why does this just sound like Strawberry Fields Forever?
John Fahey gets pretty close, he makes an acoustic guitar sound like an orchestra.
Orchestrated Psychedelia
Burzum Influenced Atmospheric Depressive Black Metal
Nick Drake achieves this in a more subdued way.
Microphones specifically the Moon i believe has an intro like what you described.
But damn out of all these random genre mashes im hungry for this one.
Glitch pop with fuzzy/noisy guitars
(I've already heard VDC)
cLOUDDEAD, but as a rock album. Like with dreamy odd ambient sound collages and shit. I've already heard Faust
I'm not sure how specific I can be, but I would like to hear anything even remotely similar to this album:

I think they invented a new subgenre of music. Industrial progressive glitch jazz fusion? Either way, that's what happens when you play with Robert Fripp.
i am sitting in a room
American football is basically math pop.
have you heard Ground-Zero - Revolutionary Pekinese Opera v.1.28?

Lol pretty sure talk talk's last studio album is that.
Moonman
Flaming lips - the Gash.
lmao
seefeel - quique
just as essential as vdc for electronic shoegaze. Not glitchy, but still .

Mars Volta - Tremulant
lil ep, sometimes distorted vocals, lil electronic in there. Hope u like
I'll second this. Eternally under the radar but very good.
Here's something close to dream country! Not this song in particular, but a lot of the album
youtube.com
I've heard a little of Quique. Good stuff but not totally what I'm looking for
I want to hear something that does it without being shoegaze
Classical Punk
Punk with like violins and shit, but not Irish
Sung Tongs, Contact High With the Godz and that one Sonic Youth song
More fast-paced and noisy post punk like Mission of Burma or early Bloc Party. New Order has some killer ones too but the mid-tempo dance ones aren't as much what I'm looking for.
Wipers are also 11/10
Person who suggested Seefeel here, try
Cornelius - Fly. Just a song, but hey I think it might be more what you're looking for
more industrial boom bap similar to Techno Animal and 2nd Gen
Unironically ITAOTS
bump
Old wave
not a genre, but medieval weezer
doom country
Nickel back
Guess no one knows what I'm looking.
Cringer? Poi dog pondering?
acoustic jazz-punk with strong folk influences
I feel like PC music is almost math pop
Sample-based experimental rock, like Disco Inferno.

Moonshake is exactly what you are looking for.
Also, maybe Stereolab.

Quite a high amount of gets in this thread.
Give me the most polyphonic take on Romantic era art music you know of!
All I got's Youngblood Brass Band, it's all acoustic instruments, but not acoustic guitar if that's what you were hoping for.
Would sludge and stoner count considering their immense southern USA influence? Or what about something like Casualties Of Cool which is country music but with a more downbeat, haunting atmosphere?
If you don't mind Italian rapping, Cuore amore errore disintegrazione by Uochi Toki
If you want english...uhhh it's not really it but Moodie Black's Nausea?
Big Black is the obvious recommendation here
Die Kreuzen might also be to your fancy
Not sure if it's it, but MX-80 Sound maybe they sound like some sorta weird proto thrash post-punk
I had in mind doom/stoner using country instruments, with a similar atmosphere to something like Casualties of Cool, but slower.
progressive synth rock
>already heard all ELP
Ohhh. Okay maybe something like Heavy Kingdom by Wino and Conny Ochs. In fact, most of Wino's solo stuff is acoustic singer songwriter stuff somewhat inspired by the many doom metal bands he has been in plus folk/country.
If you don't mind covers or live stuff, there's Acoustic Wizard, a dude who does acoustic covers of Electric Wizard songs, and of course Warning/40 Watt Sun have both done live acoustic renditions of their tracks.
this
Try El-Ps earlier stuff and also Food for Animals
Assjack/Hank 3
Trust me
>Progrresive shoegaze
>Experimental folk
what album? mobileshit right now
16-17 - Gyatso
Dronegaze
Dream Hop/Dream Rap
Post-Folk
Ambient Metal
>Heavy Kingdom
this is what I was looking for. Thanks man.
...
just anything with guitars heavily treated with synthesizers
not super weird i know but i've been trying to find more of it
>Meth Rock
Like there's stoner rock and psychedelic rock, but the other drugs seem to be unrepresented in music
