build wall from america

That isn't really a question.

Show us your Reg. Number

I'm from Toronto, what are your thoughts on the increase in murders? also tell me something interesting

...

I won't provide FIN or anything of the sort.
Want to have a candid Q&A but won't reveal anything specific about myself or my department.

Nice bait

Most worrying aspect is the rise in gun crime.
Aside from that I don't have any particular feelings about it. There's only so much we can do to prevent crimes from happening and
typically that isn't our job- we can't always be there to prevent crime and end up having to clean up once it does happen.

What do you want to know?

got any good stories or interesting insider facts. I also have two firearms licenses and I'm hoping to join the cbsa if that doesn't work is it difficult to get on the force?

Least violent but crazy story I've got is when some kid was "swatted". Lived in a small townhouse with his mom.
We received a tip that he was preparing chemical weapons and for some reason this was enough to have us send out 2 fully geared units.

We arrived at the residence, knocked on the door, no response. We broke down the side door and there was nobody in sight.
Moved upstairs only to find a kid in his early teens sitting on his computer jerking off, mother wasn't home.
I don't really have to fill in the rest of the details as it goes without saying there were no "chemical weapons" of any sort.
There was no followup because the call was made from a public line.

Getting into the TPS is pretty tough right now.
There are a lot of "issues" regarding the amount of police that are on the "sunshine list" Ie making over $100,000.
If you're a minority I'd say you have a much higher chance of being considered than an average white guy because they're really pushing for diversity on the force.

Aside from that I'd say college is a definite minimum due to the influx of people wanting to become police, especially in Toronto.
Your best bet is to start on a smaller force like DRPS and move up from there if you get the opportunity to.
Also, don't fall into the trap of taking "police foundation" courses as they won't help you much with getting a job as an actual LEO.

Do you prefer when the general public is armed like in the US, and shoots robbers without waiting for the police or shoots criminals fleeing from a scene of a crime?
Or do you prefer the Canadian way of not arming the general populace.

Should I ask her out on a date?

I've met this cute girl a while ago and we've been bonding really nice, I'm feeling something else about her, we don't have much in common but still there's a connection between us, I don't want to lose her but neither I want her to see me as "a good friend", that said, there could be a chance that I fuck things up if don't go as planned and ending up losing her for good but I don't want to watch her being with someone else :(

In theory arming law abiding citizens is great but in practice it's a bit of a double edged sword when it comes to an LEO's perspective.

I've had more than a few close calls with armed individuals when I was working traffic and in general it seems nice to have an armed public but LEOs are already antsy enough in Toronto even with the way things are now.

I think it really depends on who you are and what your job is but as a cop I think it would put me a little on edge knowing that so many people are carrying guns around. At the same time though I think it's not all bad, and you have to take the good with the bad sometimes. All-in-all I'm personally for allowing citizens to carry firearms. But like I said, there's always a downside.

Go for it, champ.

I'm an immigrant but European so that probably doesn't count for shit. I'm close to Pickering so I may try the DRPS If the border patrol doesn't work out. Thanks for the help

No problem, good luck!

How hard is it to get onto the SWAT team? Make detective? Seriously considering a career change.

Well you need to join the force first.
You can't immediately become a detective nor can you instantly join the SWAT team.

Though, if you enjoy policing in itself the work you have to do leading up to either joining something specialized like SWAT or making detective will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Making detective will take years before you can reasonably apply for a promotion to that level so it all depends on how dedicated you are to the force and that too will vary by requirements you'll have to meet depending on what kind of detective you want to become.

As for SWAT, I'm not sure where you live but in most forces it isn't a "full time thing". What I mean by that is you will be a normal LEO but when needed will be called out (after having undergone appropriate training of course).

I imagine this would vary from location to location though outside of Canada.

...

of course leaf cops are afraid of an armed citizenry. Your country was founded by Tories. How's the Hands Off Policy on mudslimes going?

Until what age are you qualified to be in swat ie. at what point do people usually retire from that function? Fitness stamina and so on

You can be considered for a recruit role in the ETF (in Toronto) after the 2 year minimum service.

Typical retirement age is late 50s and I haven't met any ETF personnel over the age of 45.
Honestly ETF members are typically very fit and capable even in their later years. The problems they face are usually more mental than physical in nature.

i like that their SWAT looks like actual SWAT and not just military with police badge, that means they don't need to spend millions on police because Canadians aren't vile.

but at the same time, they need to get a proper APC and not a modified truck.

youtu.be/MAM_YrWG5O8

Your front tier lacks air, might want to check it

It'd be nice yeah but we don't really have the need for APCs over here.
Guns are very tightly controlled and the armored trucks we have serve their purpose well enough.

I don't imagine APCs would bode well with the citizens either.

Are the Dixon bloods real? How often are you called into action?

yeah the truck is fine for their needs, just not very roomy.

>Dixon bloods
They were real, yes.
They were dismantled through "project traveller" though it's believed that they spread out pretty far throughout Canada so there could still be remnants of them but nothing like before.

I'm called in at least twice a week, rarely does it escalate into a serious situation.

You're right it's a fact.

How does it feel once you realise you exist to extort money from the public and protect rich politicians?

Very strict gun control worried about rise in gun crime ROFL Dür cause no one HSS a gun now lmao

What is the point in monitoring this site?

I'm at peace with the fact that on some level I'm serving the elite.
At the same time though I take every opportunity I can to help my community.
Regardless of political agendas my job remains unchanged.
The difference I make in my area isn't groundbreaking but it's better than nothing and that's enough for me.

There have been various probes on Sup Forums, specifically Sup Forums and more than one pedophile ring has been dismantled as a direct result.

Where are your up armored horses

Our what?

yeah here it's part time. My city is right next to another, only a river separating the two. So our swat force is actually 2 departments plus several federal agents who are permanently stationed here. Training takes around 2 years, they train and orientate all candidates at the same time so if you miss a class you have to wait for the next one.

So what do you think about removing sissy cops who already have body armor but fear a good citizen having a gun to defend himself with removing your role as revenue generator and having cops only investigate crimes under the protection or armed citizens whom knowing full well a crazy retarded revenue generator might shoot and kill that person for no reason cept he pissed his pants in fear still carry.

What list of boards you actually monitor?

Yeah this place has cleaned up nicely though.
Seems like you would be wasting more time on the other chans though.
I was thinking this reason or possible the fact that Sup Forums usually has information before other sources.

What do you think about M-103?
Will it impact daily life for you as a LEO?

Are niggers a big problem in Canada

oh no the fucking leafcuck internet police are here hide the black market maple syrup and hacked porn of their fugly canuk wives

I don't really know how to respond to this.
Pretty loaded question that doesn't even warrant a response to be honest.
That will quite literally never happen especially considering the fact that most of the board members for gun legislation are vocally against citizens carrying them.

Various boards, there's no sticky note letting us know what is and what isn't being monitored but this website has been the target of various probes in the past.

I don't think my job's going to change based on this legislation.
I'm not racist but I am cognizant of the fact that extremism is especially prevalent throughout Islam. I can't do anything against it, the motion has been passed so all I can do is continue doing my job to the best of my ability.

Not particularly.

Ya it does those board members are part of the elite who do not have the peoples best interests in mind you never want an armed population much harder to control. What do you do as a cop I know USA side here cops are not there to protect you only get justice after the fact so USA cops are not here to protect me they write tickets tail light gets me a fine lol cause its a never burning out bulb right... Is Canada different?

You can't really group all of the police in any given country together.
I know the people I work with truly do want to make a positive change in our city but that isn't to say that there aren't plenty of
power-tripping assholes on any given police force.
I feel like the majority of Canadian police are more relaxed and more level headed than US police. I don't think this is due to any fault of the entire US policing system but may also be caused by the high population and crime rate.

It's a lot harder to be a nice guy when people are being gunned down on a day-to-day basis.

Aside from volunteering for the ETF I've been working homicide for the last 3 years.

I can kill you easily with one hand fucking pussy

I appreciate you all asking questions, it was enjoyable.
I really do think that policing is a very rewarding career and it isn't limited to people who would otherwise be considered academically "weak".

I chose policing over business (my original career path) and I haven't ever regretted my choice.
I implore everyone to try to keep an open mind when it comes to police, it's much easier to judge missteps from the outside looking in when you aren't cognizant of the daily trials and tribulations LEOs go through.

Take care, Sup Forums.

Did you lose your other hand in a Muslim country?

The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood.
Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.
>I'm a police officer! Here's 0 proof! Give me (you)s, please!

So you monitor this site for your job, but do you sometimes just do it for shits and giggles?

I always wanted to get my arse fucked a manly policeman, is it possible? No homo.

spam

edgelord

Sounds like someones a salty nigger who doesn't fix their shit. Fuck you. I know plenty of cops here that genuinely care about protecting people. Sorry, they just don't want to protect your shitty entitled self.

Are you ready to remove kabab?

No civilized country should have an armed and uneducated citizenry. Especially a country where alcohol, drugs, and the media put everyone on edge.
If that is your idea of an ideal country, kindly move your ass to Somalia please.

oh noes, the TPD is monitoring me!!!!

I need TP for my D
