Why hasn't there been an actual Slenderman horror flick yet?

Because only 11 year olds would go to see it and it's rated R

Normies have fucking ruined him.

And a Slenderman film would have to be boring to work at all. The only way Slenderman is actually legitimately spooky is if he is incredibly subtle and shows up for very brief periods/seconds in the background. The minute you have him get up close to the camera you might as well have him be Budget Jason.

Too played out. Maybe like 4 years ago it would have been a hit. Plus isn't there that marbles hornets thing?

>sony

It would just be full of jump scares.

>Sony
Lol. Are they going to try to build a creepypasta cinematic universe!?

Like an scp movie? I'd watch that.

Hollywood takes at least half a decade to catch up to the latest trends. Why do you think they took so long to make the Angry Birds movie?

wouldn't be scary

Sup Forums would empathise too much with the bad guy

There kind of already is?

is this worth watching in full?

Um, there was a Marble Hornets movie. It sucked ass though.

Fuck. I forgot what part I left off on

Guess I gotta start all over

Ah, The first series is pretty good. Especially for something that is zero budget. Watch it at night home alone for the full effect. The 2nd series at the motel is ok-ish. I lost interest around there. I'm yet to watch the 3rd series.

There is , it was shit , and had Shane Dawson in it

>4 THE LULZ

Found footage works way better in the hands of youtube users with no budget and big ideas than a movie studio with a big budget and no ideas.

didn't this involve Sup Forums?

i love horror in all its forms: campy, atmospheric slow burn, b-grade, monster movies, found footage, whatever. if it has horror listed in the genre, i will give it a watch.

smiley was a failed abortion of a movie that should be completely physically and mentally erased.

it has zero redeeming qualities and was obvious sloppily made. there is no love or thought gone into it, some dipshit who probably has parental connections within the movie industry was gifted money by a miracle, came up with this half arsed concept and kind of tried to put it to film. i actually felt insulted that he allowed it to be distributed. it's the equivalent of an assignment done at 3:30am that is due at 12:00pm that day and you're still kind of drunk from the party. but you don't really need the marks so it doesn't really matter so you kind of just hit the word count and hand some bullshit in. it's lazy. i hope he feels bad and is constantly reminded of his shortcomings for the rest of his life in the industry.

i hope it hampers him professionally and personally and prevents him from finding a wife because everyone in the circles he moves around in knows what a talentless, unmotivated loser he is.

Which is the one where he goes floating past the windows? That shit was nuts.

but he did it 4 the lulz

This one maybe?

Spendemayne is a shitty fucking concept for a horror film. Oh look its a dude in a suit with long arms arms and shit goddamn im shitting my pants right now
Knowing that they know they have an audience ie reddit normieb crowd they might make close to breaking even

Trial is still pending.

he was so obviously playing up the "Sup Forums is a really dark and edgy place" thing trying to hook in people like.. i don't even know, what the fuck was he hoping, the few people who know what "doing it for the lulz" is would feel compelled to see the movie at the theatres because it has some meme in it?

i don't understand the target audience at all, there is no clear type of theme throughout the movie either. it's trying to be a slasher movie but there's virtually no action, it's all bullshit college emotional shit. which is generally bearable when you watch stuff like scream or urban legends or literally any other horror movie involving college students. that's fine. he made the bold and the beautiful look like a fucking dramatic masterpiece with the awful writing, terrible acting and bizarrely presented "characters" if you could even call them that. i hope this is one of those things that keeps him up at night because he's so embarrassed of how it performed.

ty

God damn. I remember being a young summerfag back when these were new and watching all of them in like the span of three nights. The computer was in the basement. I remember gunning it back up to my room to get to bed. No fucking around after watching that shit.

Can someone just tell Sony Pictures to stop?

Just stop making shitty ass movies. Fire Amy Pascal, and anyone else involved with their shitty company since the 2000's.

There are several pretty decent-to-good series on youtube regarding Slender Man. Marble Hornets, as posted in this thread already. There is also EverymanHYBRID, which had a neat gimmick. For 5 episodes straight it plays itself as a channel about healthy eating and keeping in shape, with "cameo" appearances by a fake Slender Man they had set up. There are also subtle foreshadowing at plot points that become apparent much later in the series. Then at episode 6, the series takes a darker turn as the crew is actually visited by the real Slender Man.

There was a third series and I forget its name but I'm sure you can find it.

>not playing those creepy as fuck slenderman games where the screen gets staticy and makes spooky noises when he appears by you in the woods

>making a movie about a blow up doll

>There was a third series

TribeTwelve

It was campier than the others and the story revelations were shit, but they had the best Slenderman effects.

Ah yeah that was it. Overall I'd say Marble Hornets>EverymanHYBRID>TribeTwelve. But it is most definitely worth watching for the effects.

Pascal was fired during the email fiasco but tainted crap she had her hands in will be around for a few more years.

Wasn't she just moved to another potion within Sony though?

The Tall Man, starring my waifu, Jessica Biel.

>there will never be a movie on Undying
