This actually looks pretty cool.

>actually paying for capemedia

Not even Sup Forums's that stupid.

I got it through a gift card plus a bonus movie ticket to Suicide Squad, so worth it.

I got the same steelbook as you OP.

Watched the Ultimate Edition a few nights ago and it was glorious. Getting around to the rest of the extras soon.

The Batmobile feature is pretty cringe.

Got a pic? I'm trying to decide between the steel and digibook.

>not paying for things you like
Kino doesn't grow on trees.

>ywn be tall enough to go to school dressed as knightmare batman during school dress up day

I personally dislike the digibook cover art and LOVE the steel book art... The batman poster with superman logo ripped in was my favorite promo image. Only four bucks more- can't go wrong.

>not supporting kino to show Snyder there's and audience that loves it and show WB that the directors cut is superior and would've been better received

Damn. Is that what being poor is like? You actually worry about spending 30 bucks every once in a while on something you like? Sounds rough.

Waiting for one with cum on it

Yeah, me too. Apparently it's an unpopular opinion but I really think the steelbook cover fits the "theme" of the movie a lot more (political thriller), though the artbook would be nice to have as well.

Also, from seeing the two in person, the steelbook art is much cleaner/sharper than the digibook art, which can be blurry (unlike the promo shots) because of its lenticular cover.

3D Ultimate Cut Blu-ray release is only 3D for theatrical cut. Bummer but Snyder's shots are so crisp with clearly defined fore and backgrounds that converting is looks quite good. Happy with my purchase.

>High Definition Cover
Nigga you should have downsized it a bit more, that's too clear for what would have been the technology at the time.

>Political thriller
Kek
Did you know Time Warner uses the money you give it for your bullshit to support Hillary

I don't have a 3D blu ray player so it doesn't affect me. I'm more annoyed WB didn't include IMAX version of BvS on disc. You just know they're holding out for the inevitable re-release to accompany Justice League.

Not 'murikkan so I couldn't care less who wins the latest shit flinging contest in burgerland.

Shop it yourself.

"false god"
It's A SuperMan movie. Where everybody hates him.... in his own movie...

>not actually cumming on ur blurays for Sup Forums
look reddit, i know you like the fun and games here, but now were getting into don't fuck with me territory.

Cum on your fucking blurays right now. do it faggot

the true essence of kino, if you were to ask me.

Can't do it. Just fapped.

My Dad picked up the non-Ultimate DVD Edition. Is it worth returning and swapping it? or is it not worth the hassle?

this is real batkino you plebs

...

TRUTH.

Do it. The theatrical cut's not worth owning. Ever. UE or nothing.

>2016
>buying DVDs
Do you not have a blu ray player?

Yes, me and my bro primarily buy Blu Rays, but my parents don't give a shit because they're normies. He just picked it up at a supermarket.

When there's clearly superior version of the film you want on blu ray, you shouldn't settle for anything less. Ditch that DVD at your earliest opportunity.

>cheap shitty sterile Timm DC cartoon
>kino
Pick one, dipshit.

Are you going to open that?

How tall is it compared to a regular DVD and Blu Ray case?

yeah, that's just the picture I took of it when my wife walked in the door and handed it to me.

Are you going to sit down and watch it with her son later?

will i be able to get the steelbook in a few months?

lol I sat down with both of my sons that night and watched it. I've seen it four times at home now.

Okay you've convinced me, I'll go back and swap it now. I'll post it if this thread is still alive

here

If only they released that cut in theaters instead. WB really fucked up.

>those digits

I would really love to own this to be honest

t. snyderfag

My physical copy is at home, so I present my Capekino Vudu. Both rated at 5-stars, of course.

Question for Australians: Does your UV copy come with the theatrical and extended cuts, or just the theatrical?

Thanks for the comparison! That looks fantastic. I think I'll go for standard version (or steelbook) since I'm OCD about my blurays lining up.

As much as I enjoyed the ultimate cut it wouldn't have worked in theatres. Instead of people just complaining about the disjointed narrative, you'd have people complaining that it was too long, not enough action, as well as grimdark.

>first post best post

Got it. No regrets.

I bought it on xbox, because im literally too lazy to actually go out or even order movies anymore.

On another note, I didnt really like or dislike the movie. But it was just boring, beginning seems more like a Tom Cruise action movie, so little superhero in it. Liked some comic book elements, but really hated the destruction porn and the blantant "nobody lives here"-messages that came up 3-4 times.
Can't say I'm excited for Wonder Woman

Pic didn't upload for some reason.

>No regrets.
Nor should you have any. Enjoy the sensory euphoria of true capekino, friend.

Also Lex was fucking ass, its literally his Zuckerberg character if he was less of a pussy.

what am i looking at?

no worries! my only worry there with the steel book would be that I'd want batman's side forward (to the right), and then I'd be triggered by the fact that the spine title would be backwards. but I feel your pain.

>"nobody lives here"-messages
I didn't care for it either, but it's understandable considering all the bitching about the massive death toll in Man of Steel.

This looks like shit. VHS back covers NEVER looked like this and they ALWAYS had a synopsis. And like someone else said it's too clear, also the front logo looks bad. Clearly this was made by some dipshit 18 year old

or wait. perhaps in my case it'd be fine. but I reckon if you prefer superman, this could be an issue.

Yeah, but much of it felt so out of place. Like the news guy, Batman and the military guy pointing it out. But the destruction didnt feel so "destruction for the sake destruction", actually felt more natural.

Clearly this post was made by some raging 14 year old

Have all my capekino

Great job! It also comes with cards? I didn't get any in my bluray...

Didn't they release two versions with either Batman or Superman in the front? In any case, I think there are tutorials online that teach you how to switch steelbook spines to whichever side you prefer.

a polished turd

I didn't have too much problem with Lex's character. It's fairly accurate to how he was portrayed in the comics (and how I imagine his younger self would be like). Minus the stuttering, of course. That I could do without. Here's hoping his time at Arkham Asylum raped it out of him.

it's a lenticular printing. to the left is superman, to the right is batman. not my favorite thing in the world, but certainly appropriate. I'm a sucker for a fat case, so I'm happy my wife knows me well enough to see that one and go, "that's the one." also, the excerpt from the art-of book is nice. I have the one for MoS, so it was a great little bonus to tide me over until I can get the book proper.

I still prefer the Smallville Lex as the young Lex. Intimidating in a classy way, kinda macho.

Is the full artbook worth picking up? I'm not sure how much they give you in the digipack...

What was Smallville's explanation for him losing his hair?

>"As a child, he is caught in the first meteor shower that renders him completely bald."

From wikipedia

I wish I could still find that Watchmen steelbook.

I think so. I'm enough of a fan, and I'm love all things art and design, and they're super rich in content. I will also always prefer having something to hold in my hands...old school. can't help it.

Um... ok? So does Lex have superpowers or something? Sorry I've never watched Smallville.

Not the guy you're responding to, but I like the artbook. There's actually two, the first is the artbook and the second is the tech manual. The art book is primarily for concept art and design and the tech manual goes over the costumes and props. I enjoyed both.

No, he was exposed to kryptonite as a child and lost his hair due to it. But his character was great, he was an intimidating businessman/boss that stood up for his friends.

Could you imagine being so pathetic as to flaunt your subpar capeshit bluray's as "kino" while being utterly ignorant of quality film making.

Of films that are actually difficult to find, to make, to appreciate, and spread awareness of?

We think alike :)

Thanks. That artbook looks pretty dope. I don't normally collect them but I might make an exception for this one.

suck a dick faggot

Film is a medium, not a scale. And quality is subjective.

No worries, man. If you get it, I hope you enjoy it. If you're on the fence, there's a ton of material out there that will give you a good idea of what's in the book if you want to look at it before you buy.

one of my favorite quotes from the artbook:

>Justice is vengeance without the passion, whereas vengeance is all passion.

>And quality is subjective.
