boring

When the fuck is box gonna figure out who murdered her?

He's going to put blinders on and pin it all on the sweet muslim boy

Seems like its still pointing at the step-dad or someone who works with the step-dad.

He has a motive, resents the step-daughter and lives in a shitty neighborhood while she has a nice house to herself pissing it away on drugs.
Probably did it to get the house.

Loving the focus and attention to detail. True TV kino.

The stepdad is definitely a candidate, so is the fat black guy who gives them a menacing look as they get inside the house like he's taking notes, but afaik there were no signs of forced entry.

The other big red flag that it wasn't Nazir is that he barely had any blood on his body or clothes, just a tiny bit from when she got cut at first. You think with such a violent death, he would have gotten a lot more blood all over himself. That's the biggest plothole so far.

Otherwise I really like the show.

The title is retarded and so are you for liking this shit.

Something else that points to the fat black guy: when his stoned friend is talking to the police, he specifically mentions being alone when he saw Naz and the victim earlier the night of. Not mentioning the fat black guy is miiiiiiiighty suspicious if you ask me.

>don't enjoy things because I don't and am a faggot

Who were the two niggas in the cemetery that hamburger feet was taping?

ALso everyone is forgetting that we really don't know if he did it or not, and to be frank he doesn't seem to know one way or another.

I've blacked out before and done shit that I have no recollection of, haven't any of you?

Sans recordings showing me do the dumb shit i would have never believed it.

>So the big twist is he did kill her after all

Why did Nigrodamus throw the hot oil on him? Plus if you poured oil in a cup of hot water it wouldn't get instantly hot.

>oh and sand nigger protagonist Naz 'oh I better get a bigger nigger bully to bully back the nigger.' because that won't backfire.

>Sans recordings showing me do the dumb shit i would have never believed it.
well it's a good thing the deer head has a camera in it then

I heard this theory, screens proving?

Or tell me what episode it is in and I will go look for it.

why do the other inmates treat Naz like he was a child molester or something?

they think he raped

violence against women/rape is one small rung above child molesters in the penal system.

damn. i never knew that. always thought only pedos need to watch out their backs while in the can.

Because then the cops would make his friend come down to the station too
It was obvious he didnt want to go so why would he drag his friend into it?

>all white people are old and ugly
>Turturro is half as old and ugly but is still disgusting
>all black guys are handsome
>all Muslim men and women are extra handsome and cute

Jail and prison are quite different. Prison is much worse. Violence against women and children are the lowest of the low. Unless if you are an ape or spick administrative segregation is what you want. The worst part about it is the other prisoners, not the guards or the confinement.

I guess you are just attracted to black men.

>Why did Nigrodamus throw the hot oil on him? Plus if you poured oil in a cup of hot water it wouldn't get instantly hot.

How they do this was literally explained 30 mins beforehand

I don't understand that female attorney at all
>takes on nas' case for free cause "it reminds her of why she became an attorney "
>meets with nas just 30 minutes before the hearing like stone said with shitty public defenders
>Immediately goes for a plea deal to try and end the case asap, right after shit talking stone for that exact reason
>quits like a coward after realizing she will actually have to put in work when he doesnt take the plea
Is all this intentional on the writer's part?
It seems so subtle that i cant tell if I'm just looking into it too much

Yeah I know that, but it does not make sense. the oil wouldn't get hot that fast.

No, you are right.

Indian girls voice is fucking weird

It was political posturing on her part. She was using him.

it wasn't the oil, it was the chemical reaction that made it so fast

Every single black person was a horrible piece of garbage up until Omar playing his "le smart and sofisticated black man" role and that dude is still in fucking prison beating people up and shit

In the first two episodes every single negro on screen calls Nas some kind of sandman insult it was kind of weird

her master plan:
>swoop in
>do it for free
next step:
>political memery that makes her look good
>make him take the deal
>he goes to prison and it's done with

not her master plan:
>actually do any work without getting paid
>get paid fucking nothing by the sand people
>invest a lot of time and work

What i dont get is why did she ever take on the case for free?
Im thinking it simply to make herself look selfless when she is in fact extremely selfish

This

Water and oil do not react chemically with one another. Try again.

It was refreshing to see some racist dialect that did not include white people.

The only people that ar really portrayed in a positive light at this point is hamburger feet and Naz' parents.

this

see

hot water and baby oil is something that prisoners have used to scald other inmates irl so they figured something out that makes it work

>

At least you agree that all Muslim men and women are cute

fuck, even the dumdums realis3d hes to no good when he showed the pic.
I got it the moment he started helping him for no obvious benefit.

I don't know there's Nas and his dad that isn't exactly many and I don't think his dad looks any good

proof

I tend to not like anyone ever.

anybody else think the ganglord nigger in jail is responsible for calling the hit on the gril that died?

how did the oil nigger not realize nas was gonna go and cry to omar

that's a stretch dude and if that's how it turns out i would be disappointed

You can find multiple artcles on it happening, I just searched for them

It doesn't burn you directly and comes to a boil directly. It sticks to your skin. If something sticks your skin it doesn't need to be incredible hot to cause massive burn wounds

She got on the case late, took a look at the evidence and knew the best he could realistically win was a plea deal.

She only wanted the publicity with success. Didnt want to take the trial once it was a lost cause.

If the nigger was smart and didnt act on impulse, he wouldnt be in jail in the first place.

>If niggers did this we wouldn't have prisons user

it wasn't just impulse though, he planned that shit

talking to nas beforehand and all that, long con

I think he was just triggered by nas saying he dindu nuffin
The rest just seemed like set up and pay off from the writer

i thought it was implied he gave nas shit advice on purpose and he would have had to prepare the baby oil and stuff, he probably doesn't just have that lying around

true spoilers (dependant on how closely they adhere to the series it was based on, and so far they have stuck very close):

in the end some last minute fucking garbage third-act reveal of a new completely un-related character is the murderer. The series (Criminal Justice) really shat the bed IMO, throwing in constant stupid last-minute twists for drama's sake and based on what we've seen so far it looks like they're going to keep them all in. Expect a lot more shit like from this episode where Naz changes his mind and his plea at the last possible second.

It's disappointing to me because I liked how in the first few episodes the tension came from knowing what was going on and seeing that even with all the pieces there's no way out. I think they kind of lost that towards the end (in the original series at least.

I dont think it was a black & white kind of deal.
He started talking with Nas out of curiosity and slowly built up the image of his niece's killer within him till he reached breaking point and decided to scold him.

I really enjoy the psychological shit going in the jail. Its not clear cut what anyones intentions are.

Reminds me of school bullying. The hardest ones to beat are those that pretend to be your friends, but just fuck with you. It messes with a person's friend or foe identification.

Is the original worth watching?

I dont think i can last this weekly release schedule.

>Omar playing his "le smart and sofisticated black man"
he's got a highschool education and is literally just out to manipulate people what are you talking about

>all black guys are handsome
I think you might just be discovering something about yourself here user
there are as many normal looking white extras as police officers and what-have-you as there are black guys.
>all Muslim men and women are extra handsome and cute
you mean Naz's immediate family (not even his extended family, who are old and/or uggos?)

>>Omar playing his "le smart and sofisticated black man"
>he's got a highschool education and is literally just out to manipulate people what are you talking about

oh come on he's totally the street smart negro man

it's omar but not as gay

the way he's not actually all that smart and stuff is an interesting spin on the sophisticated negro archetype though

it feels a bit dated and the tone is more melodramatic and less a dry, measured slow burn. So far I prefer this version but the original is completely watchable and somewhat enjoyable. It also had a season 2 (different case) so if you like you could start with that to tide you over while you wait.

>he's totally the street smart negro man
I think that's fair but he's no sophisticated black man, he's got no quiet nobility about him, he's a manipulative sociopath and nothing more.

he doesn't want Naz because he's smart, he's just posturing himself that way because he sees that's what Naz values about himself and that's his way in. He wants to get Naz to owe him and he needs to find a way to get him to say it.

Take a look at the scene where he says "tell me what you think I value most over there" (paraphrased). It doesn't matter what Naz picked, it wasn't about revealing what Omar found important (I don't actually remember the actual character's goddamn name), it was just Omar figuring out what Naz finds important so he can exploit it. Naz could pick anything off that shit and you could easily see how a 3 sentence story could be cobbled together around it so Omar can pretend he and his mark share the same values.

It's just his in. It's why he clumsily fumbles with that high-school bookclub level book recommendation. He's not well read, jails have libraries and he's been there a fucking while.

Still think he had a chance to run but he has no passport what fuck up. At least get to another state. Then work your way down to mexico find some place to cross over to mexico lol nobody is going to stop you. He will probably be in jail for 3+ years before he gets to trial and gets convicted.

This show is really fucking good desu.

I love how it builds agony inside me. The first episode was fantastic. And this towelhead actor is really good.

I think he might be called Teddy or Freddy but I'll just go on calling him Omar too

You are right with the items of value and Omar's general character I think
I liked the part where Omar told him to read Jack London and Naz told him that he's over 20 years old and attending Harvard and that he read fucking Jack London

The prison stuff is enjoyable, I like that sort of thing
Rape when

He was good as sidekick in Nightcrawler
I wish he was my sidekick

>Take a look at the scene where he says "tell me what you think I value most over there" (paraphrased). Thats a good point, I did think it was weird that they agreed on the certificate when the obvious answer would have been Freddy's son.

And the obvious books would have been regarding law.

I wonder what how he'll make Naz repay him

>I wonder what how he'll make Naz repay him

oh you know exactly how he will make naz repay him

I dont know, Naz doesnt look fuckable even if he is weak. Those sandnigger genes are just enough to save him.

Plus Freddy has access to female prison guards. I dont think he'll be that desperate for some twink arab just yet

remember when his gf was smuggling him shit and he banged her and she says "i can't do this anymore baby"

well SOMEONE has to step in...

i tried to make an new thread about how this show is nice example of how "we" could fix horrr genre(topic i see emerges a lot here) but my old android is acting up. Also The Purge is the prime example of how NOT to make an modern "horror".
Anyway, moder day hell from perspectiveof average guy who did everything right.
BTW.
Naz is UK actor andthere is great British black comedy about terrorists try toblow themselves up but are too incompetent, look it up, its agood watch and a great youropoorview on whole situation

True but its only been a week or two. Im sure he has porno mags to tide him over for a while.

If he wants Nas this soon, he must be a fag.

My guess is he needs someone smart to do complex paperwork for his jail business.

they don't have paperwork in the jail business

what if he needs someone to liquify his garlic

I didnt know this wqs an remake, is there an chance Naz acctually did it(in HBO version), purely as an mindfuck from hbo.
I get there is no blood on hm but it wasnt as if he stroke arteries, also , police officers did a bad job while apprehending him.
Afaik. She left the doors open when she released the cat because he was alergic. Then anyone could enter, but i dont see the motive, she was an drug abuser so maybe her drugdealer(she owes money!?),stepdad but why, they dont live together, maybe inheritance!?
Its not as if an person would enter , saw 2 naked people sleeping and decided to stab one for the sake of it.

>is there an chance Naz acctually did it(in HBO version), purely as an mindfuck from hbo
it's possible; the show is designed around the idea that the viewer doesn't know whether or not he's guilty, and the case is purposely built such that it could go either way.

but they have already lain the groundwork to get him off: most notably the aspirator that Box took from the crime scene

She just meant the drug smuggling. She still want the d

She said she can't smuggle drugs for him anymore. She told him they could still fuck.

I don't think it was impulsive, because right before they start talking, there's a shot of the hot water spigot steaming. Seems like he would have at least thrown it in his face, but I guess Freddy Krueger makeup that would ruin his innocent, clean-cut look they're going for.

It's taking every bit of my willpower not to click on those fuckers...

Does this count as pottery, Sup Forums?

What does it symbolise?

I do like some of the subtle shit they do, like showing Stone's rashy feet off the end of a bed from an angle that makes you think its the girl's body for a moment.

They focused on the eyes of it a lot, it's similar to that camera from true detective s2

...

The Night Of is the best tv show I have seen in a long while. It has a The Wire feel but is even more sombre. I hope they don't come up with an Agatha Christie kind of twist at the end. But so far I enjoy it. Naz is picking up the game. Attorney bitch got served and Stone is a dirty old man with a decent heart.

>It has a The Wire

you mean they cast all the same negros

>mfw I feel like Stone waiting for the next episode to come out

I wish everyone got on the Netflix model.

>I hope they don't come up with an Agatha Christie kind of twist at the end.
Difficult to avoid. If Naz did not kill then they need a murderer with a motive (none given so far) who is able to get inside, knew she was home (she was a party girl and it was party night) and knew she was sound asleep (else she could have caused all sorts of trouble). That is a pretty long shot. They will need to come up with something for that.

>you mean they cast all the same negros
no, I mean that gritty reality feel of seeing actual people (not the standardised beauties of pleb tv) and the harsh reality of the legal system (where cost efficiancy is a major factor). No good hero vs. villain fighting for the compassionate love interest.
