Why isn't Native American culture as prevalent in Latin America as it is in the US and Canada?

Why isn't Native American culture as prevalent in Latin America as it is in the US and Canada?

because of conquistadors, but there is plenty of indian culture in peru and guetemala

LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS

Niggers

because you think it's le cool and shit but people here don't want nothing to do with natives

...

MEXICANOS

most of the city names in Guatemala and Peru are Spanish names, not native names. There's plenty of US states named after natives

Why? What are Colombian natives like?

Tell me about Mapuche terrorists in Chile

Well for Chile is easy, our natives want nothing more that to see our rotten corpses feed the Araucarias

they're not bad, people just don't like being seen as indios

I thought it was actually more prevalent than in the US?

I live in misiones a province at north of Argentina, and let me tell you they are freaking everywhere

well your not wrong

I mean even cumbia draws inspiration from native americans or at least an idealization of them that musicians popularized in the 60s

Mapuches hate us more what frenchman to the shower

casta system?

But you are mestizo, right? you hate half part of your heritage...

no, it doesn't matter your color skin, it's literally just that being related to indian culture is seen as bad, calling someone "indio" is like calling him "uncivilized"

ok, so mapuches are a fucking cancer in both our countries, how hard would it be to genocide them?

Roca 2.0 when? Apparently pure indians are like gypos in Spain

Why don't you Latinos put the Natives on reservations like we do? That way they don't assimilate into your society and they get to keep their culture

We do

No
Mestizo is half european and half native
Chile had many differents natives, and mapuches are just a small fraction of them.
They resulted to be the ones who always were a pain in the ass. Even in the colonial era.

Latin America is a continent-sized amerindian reservation

I wish

Roca did nothing wrong

Give them free liquor and they all die from Cirrhosis in less than one year.
Genocide without fire a single bullet

we preserve them in our blood, in colombia pure natives are like 3% of our population and decreasing because of racemixing with mestizos, blacks and whites

Is cumbia from the natives or africans?

This edgy motherfucker. They hate us, but I don't hate them. I understand their frustration and bthat both as a society and as a state we have bullied them to oblivion. I'd rather spend money fixing that than in haitians, peruvians, congolombians, dominicans, memezuelans, etc. who come here to larp as chileans to leach out of our taxes. Myself and many generations of chileans, including the mapuche, built this country. I want inmigrants to GTFO

Vallejo is that you ?

both, with a lot of spanish influence

Dude, in the beginning of the previous century almost half of the peruvian population was speaking quechua. A lot of our culture is native or part-native, the music, dances, food, traditions, ect. Nevertheless, it isn't as strong as it used to be, for example in the small town were my father was born, in northern peru, only the old people speak quechua, the children no longer learn the art of spinning, the people don't practice the minka or the ayni anymore. However, in southern peru the old ways have been preserved much better.

That's not very fair or true user. We have many cities, towns and even regions named after or influenced by Indian culture. Most of Cuzco's cities reflect this as well as the majority of highland settlements and their Quechua heritage. Where are you getting these facts?

Did you check his flag?

mapuches did nothing for this country you dumbass.

What have you done for your country you piece of shit?

Piruw atiy paypata allin!

Is that really a bad thing though they just wan their land

not for long paco prepare to take your indios back in mass

colony complex. See Philippines for an example you can understand more.

It is very important. it's also assimilated, but not forgotten. Hell, peruvian schools have history of the Tawantinsuyu as an obligation.

Not true at all. Most are native names. Even the name Guatemala is a native word
