more like this? I honestly tried Replica but it's just so "lol random samples" sometimes it's not as good as pic related

Try Twoism by BoC
Very different style but you might like this

thanks lad, this is great
I should've said, I know all of boc already
freescha - freeschaland
youtube.com
casino vs. japan - go hawaii
youtube.com
This is great and a classic but not what this person is looking for
>youtube.com
wow that casino versus japan is heavenly
Check out the new Tycho.
this dude is pure trash. started off ripping off BoC ("lmao, I hope nobody will find out!"), but when people found out he was all "oh shit, gotta change it up" and he has been garbage since then. literally soulless music.
Pic related recently scratched my BoC itch.
Check out the One on Twoism mix series from twoism.org members.
Also Freescha and Plaid's discgography.
I totally and utterly disagree. Great band live too.
lol no
although past is prologue is a really nice album , i'd rec it to anyone who likes boc
Check out Biosphere.
Shoegaze/dream pop influenced downtempo.
not an album, but "The Big Ship" by Brian Eno (from Another Green World)
Bonobo, Nightmares on Wax, Zero 7, Moby
tycho is better than boc though, and i say that as a fan of both
kys, and I say that as an ambassador of good taste
After seeing Tycho live I had to come to this realization also.
....no. Bless you, though. But no.
Tycho live is just bland generic post-rock though, no?
does anyone have this, Chocolan - Nothing Left To Abandon, as a rar or zip download?
No download but it's on bandcamp, youtube and streaming services.
Check soulseek?
Ametsub
I'm liking this but hot damn is it rinsing Campfire Headphase and Tomorrow's Harvest.
More like Ozric Tentacles
Yep. Modern BoC imitators do it without subtlety.
The closest to MHTRTC I found is the Casino Vs Japan album, Go Hawaii.
It's absolutely shameless!
monoton did boc 15 years before boc made their first official release

Sounds like a stripped down version of Sixtyniner. Very nice!
Biosphere
Future Sounds of London
How do you even make music like Boards of Canada that don't sound like a rip-off? Any bands that managed to create their own signature sound?
tobacco and bsmr maybe?
also clouddead, arguably
Black moth super rainbow
I would say odd nosdam is closer to BoC than clouddead as a whole.
Clouddead should still be listened to.
>Replica
>lol random samples
It's not trying to be remotely similar to BoC. If you think anything in Replica is "random" then you have no taste.
Biosphere
Of Montreal
Röyksopp
Irresistible Force
Namlook
Global Communication
Have you heard Old tunes v1, v2 and 35 track tape?
>of montreal
wat
I've heard people comparing Replica to BoC, but I think only the first track sounds similar
You're lucky because BoC hasnt performed live in over a decade, and if they did, they'd blow that talentless hack out of the water anytime
OPN's synth work is arguably a bit similar but it's really comparing apples and oranges. (OPN is more talented IMO, though BoC's best few songs arguably have catchier melodies than OPN's.)
honestly i don't doubt that people who listened to ambient thought BoC was ripping off melodies from their darling German or English 70s group.
listen to Black Moth's first three albums, they're all great.
Boc Maxima for sure. A lot of the same stuff from MHTRTC, but unpolished and like stuff that didn't fit on the album.

The orgasm samples on that album are really fucking annoying. It just feels like they were trying to be edgy.
holy fucking shit ass bitch nigger faggot
Different drums and synths, more prominent melodies.
Lean towards synthwave like Com Truise or towards Ambient Techno like Casino V Japan
...
Bolas is sort of vaguely similar in some aspects. More hip-hop influenced, though.
Odd Nosdam pretty much is cLOUDDEAD as far as I'm concerned. I mean the rapping is cool and unique and whatever but the production is what gives it its personality
I think thats true for S/T but the comination of the raps and the beats are what make Ten great. (not as good as S/T obviously)
Also the beats from S/T don't even come close to Odd Nosdam's solo stuff
