Lou Bloom was a straight-up unapologetic sociopath. With these people, there is no character development - there is only escalation. The film simply took Bloom's insanity to its logical extreme, then pushed further.

I liked Nightcrawler but aside from Lou, atmopshere and good directing it doesn't have much to offer. I'd give the movie a 7/10, and wasn't this the directors first movie?

Also, Jake Gyllenhaal really is on a streak here. The movies his in are all good. He's one of my favorite actors currently.
