even cut out Mournhold there's still a shitload to cover.

Also, brb downloading Morrowind again.

Oblivion and Skyrim would be more adaptable to film. Assuming they're like 3 hours movies.

lmao so many virgins ITT

Oblivion and Skyrim are generic high fantasy so they'd be easy to do sure.

>special snowflake is charged by the emperors lackeys to uncover the conspiracy that cost the emperor his life, stop an invasion by demons and find his heir
>special snowflake with a dragon soul has to stop an immortal dragon from ending the world again

Fun

What''s Morrowind about?

A guy that is charged by the emperor to find out the truth about a growing cult.

The beauty of Morrowind and Daggerfall is that you're not a special snowflake when you start.

Oh you

Um, in Morrowind you are literally Dunmer Jesus, Nerevar incarnate.

The emperor has you pardoned of whatever crimes and has you work with the blades right when you begin morrowind, because he thinks you meet the requirements for the local prophecy

Oblivion you really could have been placed in any other cell and that would have been the end of your player's story. Baurus and co could just take over most of what the pc ended up doing in the mq

Nope. You become nerevar when you mantle him.
Until that point you're not nerevar and have nothing special about you besides fitting the description of someone in a prophecy.

But only if you go through the main quest.

Where's that pic from user?

That would be pretty cool actually. A small team of blades going undercover and leading small teams into gates to shut them down.

Hell this would be the perfect role for Idris Elba

Fuck off weeboo

Both of these apply to Oblivion as well.

You are a nobody who witnesses the Emperor's murder, if you don't do the main quest you can just toss the amulet in the river.

And in Morrowind it's unclear whether you are actually Nerevar incarnate or you "become him" through your actions.
