>song fades out 5 times

youtube.com/watch?v=WVE90vGS9ps

>song fades out
>album goes on
>song fades back in at a later point

what albums do this?

i don't remember ;_;

Exchange on Mezzanine?

...

HELTA SKELTA

>song fades out
>track ends
>a new song fades in, but it sounds exactly the same as the last song

The Dark Side of the Moon does this with the song Breathe.

>song fades out
>faint vocals appear in background

Yes - Fragile

are you talking about the melody from breathe coming in at the end of time?

>song fades out
>only drums is left

ISOLATION
ISOLATIOOOON

Yeah

isolation doesn't do that

>Song fades out
>Suddenly starts back up without a fade

illustrate this concept

Spiritualized - Cop Shoot Cop

Mr. Bungle - Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz

yes it does theres a big burst of noise at the end before passover starts

>now that i have dissapeared...

oh right

it only comes back in for like 3 seconds tho

agreed

Any Colour You Like is also a reprise of Breathe.

i didn't even know this until a while ago when i found out they used the same bass track
roger wasn't even there when they recorded it

are you sure? The bassline is very Waters-like.

But yea, the song is just Breathe transposed two halfsteps down, with a little funkier edge to it. I think the ending gives it away, it's really easy to sing the Breathe's chorus to it.

Did any song do this ever before Helter Skelter?

>Song fades out and back in
>Lyrics reference the fact it faded out

>he listens to Helter Skelter in stereo

what song does this and why

>artist dies during album

I WANT TO HEAR THIS

yeah me too, I post it in every one of these threads hoping that someone posts and example

that reaction pic made me laugh so hard

Brand New's Jesus Christ does this and it's real nice live.

Frances the Mute

I'VE GOT BLISTAS ON ME FINGAS!!!!

>track abruptly ends at the peak it slowly build up, leaving you in a trembling state as you witness pure silence

>song fades in
>fades out with in first few seconds
>fades back in again
>mfw

Groove armada - dusk you and me

Stone Roses?

The other three replies, also:

(What's the Story) Morning Glory?

Strawberry Fields Forever

SHE'S SO HEAAAVYYYYYYY

It's called a reprise, jackass.

youtube.com/watch?v=LSniBxXjK_8

no it isn't retard

>Riff at end of Century I (2003)
>leads into Century II (2005)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reprise

Eat shit, retarded jackass.

>the repetition or reiteration of the opening material later in a composition
vs
>song fades out
>fades back in

literally two different things
go be retarded somewhere else

I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS

King Crimson does this often and it's glorious. Fracture, Devil's Triangle, and of course Court of the Crimson King.

She Just Won't Believe Me

God I wish that was a full song

Yep, and reprise refers to both.

Good job reading the wiki link, btw.

The Glow Pt. 2?

what stone roses song sounds exactly the same?

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

Roni Size - New Forms
youtube.com/watch?v=hFiAK4fD6Mk

...

by your logic a couple consecutive measures of the same notes is a reprise as long as there's a change in volume

this is a reprise

this: youtube.com/watch?v=C906lbkcYug is not

go find a different board to post on because you clearly do not belong here

>band stops playing for a second and then starts playing again

the glow pt 2, riff of first track shows up on last track

If Deafheaven ended Brought to the Water correctly, it would be one of the best metal songs of all time.

Seconded.

I remember the whole thread when this was released and it was all about the lackluster ending

AIN'T GONNA WORK
FOR NO SOUL SUCKIN JERK

Best example of it please friend?

>song has a 4 second pause
>they play it live
>pause happens
>crowd already starts clapping & cheering because they assumed the song was over

how can Josh be so based

That annoys the fuck out of me on the opeth lamentations dvd during A Fair Judgement.
>Haha Nu-male beta opeth haha

>you think the song's over
>then Andre and Big Boi dig into their goat verses

This so hard.

no, like literally the artist actually dies while recording the album and its on the album

also Im pretty sure the guy in the glow part 2 lives

the riff of the first track also shows up in the next album

ENJOY THE SILENCE

>artist calls back to lyrics from previous albums
>artist samples material from previous albums

youtu.be/Ga3I5DTIA-E

desert sessions 1 & 2

Yeah the piano was shit.

>the call back to phil e's previous songs on a crow looked at me

wow

Fall's Bend Sinister

>everyone stops playing
>drummer comes back doing a snare solo

>instruments stop
>voice goes on still

The Death of Quickspace. Literally the first thing that happens on the album.

>voice goes on
>sudden silence
>instruments come back at full force

>the little bits and pieces of other songs on the album you can faintly hear in the background of My Warm Blood

>song fades out AND ends properly

>song fades to black

>song fades out
>wicked attempt at a dnb breakdown starts at the speed of light
if only it had worked

the only album i can think of is the last queen album with fredie mercury.
