Who wants to record a solo over my interpretive jazz stylings? Feel free to really let loose
Nathaniel Sanchez
No one ever mentions the Gibson Byrdland, it's even shorter than the Jaguar. I wonder if Ted Nugent is a really small dude, the guitar looks huge on him.
Joshua Howard
Are you serious?
Ryder Martin
>I wonder if Ted Nugent is a really small dude, the guitar looks huge on him. Probably not. The neck is really short scale, but the body is a normal-sized hollowbody. They look huge on everybody.
Chase Gutierrez
Not a jazz guy I take it
Eli Martinez
Stop buying Fenders.
Lucas Gray
Because?
Asher Green
Nah it's actually pretty cool, just couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic. After 1:00 it's nice. Joke or not you got something there kid.

Asher Smith
Fuck off, Samuel.
Carter Gray
I'd rather not. Fenders are typically great guitars. Given they're set up correctly.
Jackson Roberts

Christopher Barnes
What the hell, that guy could never play the jazz like me
Michael Sanders
Fennesz's playing is so comfy. Getting sleepy. Good night /gg/

Zachary Thompson
Jaguar works well if you're a girl, desu.
Jayden Young
I meant to lump all three of them together. Didn't work out the way I intended.
Bentley Bennett
The Jaguar is literally just a Jazzmaster with superior hardware. Both are nu male guitars though.
Blake Rogers
redpill me on shortscale guitars /gg/
Gavin Brooks
What is not a nu-male guitar, then? I've seen every single guitar on the planet described as a "nu-male" guitar on this fucking board.
Kevin Campbell
No. They're shit. There's no reason to ever own one.
Kayden Garcia
It's like a regular guitar but with a shorter scale
Jonathan Long
Gibson Les Paul Standard. Pic related, a real mans guitar.
Michael Foster
Well, they're not bad. They're just worse than my Fender Strat with humbuckers.
Isaac Bell
At least we can all agree that PRS are for gays
Hudson Cook
Anything that isn't an offset. Teles and Strats can be nu male depending on the finish.
Grayson Russell
>Queer Reed Smith >Fender Strat with humbuckers. Gross.
You won't ever be mistaken for a nü-male with one of the nasty bitches poppin' out pussy juice everywhere in the audience.
Jack Clark
Alright fags, enough talk. Post your axes.

Chase Cox
The shorscale ain't THAT short. 24" when Les Pauls are 24,75".
Jonathan Thomas
if you're a gay little twatqueef you might not be able to reach more than 3/4 of an inch
Aaron Collins

Zachary King

Anybody here play nickel nanos for bass? I'm looking for a bright string without too much clank and zing, but a pleasant grind and growl when digging in. These seem to be brighter than the typical nickel but a touch less that steel. I think I'm already settled on some coated string or another, I like how they sound against the frets. I'm putting them on a 32" bass.
Eli Allen

Recommend me an amp. >Tubes >Low-wattage, will be used in an apartment >Used for metal, I have another amp for lighter music >Footswitchable clean channel is a plus though >Combo or head & cab, doesn't matter >Price around 1000€-1600€ including at least one good quality speaker
Engl Ironball and Marshall 2525 are pretty good candidates. What else is there?
Ian Rivera
Whats more pathetic?
Owning a Les Paul or owning only a Les Paul Studio?
Liam Myers
Les Paul, if you bought it new.
Jayden Ward
in my experience even 5w tube amps will be too loud for most apartments with a 12' speaker, and most of the fault here is actually the speaker.
i've been using an orange #4 for a good while and had 3 different Eminence speakers, v120, wizard and man o' war. all 3 of them are loud as fuck, they make bedroom play almost impossible and that's on 7w.
i saved the head for playing around with friends and shit, and just went to amp modelling software.
Tyler Edwards
Soon.
Robert Reyes
why are slides on the low E so badass
Jordan Young
Please vocaroo you playing. The true test is if you post something of you playing, if no one talks shit then you're probably a better player then them.
>not even posting samuel's best work Get better at this
Benjamin Rivera
I currently have a Laney L5T and it is indeed loud but once I get out this apartment, it will be perfect. Currently the volume is manageable but I can't push the amp at all.
I know that software is handy for home use but I usually want to get away from computers after work and occasionally play with my friend. I'm not a band guy but I still want a nice (small) amp.
Brayden Morgan
Needs a tortoise pickguard and cream pickups and knobs to match the binding.
Sebastian Carter
Someone please answer me this, how high or low so you play your guitar? It's been bothering me for awhile now since I'm learning how to play. I usually play it just below the crotch. But I see other guitarists like Albert Hammond Jr play with the guitar nearly on his chest. But then you get someone like Tom DeLonge who plays with the guitar hitting his knees. Is there like a height to guitar ratio? Or is it just preference? Anons I need to know. > Pic is Tom DeLonge who had back surgery because of playing his guitar at an odd angle
Logan Moore
I'd say go as high as it's confortable for you, it's easier to play that way. Generally the less effort it takes you to play the guitar the better you will be able to convey your musicality, so you shouldn't really give a shit if you don't look "stylish" or whatever, at least that is my opinion, feel free to disagree.
Xavier Gomez
It's kind of a preference but not quite. Having the guitar too high or too low will strain your arms and make it hard to play. In my opinion the ideal way of playing is the classical style. So sit down, put your guitar between your legs, raise your left leg a little and adjust the strap. That way the guitar is not too high or low and your playing position will the same whether you're sitting or standing.
